I love your videos, You bring the humanity into the smoke and mirrors of the world of “performance perfection”. So many pianists don’t appear to be normal people because we only see them as this beautiful beast performing on a stage. But your videos make me feel as though anyone can perform if they practice enough.
No, I just like her videos very much, I think they are really inspiring, motivating and educational and that she deserves more views - she obviously didn‘t give me money for that comment, that would be a really inefficient way to boost your videos...
my pc remembers where it was - and zonk - there's Tiff looking at me - wow - stops me a whole minute from rushing to get a morning coffee! She's an early breath of fresh air!
Tiffany please dont be so harsh with your self, you all were great! We will never know if a path we follow was the right or wrong one, just the journey it self and the satisfaction you get of it is what matters, plz continue what you are doing and share with us!
Tiffany, you've mentioned that it was your first time meeting 2 of the string guys during the rehearsals. However, that proves a point that music really is a beautiful way of connecting with one another. I say this because the 4 of you truly performed like you've known each other for years.
You have controlled this piano excellently. It appears it is regulated well to respond with a very light touch. Also, the tone quality (voice) of this piano seems to be set very bright, which makes the touch response feel even lighter and more sensitive. BRAVO!!
Excellent job Tiffany! I too am very hard on myself and have high expectations of myself all the time, often expecting to make no mistakes( as both a clarinet player and pianist). However, I'm very proud of you for this concert; you played beautifully, and the level of chamber musicianship was amazing in the Schumann quartet. Well done!
Dear Tiffany, Jan, Arnaud and Matthew (not in any particular order!) I very much enjoyed this concert and look forward to hear you playing together many more times, live, but also on Dreamstage for us who cannot travel to places where you perform! 🙏 Thank you Tiffany for bringing out another behind the scenes vlog. We "Tiffans" will be here to support you, and whoever helps you. Enjoy your Mac (yes, they turn on automatically when you open them).
Another winning video. Thanks for the view behind the scene. When I was younger I used to think classical musicians were giants. Now I know they are ordinary people doing giant things. Now composers...I still think they are true giants.
A great video. Thanks very much to you and the three string players for these beautiful sounds, and particularly to you for your insights into the thinking behind the process of making it.
The 3rd and 4th movements of the Schumann quartet are soooo amazing!! Literally some of my dream chamber pieces... if I could ever get a quartet together....
Greatly enjoyed this especially your personal touch. I love the practicce footage. I in life only see the concert, so I enjoy seeing how it is put together. Mahalo and Aloha.
Greetings Tiffanny; hope this note finds you well. Follower for awhile now. Me, I'm a beginner adult ( wannabe) cellist. Your dedication to your craft is inspiring. Keep on keeping on. All the best.
Piano is like the heart of every orchestra. It's always the attraction, there's always one big beautiful shiny piano in the middle and the pianist is like the M.C. hahahah
I love Schumann!! I recently joined the Mac Club about a month and half ago after my Lenovo crapped out on me and I also have it in Space Grey! We’ve missed you!!🥰❤️
I have always loved how you share classical music with us, like I used to watch your performances for pieces that I was learning. I can’t wait for your next album, whenever it will come out!! Love you! 💕
Some people just shine because they are very talented. Regardless of situation. Give as much as you feel you want. Wants and Needs are a very thin blade.^^
Tiffany, I really must say thank you!! For some time now I'm in a pretty depressing atonal phase in the world of Berg and Webern. But thanks to your videos about (and with) Schumann I learned to love his chamber music but also his Piano music. So here a big THANK YOU! and btw: I really think, that you are a high class pianist and no less talented than e.g. Kissin, Sokolov or even Horowitz!!
I missed out on the premiere 😥 Macs are confusing when you are not used to them 😅. They are just different. I won't say better, I won't say worse. I can only say different. And thank you for both the concert and this GRWM. Wish I could go back in time and watch it again.
I encourage you my dear in your endeavors. As I get to know you through your Vlogs Tiffany I find a growing almost paternal interest and I guess at the “young” age of 71 that’s okay. I to am a confirmed coffee drinker black please unless it’s growing bitter. I do hope that one day you will do a concert in central Florida as I would love to see you perform and if the opportunity to meet you presented itself I would be ecstatic. Take care and be safe. God bless you in your endeavors and watch over you.
Your concert was a joyful, sparkling performance. I viewed it two times in each of the following days and liked it more each time. The performance should have been recorded for an album. As for your pending album I would buy both a CD (I like having the disc to play at home) and a streamed copy for travel.
It’s the first time watching your vlog from the very beginning to the end. As a Hongkonger who’s studying abroad and can no longer play instruments due to studies, I admire you from deep of my heart.
Some great clips 🙏 , also i remain a Schumann fan . After hearing the plucking of the violin in the vlog that's a long stretch for my taste buds , but none the less a great education and i can see why your getting some heavy interest from the business side of things . Good luck with it , can't waite for the next .
I've often thought about how all of the classical era music is so incredible. The fact that there were no recording technologies at that time, etc.. The manuscript was the imprint, no samples, no fancy automation, it was exceedingly special, unlike in our time of absolute saturation. Not one modern commercial song even compares to the writing of the classical era. Yes. Release a new recording of the greats. But, also look ahead with your original classical compositions. Not even one of the old masters would sit in silence. I honestly believe they would want that. You are in a special place. A fire passed on to artist such as you 🙂
And congrats on getting a Mac! I'm a Windows person but I've heard good things about Mac OS when it comes to artistic creation and video editing, and the M1 processor is a beast (coming from a PC enthusiast myself)
Great introduction to the piece. Really helped me appreciate it better as it was being played, especially the homage to Bach. The musical chemistry was there - hope you all get to play together again!
I really enjoyed your playing and the program for the concert. It was a nice way for me to be exposed to Schumann's chamber music (I was only familiar with his most known piano works)
Really interesting video as always, and for me I think you played really really well throughout! I'm also usually too hard on myself, or so I'm told by people around me haha. I find it's difficult to recognise for yourself but easy to see when other people are overly critical of themselves. Cut yourself some slack, you deserve it :)
13:15 Tiffany to Arnaud: I loved your speech, BTW! Arnaud's speech/history lesson was very good for those of us (me) who have a lot of holes in our knowledge of Classical music. One hole plugged, and about a million more to go. 😉 BTW, am I the only one who thinks this great quartet should be a permanent thing?

