I definitely agree that Verbolten is crazy underrated
I didn't hear anything about the drop part in verbolten, so I thought oh are we gonna get launched because of the other launch parts in the ride previously, I was getting ready for the launch but then the drop part happened and I screamed like a little girl because It took me by surprise way more than it did. I do also love this ride so much, and I would give it a 9/10
The line is so long though
Objectively, Pantheon is the best, but Verbolten was my favorite.

I pretty much agree with Marc’s statements on Tempesto and Pantheon. Pantheon is supremely underrated and is inside my top 5

As a lifelong park goer, I’m shocked to see Verbolten so high and Apollos Chariot so low. I will say Verbolten does have an excellent first time shock value. I remember waiting in line to ride it for the first time and saw everyone get off with the same look on their face.
Verbolten has always been one of our favorite rides in the park! It's nice to see it get the loves it deserves! Although, we rode it a few times last Monday and it was significantly shakier than last year! Dark Coaster we weren't impressed with, but it's a great choice to get out of the sun for a bit considering it always has a 60-90 min wait.
Big Bad Wolf was my first coaster and it will always have a place in my heart. If it had to be replaced, Verboten is a fabulous replacement. It's such a good coaster.
I LOVE Verbolten. I went into riding it knowing nothing, so needless to say I was completely surprised. My BGW unpopular opinion is I would rank Alpengeist at the bottom. For whatever reason anytime I've gotten a ride on this it rides super rough for me.
i always end up with a massive headache after alpengeist so i’m with u on that, but tempesto and darkkoaster are def below it imo
Finally Verbolten is getting the love it deserves. I too have it at my no. 2 in the park. I noticed your intro was different as well. Nice work 👍

Verbolten was my favorite at BGW. Definitely underrated! We moved away before Pantheon was finished, so I've never ridden it. Second favorite for me was Alpengeist. Great list!

Busch Gardens is one of my home theme parks, so I’m fortunate enough to have experienced these rides throughout my entire life (Big Bad Wolf would rank somewhere in the middle, RIP).
I've never been to Busch gardens but I'm going there for a band trip and my group of friends love roller coasters so I'm pretty excited to try some of these rides
My list:
-Pantheon
-Griffon
-Apollo chariot

-Tempesto
-Grovers
Alpengeist destroys my feet and my brain, and Verbolten destroys my brain… they are so rough this year
For me it goes:
10: Grovers
9: verbolten (i hate drop tracks and loved Big Bad Wolf)
8: Alpengheist (too much head banging, but the first 2 inversions are elite)
7: Loch Ness (the loops were my first inversions, and this coaster was also my first drop over 100 feet so, nostalgia)
6: Tempesto
5: DarKoaster (a fun much needed addition to an already amazing line-up)
4: Invadr (best laterals in the park)
3: Apollo’s Chariot (don’t know why so many people get “bad rides” on this thing. It’s a fantastic back row night ride loaded with floater).
2. Griffon (10th row edge seat is elite dive coaster)
1: Pantheon
Apollo is fantastic. It has a bit of a rattle in a couple of spots. And the airtime isn't as strong as some B&M hypercoasters. But the back row rides are top tier and the setting is the best for any B&M hypercoaster. And night rides are fantastic.

growing up, apollo's chariot was always my favorite. i went back to bgw recently and was very severely underwhelmed by it. it's not bad by any means, but i think pantheon spoiled me with how insane its airtime is. i've also grown to consider verbolten one of, if not my favorite ride at bgw. it's crazy how intense it is and yet is still loved by kids and enthusiasts alike.
I went there last year but it rained so the only roller coaster I went alon was Verbolten and I loved it. It was the first non year kitty or water roller coaster I’ve been on and it was worth the wait the drop surprised me and everybody on it screamed

Even though griffin is short I think it might be my favorite because it was my first big coaster and lock ness monster is one of my favorites because it was my first coaster all in all tho pantheon is my favorite

