The challenger 2's armour and ammunition ordeal is my top concern following naval and air but thank you sinserly Koala for shinning light on this nonsense unbalanced game. " but you get helicopters" doesn't cut it for the British.

@@marcinfmpl3801 It doesn't have to be for every single plane, for balancing issues. Could have it as a feature for some planes. the F4 phantom bomb/rocket/missile loadout would be great for this. But not for every plane.
Also, would probably be a good idea to not have it for any tier 1 plane, to keep it simple for new players.

Also 'balancing' vehicles with repair costs
This type of balancing allows the Snail to put any vehicle anywhere. For instance why not put an Abrams as a Tier 1 BR 1.7.? Then to balance it give it a 2.5 Million SL repair cost. People would still play it! People would also complain about it too!

Playing War Thunder is like visiting a friend who has a really nice house but never cleans up. It's frustrating as hell because you can see the potential, but instead of taking a little time to clean up, they just keep adding more shit to it.
They also order the cheapest pizza for both of you even though he has a amazingly large and good kitchen that he never uses. Oh and he eats more of the pizza than you, and talks while you eat, and sometimes curses at you when drunk, and may even hit you when drunk. Overall he aint a friend more of a person that you know and have to stick with.

@@ItsATrap614 I see this argument a lot. "Don't play it then" or "go play something else". The problem is that there's nothing quite like WT.
At its foundation it's a great game, and when things align, it's a great experience, but it's frustrating because you can see how much potential there is, and yet gaijin seem insistent on holding it back. They're arrogant, won't listen to the community and don't have the foresight to see that slowing down and improving some of the core mechanics will get them more money in the long run than these quick cash grabs they're insistent on.
@@MrEsphoenix Don't forget the ban happy mods who have honestly been about as instrumental in the player bleed as the sub par devs who have gone as far as to label bug reports as "Conspiracy theories" (From Stona himself on the subject of historically inaccurate sabot round penetration before he was shown 3 other bug reports as far back as 2015 and quickly left the conversation). The devs pretend everything the players said is tantamount to heresy, and the blind idiots who polish their shafts don't help the situation.
If there was "something else" Gaijin would be too busy actually trying to make their game more appealing in the face of competition. Now it's just them cash grabbing

More importantly, they won't change it *because China* but then again they should change it because even featuring the Nationalist/Taiwanese vehicles with the insignia would have it banned or censored in China.
If they put in Taiwan, China would be really really pissed off and will wage a cyberwar with Russia if they don't remove it. China does not recognize Taiwan as a nation.
Someone should include Taiwan in their game just to throw a lulz at China though.

Stopped playing in May and it looks like I got out just in time.
I'm actually enjoying it quite a bit but there are plenty of really annoying things that wouldnt be much work to fix but would make the game way better. Right now my main annoyances:
- Mig19 has a OP flightmodel, it's a tiny amount slower then the f4 effectively. It turns much better, it has better energy retention, it accelerates faster and it hits you 1 time and you are dead
- f4 is capable of mach 2, but will never reach anything above 1.4 anyway because of the maps. We need different maps for low and high tier please. (Played British channel last night with f4, that was fun. But you'll die of old age if you play that on low tier)
- sound bug, there is this bug with he sound every so often that breaks the game untill you restart it. In the meantime your ears will be brought to bleeding.
- night vision can be used outside of gunsight by quickly going in and out of gunsight (it will show 3rd person view in thermal vision for half a second or so)
- why can I not equip aim9E with bombs on f4 but I can equip aim9B with bombs? This makes no sense.
- f4 cant take off from the longest runways in the game while carrying full bomb load
- f4 needs about 420 kmh to take off, gear will rip off the plane at about 450 kmh
Well that was thoroughly entertaining so something fun came out of 1.91!

dont’t forget the sins for making the game drop frames randomly. I have gtx 1080 and could max out the game at 1080p just fine. one update later random spikes down to 0fps with reduced settings is good enough for you. also love this video
On the MiG-21 radar: not sure how accurately they've modeled it, but its radar IRL was designed to detect targets above the aircraft, it can only see a couple degrees below the horizon. And because it's gyroscopically stabilized to the horizon, pointing your nose down won't help much. That may explain why you weren't able to see any of those aircraft below you.

Just so you know, Koala, the lowest thermal is for the AMX-30B which I have used to kill other 8.3 tanks hiding in bushes 3.2km away in some maps because they literally couldn't see me like I could see them
I skipped that tank entirely so would’ve never known this.

@@Bullet4MyEnemy They are magnificent at holding corners or sniping, specially now that you can go on a hill, hide in some bushes, turn off the engine and just blow anything in your gunsights up before they even know you exist
The Bradley has thermal as does the AMX-10RC for the French both at 8.0. Japan has the Type 89 at 8.3 as well.

