My grandson asked me for a boomerang last week. There like 40 bucks online. He's only 3. Nobody knows were he saw a boomerang at but you solved my problem! Many thanks Mr Schafer.
Got confused by a part, but then did it. It is amazing how you can think of origami ideas like this. This is better and easier to fold then Rob's super boomerang

If you make it carefully it should work... but the four little spiral are hard to make when it gets that small, and you really need those spirals to lock the flaps so that the model can fly well.
After almost 10 years, I'm back becuz this guy made me famous in school especially the wakataki origami, I was much younger and it gets sad that I'm slowly growing up but it doesn't matter because me coming back to this means there's still some part of me as a kid not ready to grow up. Thanks Jeremy for making my childhood awesome!

Wow! a real vertical throwing boomerang! (thanks for making it fly like a real one)
Now, if you make the mirror model, I think you can throw it like an original boomerang...
Or if you are left-handed. I know how to forehand throw a frisbee but I'm not very good yet at throwing a boomerang that way.
I'm a boomerang enthusiast, and my advice for that is that you hold the boomerang with the upper side pointing to the right (as a left-boomerang must be thrown, you know) but just hold it with your right hand. Then, as some off-vertical angle must be achieved, lean the whole body to the left, so that your arm, holding the boomerang, gets some 5 or 10 degrees off vertical to the left. Kinda difficult if you are recording on first person view, but once I bought a lefty by mistake, and I learnt to throw it this way. Maybe Victor Poulin could help you too...

great model of yours cause when rob made it he taped two boomerangs and no folds needed and when making the boomerang he ripped the paper but in your way you just used a piece of kami and made it in 11 mins. and rob made the boomerang in 14 mins. but just a regular boomerang anyway i'm a fan of yours

back here after 6 years! i swear jeremy was the amusement source of my childhood and I missed it so much!
I was just about to say that! I cried the whole video, I miss my childhood so much
@@diywithreza same! when i first started to do that boomerang, i was frustrated because i couldn’t do it precisely and my final result wouldn’t come back at me, so i used to take 5 sheets of paper until i make a boomerang that actually comes back at me. now, i did one 2 days ago, and it still doesn’t come back and it fails everytime, which reminds me of that frustrating evenings of boredom.

wow! this is so easy to do that I copied every single move taking 1 hour each and rage quit and threw it into the trash can. it does fly super good!!!