I went on Verbolten with a friend for the first time and I asked him if there was a drop, he said no, 5 seconds later I probably almost got a heart attack

Verboten is my favorite, I’m going again this year, but last time I went it was 2017, InvadR just opened, and I was still afraid of tall coasters so all I rode were Verboten, InvadR, and Lochness Monster one of 2 coasters I credit for getting over my fear, it was my first looping coaster/ coaster with inversions, and phantom’s revenge got me over my fear of heights and speeds

Agree 100%. Having Been to BGW since it opened in 1978 I've ridden all the coasters when they opened. However I would rank big bad wolf #2-3. Haven't ridden the two news yet but will this summer

The trims on Alpengeist’s mid-course break run can be hit or miss. I was just at the park last Thursday and Friday and they barely hit so you went flying out of the break run and tore through the rest of the layout.

Great Analysis, totally agree on Verbolten. That said I'm not nearly as high on DarKoaster, though I camped out a 90 min wait for it on my one ride so it might have set my expectations too high

I am sooooo on board with you about Apollo's Chariot! I was bored when I rode it. No excuse for it being one of the first of its kind. It's more like a sketchy first draft!
I went quite a few years ago but only got to ride 3 coasters cause it was so buys (loch ness, Apollo, tempest). I thought Apollo was better than King’s Domino’s Intimidator and mostly cause there was only a lap bar on Apollo. KD has a tendency to strap you so tight in the rides that you can’t really feel anything

I went to Williamsburg in 2019, so I haven't ridden Pantheon or Darkcoaster. I also skipped Invadr and Grover. Griffon was my favorite coaster I rode that day. Verboten was surprisingly really good. Alpengeist was fun but not as good as Montu. Tempesto was my first sky rocket, so I enjoyed it. Apollo's Chariot is probably the weakest B&M hyper I've ever ridden.

I feel the same way about darkoaster
I've long held Alpengeist as my overall Number 1 at BGW. I have so many fond memories riding it that it's hard for me now to say whether or not I like Pantheon more. In my brain, I say I do. I my heart, I say I don't.
And how do you get 2 laps on Grover? I've ridden it numerous times, all with just 1 lap. Vapor Trail at Sesame goes around twice, but BGW has always given me one. Can even see it in my POV on it.
The Verbolten Glaze Has to be stopped 😭🙏💯
This is honestly impossible for me lol since it’s my favorite theme park but let’s go with:
8. Tempesto- There’s just not something too special about it, there’s a lot of clones like this one.
7. Apollo’s Chariot- The sun shone in my eyes when I rode this and the highs fear kicked in on the lift hill😅😂
6. InVadR- Now agreed this is a nice woodie, but again BGW doesn’t have an RMC yet and I wonder if it could provide a better experience.
5. Loch Ness Monster- I forgot about this one, but it’s super unique with its interlocking loops, the OG version was fantastic, and I’m sure the modifications and theming could be better.
4. Pantheon- Now, the back spike of course was terrifying for me, but other than that I was laughing and screaming on all of the inversions and launches.
3. Griffon- With my only B&M dive credit, this ride is a lot of fun and I love how it’s located in the France section. C’est sûper!
2.Verbolten- Agree with everything you said about this ride and it’s just so underrated. It’s got an interesting history, the queue line is fantastic, and it’s just all around a fun ride that everyone can enjoy.
1.Alpengeist- Now being partially German too, I think the Germany section of the park could be my favorite because of these top two roller coasters . Everything about Alpengeist is incredible.
After a ride on DarKoaster maybe these will all be flipped around?
The only thing that really took me by surprise was how high Verbolten was ranked because that's my least favorite of the coasters here that I've ridden. I haven't been to this park since 2013, but I experienced a few rough spots in the building especially during the turns after the first launch.

I hate the seats on the Premier trains, getting in and out of them is such a pain. Combining that and the low capacity, I skip these most of the time. I am going to BGW for the first time in MANY years in April. I can't wait to get on Verbolten and Pantheon!