For the thermal imaging thing, the ZTZ is NOT the only TT vehicle below 9.0 to get it. Afaik, the Leo A1A1 gets it (as does the L44), the Warrior does get it (speaking from experience), and the Centauro is getting it now instead of normal night vision.

Gaijin will never fix the game. Their open contempt for the player base is so rediculous it blows me away that the players still insist on gushing over and buying every premium or new top tier vehicle that's dangled in front of them. At this point the player base deserves to suffer for not having the will power to simply cease handing over any money for 3 to 6 months until the game is fixed. Money talks bullshit makes blog posts and UA-cam videos.

I hadn’t had any night time maps or the new map up until the end of last week, now I’m getting them about every 4-8 games.
The EuroTiger is damn near impossible to hit with the glynx’s stinger missile, especially if they dump flares. Although they’re perfectly capable of shooting down a violently manoeuvring glynx spunking flares out like its going out of fashion
That's because Mistrals ignore flares. Stingers are also SUPPOSED to, however flares are currently being worked on (in one minor patch they'll be completely useless against ALL missiles, and the next, even Mistrals are incorrectly affected by them...)
The Chinese tree is basically “hey, want to play unique premium vehicles, but you’re poor/didn’t have time to grind the shitty event for them/fuck gaijin? Well now you can!”
Anyway, that’s the only think I like about the Chinese tree; I can play a bunch of “premiums” I don’t have, like the M8 Greyhound or the Type 65
It is rather interesting that the M1 and IP M1 can’t have the M833, that entered mass production in 1983, yet the T-80b T-80u and T64B can get the BM-42 which wasn’t in mass production until mid 1989. The same time the M829A1 and M900 were already in mass production. Makes loads of sense.....
Napalm would be useful since it’s literally cooking the tank crew from the inside and damage engine and cook off ammunition from the outside depending on how thick the armor is.
Another thing is that the Chinese T-54s(Type 59 and 69) have stabilizers and the 69 has a dart, yet they're the same BR as the non-stabilized Russian T-54s.
Forgot about the nerf/buff to apcr. Apcr below an 85mm got nerfed, US 76mm can now only pen 189mm.

The issue is only around 20 something nations recognize taiwan as an actual nation and not part of china, not including the USA nor Russia either. However, I don't think gaijin should have their flag in the china tech tree either since Taiwan was seperate post ww2.

Yes, but IRL they were proximity bursting rockets designed for air to air use. Our current rockets are ones the Scorpion COULD be fitted with IRL, but primarily it used proximity bursting rockets to kill large bombers

97: no exhaust smoke at all from jet engines in dry thrust, yet they smoke like chimneys in afterburner. This is the literal opposite of how afterburning jet engines work.

The C1 have a really low armor in war thunder and the Challenger the opposite, in IRL they have both a great armor, the challenger it's always better, but because it's british it doesn't mean in war thunder must be the N.1 in everything, as the C1 in war thunder have a very good cannon, and the challenger have a great armor.
Challenger doesn't have good armor - it's only effective in certain places, and incorrectly modeled so that there is no composite behind the gun mantlet and it is incorrect on the lower front plate. Because of that, its armor may be quite strong, but it has WAY too many weak spots which are all extremely easy to hit and penetrate. If Gaijin models the gun mantlet composite armor and gives it the TES armor addon kit, then it won't need the mega powerful round quite so much... It still should have it though, because L27A1 CHARM3 is still only capable of penetrating around 540mm armor, so still almost 100mm LESS than the Ariete, meaning the Ariete would still have the most powerful round in the game by far

To be honest the one thing that pissed me off more about this update more than anything is else is that the cannon is standard and cannot be removed. I literally don’t want it, I just want a gunless Phantom, but no I can’t have that either.
This video works very well as a #FixTheGame summary. However, you can set distances for explosions of rockets, but that still isn't the same as radar proximity fuzes, which existed for THE VERY SAME ROCKETS WE HAVE IN GAME (Zuni, Hydra-70, and FFAR).
Also Gaijin still hasn't updated one of the world flag decals to the flag that was adopted in 2017

Technically the constant spinning on the gunpod is correct. It was actually propeller driven... Well "ram-air turbine" driven. A small propeller would pop out of the side of the gunpod driving the rotation of the gun. This meant fire-rate was dependent on air speed, but I doubt gaijin will model that. It however doesn't excuse the gun continuing to spin after respawn or while stationary.
Even when the aircraft dies and respawns a new F-4?

