The idea is not to promote / sell a brand or specific shoe. The idea is to tell viewers what "features" you need to look for while considering a shoe for treks. The basic requirements like high ankle, water resistant, vibram sole etc and when going for an expedition how to choose a technical shoe. @@Wanderers_India oh but I have read in some blogs that high ankle shoes can injure your feet while coming back from uphill to downhill so is it better to go for without high ankle?
@@supercars4574 That is incorrect information. U should always buy high ankle, at-least 0.5 size bigger than ur actual shoe size, water resistant shoes. These are 3 minimum requirements for trekking shoes. PS. look for mountaineer shoes on google and 99% of the shoes will be high ankle.
Great video. Can we use snow shoes in non snow treks? . Which is better long lasting high quality shoes between Quechua SH520 x warm and Quechua NH150. Both in 2500 price. Please suggest.
Sure you can use them but it would be extremely hot due to the fleece line that the snow shoes have inside them. Ideally, if you are buy one pair only then buy the one that is for summer / spring and is water proof. You can always wear a warm socks inside them and keep your self warm in snow \ cold conditions.
Any thought on trail runners vs trekking boots? Trail runners are sturdy, light and gives flexibility of using ankle to full potential while trekking. Thanks!
Hi Rishabh ... this is a classic debate going on for sometime. To keep it short - Hiking boots score much higher in terms of Durability, Foot and ankle protection and can be used in multiple terrains (Slough off mud, snow and water). but certainly they are heavy and they need a break-in period. On the downside, they are bulky and heavy. They last for longer time periods for sure.

There is nothing called anti slipping shoe ... what you get is a good sole choose friction level is higher. They are called Viaram sole. Vibram soles are the first shoe sole ever created with a rubber lug sole. It takes its name from the Italian word for “tank tread” as both work on a similar mechanism where, through its firm indentations, the grip is created. You can find them at a good price in Decathlon stores.
