As someone who has fished in the ocean before and handled sharks no they actually aren't slimey. They're somewhat slippery simply by being wet, but the denticles on their skin do feel much like sandpaper. I've only handled small ones though. They're just as susceptible to taking line bait as any other fish and are commonly caught off of piers.
There are so many little things I didn’t notice on first watch - your animation is almost as smooth as Gura’s tail (as long as you go from bottom to top, not top to bottom)