How did you forget one of the most annoying things going on in the game is the shots that were simply sent to siberia by Stalin's ghost, and another is the Premiun Mi-24D are complety useless now
It's been building for so long now, that if gaijin put just the fixes for the game in the next update, it would be at least half the size of the original game download.
8:18 also let’s talk about the fact that the ceiling of altitude in this game is still topped out at around 45,000ft. Since you can’t reliably go higher than that(believe me I’ve tried, that’s as high as I can go without an Me-163).

marc lishman And what’s funny about altitudes in this game is how you can actually go past your normal ceiling. I managed to reach 41,000ft tops in my B-29 and I had to stay at top speed to stay up there. That was on Norway as the last player, I did not want to lose 50k lions but sadly I got shot down regardless. And I could not leave that altitude, if I tried diving even with the engines off, my wings would rip.
The Abrams still has MASSIVE negative gun depression zones on the sides when traversing the turret rearwards that literally do not exist on the real tank, and that have gotten me killed several times. +1
Never had repair costs in arcade until this last update. Now playing a quick arcade game is basically pointless since repair costs are so high. You essentially need a booster or premium for it to be worth your time.
Oh and the su152s ap shells are bugged and don't pen even the side of a Tiger H1 from 50m away at 80 degrees
Don't forget about Challenger mk 3 L26, Britain still fights France and WEST GERMANY despite China's addition, for some reason the British still haven't received a supersonic and of course why on earth is the M4A4 not in the British tree?
Sin 97, Fw190C's underbelly Turbocharger hasn't been modelled in the game, neither a proper cockpit, so it cannot open it's cockpit on the Runway. also the engine is incorrect, according to the web sources, it should have a 2000hp engine, which was coupled with the 4 blade propeller, but instead they took the 1750hp one, that was coupled with the 3 blade propeller earlier on the prototype...
On the AH-1Z being better than the Tiger.
I play the 1Z, it's only advantage over the tiger is ATGM Capacity.
The stingers and minstrals both are the missles that cause the getting killed before the warning shows up glitch because they are too fast aim9Ls don't do this, also both missles lock on at a longer distance than aim9Ls, on top of this tigers all carry 4 missles to the vipers 2. Vipers missles don't ignore ICRM despite being able to irl, whereas stingers and minstrals dont.
The tiger is 10× more manuverable with no doubts.
Tigers have a composite body making them way harder to kill with guns, whereas the Viper can die from a single 7.62 hitting one of the 2 engines causing it to loose it's thrust and fall slowly to ground.
There's a reason the AH-1Z is rank 6 and tiger is rank 7. This is also why I see the Apache coming next patch to both USA and Britain adding a real rank 7 to both. This is also probably why Britain didn't get a rank 7 heli.
Also on napalm, this is brilliant, this could be used for area denial.
How about some of the twin-gun SPAA's still firing both weapons at the same time, instead firing them alternating like they're supposed to effectively cutting their rate of fire in half?
How about the Ostwind still being ultra-useless against tanks since it doesn't get a 37mm HVAP round which is already in the game but used by the Ju-87 G-2 and Hs-192 B-2?
The Ostwind II imo is the ultimate "not-an-upgrade-upgrade" in the German Tank tree, the Coelian at least had armor.
Hey Koala, I have an interesting question for you, not War Thunder related cause I know of the the mental exhaustion its putting on you, just an IRL tank question. I was talking to a guy who worked for the US Army Technology Assessment devision, and has extensivly studied the Abrams and Challenger 2, as well as studied/driven/fired a captured T-90, Leopard 2's, and even a block of Leclerc armor. He didnt give me numbers but said that the Challenger 2's turret was immune to M829a2 from any range. Something that contradicts your estimates. He didnt say whether M829a3 could proably because its still in service and he was on the Board that approved the A3 for service. Anyway I just thought I'd see what your thoughts on this are. And if you want to add him to your list of sources I can ask.
also I heard the Ariete PSO was supposed to have an engine upgrade to 1500 HP but its still carrying the normal Ariete's engine. Is this a bug in the xray or is it a bug in the model itself?
Please do this for each patch going forward.

The IAR 316B was a license-built Alouette III used by the Romanian Air Force. Has the French flag on it's stat card. DING!
The MiG-21F-13 was only designed for the R-3S missiles and the MiG-19PT never had the R-13Ms
You forget that youre forced to do that one german tank destroyer line if want to get into rank 6.
9:20 and those Auto-fuze rockets make 6.7-7.7 impossible to play.

Last time i played the game was back in 2014, this whole thing comes as a shock to me. Didn't gainin outright refuse to go modern or add guided missiles to the game? I specifically remember this, what happened?
This makes me sad my computer died a few months back and to see this game which was struggling as it was just kill itself like this

Okay so I thought about it again and I don't think they used one of Lamborghini's tractor to farm anymore, correct?, I think they just use a regular, higher emission, more disruptive tractor that despite of those problems still got the job done.
(Yeah you may need to decipher that one as well, there's a bigger message if you connect these two).

Even more so for the Bo-105 since it doesnt have NVG for the ATGM Gunner.
