Old stale bread is absolutely the favorite food of redworms and the euro nightcrawlers.

Ive found small pieces of hard plastic on my 360's "finished" tray. Never thought i fed them that. Agreed plastic is everywhere. The castings look great.

Did you consider doing a harvest and resetting the bin instead of just a feeding, Noel?

I did and maybe if I had some bedding material ready I would have done a harvest. I'll try to get some ready for next time.

Do the European NC give off the same foul smelling liquid as the red wrigglers?

None of my systems smell foul. If they do you might be overfeeding and/or getting anerobic conditions. Only time I had this issue was when I added Bokashi to my worm bin. But even that only lasted a few days before it went away.

Oh that watermelon feeding was worth the wait for them!! Great video to show worms will be fine on a long vacation!!🪱🪱🪱
