Mamamoo overwhelmed me with talent, charisma, and unfiltered comedy like that in 2018-2019, then Dreamcatcher took over during Scream era and ever since.
I remember feeling this overwhelmed as well when I was first getting into Dreamcatcher :D . To me its interesting how when DC is on music shows or showcases they emphasize more the performance aspect of the songs. It almost feels like you are watching a play, but during their concerts they get more playful and engage more with the audience. Also, you nailed it with Gahyeon! She is all about those facial expressions!

Turning into stone for me means being immortalized. It has been a main goal of poets, Olympic athletes, and whatnot. This album is very classical mythology-influenced. I think the first for Dreamcatcher. "새들아 나를 삼키렴 하늘에 오를래" "Birds! Swallow/Steal me! Ascend into the sky!" This just makes me think of the Venus, Nephthys line from the title track. Isis (whom Venus was assimilated with) and Nephthys are often depicted with wings or as birds, the kestrel (or rather hawk/vulture for Nephthys as the falcon is more associated with Ra?) or black kite. This was related to their role of transporting dead souls which they revived to Duat, the land of the dead, by carrying them into the sky. Venus too was associated with doves, sparrows, or the peacock. "Bang it on me, shatter" just makes me think about certain gulls who drop stones from the air on shellfish to shatter them. Venus was born in a shell, after all. Although here it really seems to mean reviving someone turned to stone, no? So Siyeon is Medusa at the end? That makes some sense to me. She's dressed like a Knight Templar, which I love. All this mention of Medusa just makes me look for Perseus though, and I thought that was what she was going for. If she turns to stone at the end that means the villain won, though. The title track is more about Narcissus who fell in love with his own reflection, thus all the selfies and craziness. How ironic to see all the people reacting for the first time to a song all about the danger of first impressions! "Rising" really makes me think of Daedalus and Icarus (who tried to fly to the sun but fell to their deaths), and I think it may be about vainglory, striving for something one cannot reach. That leaves "We Are Young". If the whole thing is a sort of four directions mandala that would be the opposite of Medusa's immortalization in stone, I don't know something Eleusinian, the shameless exploiting of youth? Love everything Siyeon, but the skull pants on "OOTD" coming in like that? Perfect . . .
