@@eddarby469, That's another thing, nobody was chosen for diversity, they were chosen for ability, chemistry and maybe looks were involved depending on descriptions, but other than Paul Hogan, I assume every other part had a tryout of some sort. I was and I am still working as a graphic designer and car wrapper. Me and my boys did the layout and realization of that crocodile shaped Audi R8 that won the American LeMans series in 1999. Final race took place in Adelaide, Audi motorsports wanted something extraordinary so we came up with the Paul Hogan inspired idea of the Crocodile Dundee R8 and they loved it all. This just as a little side story to this wonderful movie that will still be watched decades from now.

this brings back memories when I first saw this movie from a VHS rental, and yes, right at about this part, and you know exactly which particular part, the video and sound started to just warp a bit (analog, from quick excessive rewinds) up until Dundee jumped in and saved her. I was 15 then and remember feeling so robbed of that moment, and including the rental fee, and now I get to watch this particular part of the movie again ( on 1080p) for free ........good times. @@mathematics5573 Yeah crocs fail all the time actually. But it seems like it’s usually because the wildebeest, antelope or whatever pulls backwards quick enough before the croc actually grabs onto them. They do still get away sometimes though if the croc doesn’t have a great grip on them. Actually what most likely would have really happened if this scene was real was that the strap on her canteen would have snapped before she got pulled in. Crocs are so powerful…there’s no way that strap could have not not snapped.
