Never would expect an 11 year old boy to really be into the "hotel" look but his face was pure joy in the reveal. Kid's got great taste and I'm so happy it turned out for him

When I was a kid, while on a road trip, my mom had my dad pull over so she could pick some tall weeds growing on the side of the highway to use in her decor. She was such a great decorator. ❤

What a great video! When I was six ,my mom redid my room ,bought me big girl furniture etc...i am 71 and still have and use that furniture in my bedroom..

I think what I love the MOST is you let him pick his style, and listed to exactly what he wanted.
When we re did my 7 and 10 year olds room the little one wanted the same, he wanted it mature and we styled it with fun things!!!!!
This was about kindness as much as style & I loved it! ❤ So sweet to see Joe & Cas go the extra mile to get it *just* right with the window bench, gorgeous desk nook, custom art, hand-harvested pampas grass, & fun laundry & trash.😄Emily hauled furniture, the car detailer rewarded a crying cat rescuer with free cleaning😻, & Milo was so cute & appreciative of his *gorgeous* new room. Lovely!👏

I really liked the behind the scenes video. I also like that Joe and Emily are more visible lately in your videos. It takes a team effort. You are the star, and I love how open and real you are. And goofy. Love the goofiness! But its nice to see your supporting cast a bit more. I REALLY liked this makeover the best out of all the ones you've ever done. It was perhaps the most dramatic. And your sons smile when he saw it, you all did good.

The room looks great, I suggest that you flip the painting over the bed upside-down so the dark gray becomes near the ceiling, I think it'll look even better.

The end story part where the guy cleaned your seat made me cry!! What a sweet heart he has! I did, however laugh hysterically when watching your story the other day. I’m so sorry! It was so unreal. I remember wanting a more grown-up bedroom when I turned 10 because I was double digits now, so I was grown up. My family insisted I needed a kid bedroom (their intentions were good ) I would have been SO HAPPY with this! And you can see on his face how happy your son is too! Kudos on putting aside what you think he would want in a space and letting him have what he wants. It really did turn out gorgeous.

Seeing the completion of Milo's room is fantastic. I did watch the day in the life video, and so glad to hear the kitty is doing well AND that the smell is out of the seat. The room is beautiful and is very much a space he can grow into.

My son is 11 and he would adore this room. He’s very similar in his style. His room is much smaller but he has a simple bed with a plain blue-violet quilt. I can see that your son was super excited! 😆 great job!! Looks fabulous!

I was gonna say that too. Maybe on a local page if you don't do it here. I definitely would talk about how he was a life saver and how he got the smell out and how the experience was amazing and point others to his business. I love seeing people be kind. Maybe don't include the part about it being free but that he saved you.

My vet recommended a litter called Cat Attract when I had 3 cats with territorial issues. One a feral female that I rescued from under my deck. Like your experience she’s the most expensive free cat I’ve owned. Male cats resist litter boxes and shoot high. I recommend you get the largest high sided box you can find and the Cat Attract and set it up in your garage for practice My feral cat was confused at first and slept in the litter box and used her bedding to do her business. It helps to get in the box and move the litter around while he watches. The give him a round of applause and praise when he finally uses it.

The room looks beautiful! I just want to give a heads up about the plants you cut in the field. Be careful they're not full of bugs/eggs. I'm a wreath maker and have heard terrible things about people wanting the boho look and bringing bugs inside their house via fluffy plants. Craft stores will have artificial plants with a similar look, if you decide to switch it out.
His reaction was worth all the stress!!! Oh....and the kindness of the auto detailer made me tear up. What a blessing!!!!

I wanted to give you some ideas if you do actually want to try to make Mr. Bojangles a house cat.. they're really territorial about their scent. So if you get a litter that is completely odourless and doesn't look like it'd hurt their paws, you can scoop up one of his poops he leaves outside, and roll it around in the litter, it'll leave his scent and might make him more interested in using it. Also make sure it isn't placed near a door where Penny might be sniffing around, or a place that might make him feel like he's trapped (if there's a cover, remove it), but also isn't near his food/water. Jackson Galaxy has great videos on this if you're interested.
That said, I totally get if you'd prefer to keep him as an outdoor kitty, and have some of my own on my farm so I'm not judging 😉
I’ve been behind so I’m binging your videos from the past month and started with a day in the life which I left a comment there because I was😂😂😂 the whole way through. Then I got myself together and moved on to this one. Milo’s room looks amazing. He has great taste. I’m 55 and his room is way more stylish than mine! So all was going well… and then… you added the out takes from you in the van from the last video and I’m in hysterics again. 😂😂😂😂 Maybe I’ll make it through the next one without my hubby side eyeing me for laughing myself to tears while watching UA-cam videos. I think he’s trying to figure out what is so funny about “decorating/organizing” and that is making it even funnier. 😂

Great peoject! We have repainted our (now 20 year old) son's room twice and rearranged the layout several more times throughout our 19 years in this home. Yet against my original personal feelings before having a child, still have never redone or room other than trying a few different room arrangements. He really appreciates it each time we help his room grow with himself and as he interests and needs change. In regards to Mr. BOjangles, did you try offering him several litter boxes/trays with various sizes and type of litters? Jackson Galaxy did some highly educational and eye-opening episodes on this topic. Many cats' paws are extremely sensitive to the different textures etc. Hugs!

I was really surprised too. I thought he would want a soccer themed room for sure! I even tried to convince him to have a gaming room with coloured led lights and a giant controller headboard, but he didn't want that. He wanted a simple, neutral room that looked like a hotel! Weird, but he loves it!

Great makeover! Milo was so happy! As for the litter box, it might feel too small to the cat, especially if it has a lid. You could try a clear storage box that's about as wide as the cat is long and at least 1.5 times his length. The extra space to manoeuvre and the ability to get out easily might do the trick. I'd probably get one with high sides since he's a male cat and just cut a hole in one of the short ends of the box. I had one that was similar to the Sterilite Clear Ultra Latch Storage Box, 110 L, and my cats loved it.