WE'RE ALWAYS THERE, AND YOU'RE GOING TO GET THAT ALBUM
🙏😳🙏😬🙏😳❤️🙏
This is a comment to push this video, so UA-cam algorithm likes it more, so it get‘s recommended to more people :)
for money?
No, I just like her videos very much, I think they are really inspiring, motivating and educational and that she deserves more views - she obviously didn‘t give me money for that comment, that would be a really inefficient way to boost your videos...

I like the full circle moment where the end is the beginning ⭕️
Stopping by to hear you today Tiff! You sound great!
Hope things go better for all classical musicians this year.

This is one of the best, if not THE best GRWM videos you have put out for us. Keep 'em coming.
Wonderful music and wonderfully played. AND you are justs as emotional, personal in an interesting way, that this is really worht watching/listening
I love Schumann too...
Some people just shine because they are very talented. Regardless of situation. Give as much as you feel you want. Wants and Needs are a very thin blade.^^
I love this quartet! Played it with a group a couple years ago, brings back memories!!!
Hello, Tiffany.
Good to have you back!
10 minutes to eat and get back to it. I know the feeling 😄
As always, the music was beautiful
Great that you’re out there....🙂💃🏻
A very engaging, fresh and unpredictable Vlog (as always !) I absolutely adored the edit when your camera got moved 🤣

You are fantastic! Your musical intentions are so rich and creative.
This was so inspiring how all of you just had so much chemistry together !!
Really love this performance. The backstage stuff.
Enjoyed the vlog, Tiffany!!! Excited for everything!!

OMG YES TIFFANY IS TEAM RAW EGG :D
Also I love Matt's hair

You are wonderful, as always

🥰 Will do!
Hey Tiffany!! Will you be performing in Chicago any time soon? Or ever? Haha thank you!! Glad you’re back!
Welcome back queen!😀
I'm with you
A lot of good work going on !
Very talented. Hard work alone isn't enough.
I would love for this to be on your CD! Sad to have missed the concert but sounds like it was fantastic

YAY!! Welcome to the macOS world. It may take a while to get it but you’ll be really happy. Someday.
I am sure that you really appreciate the opportunity you received playing with and learning from three seasoned string players.
Great channel and thank you
I told you I would absolutely buy your CD, however, nothing compares when I watch and study you on a video!
Hi Tiffany ❤️
Can’t wait for the new album!
Your camera narrative was hilarious.
Tiffany, good luck girl
Tiffany you're so adorable.
Loved this!!
String players never had to adjust to a different instrument when they perform, every piano is slightly different.
It's fun to be on my toes though! I enjoy meeting different kinds of personalities 😊
Oh my gosh trueeee
Yesssss
And congrats on getting a Mac! I'm a Windows person but I've heard good things about Mac OS when it comes to artistic creation and video editing, and the M1 processor is a beast (coming from a PC enthusiast myself)
missed u, ur vlogs and music :)
Missed you, too!! ❤️
Your performance in the Schumann concert absolutely sounded as though you had all four played together for years.
I agree 👍 The balance was awesome, and they are really "at home" with romantic repertoire.
@@andresgunther I kept being delighted with how beautifully Tiffany kept the balance.
@@reallynotpc balance-wise she is like the ingenious DJ of the classic era, who of course plays a super relevant instrumental part also. ^_^
You are my idol!❤️
Nice vlog Tiffany!
Great introduction to the piece. Really helped me appreciate it better as it was being played, especially the homage to Bach. The musical chemistry was there - hope you all get to play together again!

13:15 Tiffany to Arnaud: I loved your speech, BTW!
Arnaud's speech/history lesson was very good for those of us (me) who have a lot of holes in our knowledge of Classical music. One hole plugged, and about a million more to go. 😉
BTW, am I the only one who thinks this great quartet should be a permanent thing?
