She looks stunning. I'm with you on getting an overall effect rather than sanding down and all that hassle. The Beast looked great and so does the new love of your life.

I went to Norway for a couple weeks and come back to find new videos and a new van already painted up. I’m so happy for another van build to keep me from feeling sad that my holiday is over. 🤣❤️🚐

I watch a lot of van channels and have to say I have never seen anyone attempt this, to be fair it looks fantastic. Looking forward to future updates
I think a lot of people are either scared of doing it or scared of showing the results close up and regret it. personally £50 vs £X000 I really don't give a damn 😅 It's ideal for what I need though 👌

I hadn't thought about vans in terms of car modification, the max power generation coming to mind.
I just think there's so much personalisation to be done with these things. The sky's the limit really! Love it 👌
Nice, bang on tread 👌, looks like a wee forestry commission van now 😂, converted my mk2 expert tepee last year in the more conventional way with rock n roll bed ect, but stripped insulated ect ect all by myself on the driveway over the space of around a month at nights and couldn’t be happier with it, plenty room for me the mrs and the dog, woke up in it on the Isle of Arran this morning hopped on the first ferry and drove to work for the day, bloody great wee vans 👍.
That's awesome 👌 haha yea I'm not knocking the more "conventional" layouts, they just aren't for me. Could be picky, could be lazy. Probably a bit of both 😅

Think at least it was worth a Scotchbrite and a panel wipe beforehand for a better/durable finish 🤔 😉
I spent an entire day doing that on my other van and paint still peeled off anyway so bollocks to it 🙃
Sitting hear nodding away when you said you would be fuming if you spent £2000 on a paint job and scratched it to bits. Knowing what its going to be used for its a good tidy job. Looking forward to seeing the van on the road 👍

Absolutely 😁
Hand brushing or rolling, it is best to heat the paint a little. It thins the paint out then it contracts to a smoother finish. Especially when brushing.

Awesome 😎 I rollered my transit connect micro camper in olive green it's got brush marks roller marks and orange peel if you look up close but I love it I done the panel over the screen black as run out of paint bit I must say it sets the van off brilliant with the zombie stickers 😂

Quick question Ash, did you get Marie's starting problems sorted with her Iveco ? I had the same issues with mine, I changed the "Crankshaft position sensor" took ten minutes ! Van is perfect now ! Plus I changed the "Camshaft position sensor" no more non functioning instruments and it stops immediately on the key ! Total cost was 70 euro's 👍👍 x

It may not bother you but you could probably get the dents out (rear LHS) using boiling water & a plunger though would have been easier prior to painting. Anyway, good to see your videos mate

It's the same paint I used on my other van so purchased about 4 years ago haha. Think it was just from ebay. You didn't miss a vid 😊

Strange seeing you downsizing but I certainly see the logic in it, never forget alternative fuels too I been running a 2002 jtd engine which is commonrail on svo blends for about 40k and I've read people do the same with hdi engines without twin tanking could be worth looking into if ya get it cheaper from cash n carry main thing is having Bosch pump. Van looks good.
I think it will take some getting used to but the benefits for me at least far outweigh the extra space👌 haha maybe, I've heard a lot about running alternative fuels. Where I would source it here is another question though. 100 mile round trip to the nearest town 😅
Wrap the roller and place in the freezer, thaw out the next day and continue 👍
That would probably work great, if we had a freezer 😅 future upgrades...

It was advertised as "semi gloss" I believe. Whatever that means 😅

@@LostInEurope that's it exactly. I'm considering doing my van in the same style to hide the ripples down the panels 🤣 On a side note, incase you don't know. Keep all the door locks on it well lubricated, they seize up and spin the barrels if you don't. Its part of the security system on it. I found out the hard way with my old van.
To be fairnif you use the "fabric" roller instead of the sponge the result is fantastic. I wish I'd remembered haha, not done in for a few year so it went in the brain bin... ah cheers fornthe tip
