Unfortunately, you cannot partially reload if you have enough ammo in your inventory.

When you were talking about the Varmint Rifle I'm surprised you didn't mention the ratslayer because it has one of the highest crit multiplier in New Vegas which makes it somewhat still usable gun in the later game if you're trying to sneak and I was wondering why you didn't mention the difference between Fallout 3 and Fallout New Vegas having different ammo type for the hunting rifle there were many other guns you didn't talk about but that's beside the point

@@theluftwaffle1 they are clearly right handed, not just because they are shot right handed, but also because they eject to the right. the charging handle being on the left is not necessarily an issue, there are historical examples of real guns made long before lefties where a thing people considered, that have charging handles on the left and i know a lot of right handed people who tend to operate the charging handle with their left hands when given an ambidextrous charging handles (myself included), so it could really just be a change in preference. also having the controls on the left side of the gun makes it so the user can see where everything is at a glance, which reduces the time you need to train new recruits when there's a war going on.
Anti material also means it can take out an enemy "through" armor. Say your target is catching a lift in a an armored vehicle, an anti material rifle can make that armor more or less irrelevant.
In regard to the lever action rifle...The 45-70 round is a beefy cartridge and it's quite long, making the full length magazine tube only hold 5-6 rounds IRL. The sawn-off version would only hold 2-3 rounds at most. But it's fallout so it just works....Right Todd?

lincolns repeater is oddly, not based on the henry rifle, but a winchester model 1866. a gun that wouldnt have existed until after lincolns death. i wish it was based off of the henry 1860 tho.

The rifleman perks in 76 really need a buff to even be relevant again due to the enemies getting a buff and dmg getting a nerf. I cant even use my TSE dragon due to the fact that my full rifleman w tank killer and covert operative cant even KO a supermutant in a suprise atk anymore and my IE hunting rifle has the same issue. And people wonder why junkie/beserkers/bloodied/ECT builds are so popular or flat out OP.

Bethesda seems to believe in a superposition of handgun and rifle cartridges. For example, the Fallout 3 hunting rifle does more than four times the damage of the .32 pistol, which is hard to justify if they fire the same cartridge. Perhaps the .32 cartridges becomes .32 Remington in the rifle and .32 Smith & Wesson Long in the pistols. To be fair, Obsidian used the same 12.7mm cartridge for both the Survivalist's rifle and the 12.7mm pistol. Though it doesn't seem the cartridges should fit in the pistol, the damage of the pistol isn't massively lower than the rifle.

I have even shot it (youtube before you shit a brick where i live it is legal if you are 12 or older as long as an adult is with you), it is a bit on the heavy side but also that does help with recoil, also i will admit it wasn't at a range it was in the middle of nowhere (we were on a family member's land).
Im gonna disagree with the red tyder analysis right off the bat, i have used that BB gun in FO2 to DEVASTATING effect on everything from junkies to deathckaws to power armored enclave hunters. You have to use it right, have a perk set that compliments ranged builds with high luck but that thing can kill Horrigan if needed. How?? Ez go for the eyes! Chamce of instant kill low, blinding them is a good chance, armor be it natural or powered is useless against 2 in the eyes. Youll need sniper, a high luck and be dropping points into small guns like a mad lad but that weapon can pick off anyone you need it too.

I've never not once found a hunting rifle in fallout 4 chambered in .32 it's always been .308 for me.
It starts dropping around lvl 47 and by that time you have better weapons and most likely have stopped paying much mind to it

In Fallout 4 ANYTHING you add a scope to gets the sniper descriptor. I'm not saying that's a good rule but there is a rule.

I actually have a caplock shotgun, and no it ain't a modern one, its from the 1930s, surprisingly they still make shot, wads, powder, and caps for it.
I have even shot it (youtube before you shit a brick where i live it is legal if you are 12 or older as long as an adult is with you), it is a bit on the heavy side but also that does help with recoil, also i will admit it wasn't at a range it was in the middle of nowhere (we were on a family member's land).

Im gonna disagree with the red tyder analysis right off the bat, i have used that BB gun in FO2 to DEVASTATING effect on everything from junkies to deathckaws to power armored enclave hunters. You have to use it right, have a perk set that compliments ranged builds with high luck but that thing can kill Horrigan if needed. How??
Ez go for the eyes! Chamce of instant kill low, blinding them is a good chance, armor be it natural or powered is useless against 2 in the eyes. Youll need sniper, a high luck and be dropping points into small guns like a mad lad but that weapon can pick off anyone you need it too.