Busch Gardens is my home land it’s an awesome one but I kinda wish Apollos chariot was higher but are ratings where mostly the same
Very respectable list. Admittedly, I am 100% on the hype train for Apollo's Chariot and rank it in the mid tier for the model and I love it. For me it's second in the park after Pantheon but it's obviously all just opinion. But other than that, your ranking matches mine for the park.
BGW is one of my favorite parks and that is mostly due to the atmosphere and generally well balanced nature of the park. But when it comes to coasters it has the rare distinction of not having a single bad one. There are certainly parks with better coaster collections but even in those cases they still have at least one or two bad rides. But every coaster at BGW is at least decent if not great.

4 Apollo's Chariot (a b&m hyper only ranking 4th is insane)
5 Verbolten (not a big fan of theming but I still really love this coaster)

Haven't ridden DarKoaster yet. I think BGW is blessed with not having anything bad in their lineup. Verbolten and Alpengeist unfortunately fell short of my expectations whereas InvadR greatly exceeded. I'd even say Apollo's Chariot was better than I expected. It is the weakest B&M hyper out there but really not by much at all. I think it easily rivals Raging Bull, Nitro, Diamondback, and Intimidator as far as U.S. ones go.
I think Apollo's Chariot is on the weaker end for airtime. That said, what really sells the ride is the setting. It still has airtime which means you're getting that airtime off in the forest or over the water. And back row night rides on AC or genuinely elite if you ask me. It's a similar effect to what you see on the Beast at night where the experience is just turbocharged. I'd take a night ride on AC in the back over any ride on Raging Bull, Candymonium, Intimidator and (I know Marc would hate this but...) Goliath. That said, I still think night rides on Mako and Diamondback are better.

I think pantheon is a prime example of how much impact media can have on peoples opinions, for just no reason. I get that at Busch Gardens theming is typically a little more expected than at a SF/CF park, but I think for the most part early opinions on the ride have poisoned the well to the point where a lot of people who otherwise wouldn't care find the experience somehow underwhelming because it isn't a heavily themed ride. People who probably didn't have similar concerns with rides like Steel Vengeance. It's an unfortunate side effect of coaster youtubers imho, their opinions can really shape the opinions of others if they are influential enough, even if they don't mean to do it.

1. Pantheon - pretty much agree this coaster is very underrated. I do prefer Toutatis.
2. Alpengeist.
3. Apollos Chariot
4. Griffon- very close with the next coaster
5. Verbolten

10. Grovers
The top 5 are strong although I do agree with you that AC is overrated and is at the bottom of my B&M hyper list.
Pantheon isn't really underrated I think is perfectly rated just like raging bull or Wildcats revenge

Aside from Apollo’s being that low and Verbolten being that high, I actually agree with this list.
Apollo's Chariot is fun. Never quite get the negatively it gets on UA-cam. I don't care for Alpengeist. There are better inverts.
Apollo isn't the best hyper, but it "does that thing" for me in several seats every time and is 2nd highest priority. That's not a ranking though.

I agree with Marc that Pantheon is the most underrated coaster in North America. It absolutely delivers. Some people think the only good section is the swing launch and I totally disagree. I think it's amazing throughout.
That said, I think the theming issue is a fair criticism depending on how you look at it. Partly I think enthusiasts let their imaginations run wild with thoughts of a massive ancient temple for a loading station and extravagant landscaping and ancient ruins for on ride theming. That's on us. But I do think BGW often does a good job with both theming and coaster settings. We'd already seen them build Verbolten, the plaza for Invadr, the plaza and queue for Loch Ness Monster, the setting for Loch Ness Monster, Apollo's Chariot, Alpengeist, Invadr and Griffon. It just seems like a blank field with essentially no theming was beneath their standards. It would get less crap at a Six Flags park. But in a park as well themed and scenic as BGW they did cut corners.
While I do love Apollo's Chariot... It just doesn't stand up to some of the more modern B&M hypers. Don't hate on me for this, but I completely agree with him on the spot for Apollo's Chariot. 😑
