    When the pandemic struck, Buffet was also selling. It was a terrific time to buy equities overall and a great entry point for those in my generation, who were in their 30s and 40s. Do you believe this would be a good time to sell some stocks as well? I'm wondering what the best ways are to rebalance my $2 million holdings.

      I agree. Exactly why I now work with one. A lot of folks downplay the role of advisors until being burnt by their emotions, no offense. I remember some years back, during the covid-outbreak, I needed a good boost to stay afloat, hence researched for advisors and thankfully came across one with grit. As of today, my cash reserve has yielded from $350k to nearly $1m

    Instead of letting the inflation work itself out, we hiked rates thousands of times higher than they were in the most massive pounding the Fed has ever given an economy. I'm holding a cash position right now, till I'm ready to take advantage of the market and invest around $300k in the crash.

      Despite having the correct strategy and resources, certain investors may outperform others. It's crucial for an investor to recognize that experience surpasses everything. Personally, I sought guidance from a market analyst, enabling me to increase my account balance to nearly a million. I withdrew my profits just before the correction and am now reinvesting.

When we see the price dive, we can't call someone from the company and say 'hey Bob, what's going on'? When the price dives the rest of us have to make a judgement and think, 'is there something wrong they're not telling us? If something was wrong do you think they will tell us'?

    If you want to learn more, read Ben Grahams "intelligent investor" to get a feel for where warren is coming from. Its all evaluating uncertainty of the future cash flows. A farm or a piece of a business(stock) usually gives a reliable cash flow through capital gains or a dividend. Ironically, berkshire has never given a dividend, the reason is because buffet believes he can get a higher return on that cash then rowing it back. His bearish view on crypto is due to the uncertainty, and the fact that it is not an income producing asset. The anchor of value is impossible to know. It is similar to gold, and actually has some better qualities than gold in this internet age, but there are many potential risks - such as if the US and other governments say bitcoin is now illegal(similar to what they did with gold in 1934) and the governments issue their own crypto.. in that scenario, bitcoin value goes to near nothing. Money launderers wont even use it as a store of value or exchange since the blockchain behind bitcoin can be deciphered.

    • @LifeSizeBox
      @LifeSizeBox 6 років тому +3

      Christian Sgrignoli - if governments make Bitcoin illegal then the price goes up, for example, heroin. Second, the whole point of Cryptocurrency is that it is DECENTRALIZED, meaning centralized governments cannot have their own. Third, there’s no deciphering - where do you hear this stuff from? I recommend learning more about the security, transparency and value of a decentralized ledger.
