  • How long has it been since you have eaten alfalfa sprouts? When was the last time you found some in a store? One day, out of the blue, I just had to have some alfalfa sprouts. So, I went to the store. 4 stores later I finally found a container for $4 and looked awful! So, I commenced Googling, then Amazoning. I have been making these for roughly a month and it's so easy! Any links I provide are non-affiliate links. You will need:
Quart-sized wide-mouthed mason jars Screened lids (these are the ones I use in the video a.co/d/ePaWvXV )
And sprouting seeds (these are what I bought a.co/d/g83ZwqP )
And you will need a place for them to drain (I use my dish drainer).
In 4 to 6 days, you will have alfalfa sprouts that taste wonderful! They are low in carbohydrates (.7 grams per 1 cup) and without straining out the seed hulls (which I show you how to do) only have .6 grams of fiber. Alfalfa sprouts are perfect for adding a little fresh greens to your diet while remaining very low carb/keto (AND you can grow them all year long)!

When you don't SEE water on them. You don't want them dripping wet but you don't want them to look like they are about to shrivel.
