      Your e-ticket should tell you the stand number of where to find the bus & also the service number of the route. The buses will also have cards in the front window showing the route they’re taking. If you’re worried about it, best to arrive as early as possible 🙂🚎

    And you would think taking the train would cut the travel time but appreciate it takes the same time as the bus.

      Yeh you would, but it looks pretty much the same amount of time between the cities by bus 🚍 & by train 🚂

    I don't understand why are people going from one terrible dangerous bus station in Vienna to other terrible dangerous bus station in Prague when you can use 1st class train with restaurant carriage and travel like a human. 😀

    • @n1ckburt0n

      I think it just depends on timings/when you book etc. & also what you’re used to. In the UK at the moment, there’s a huge lack of trust in the trains…constantly cancelled, on strike and the prices are ridiculous a lot of the time.
      I prefer trains to buses, but ultimately…you just sit in a seat & get from one place to the other so 😝

    • @Pidalin
      @Pidalin 11 місяців тому

      @@n1ckburt0n Yeah, that makes sense, trains here in Czechia are often delayed, but only very rarely canceled, it never happened to me that train didn't arrive at all (I mean better trains, not some village trains), yes, it can be delayed, but completely canceled?
      Only in very extreme situations like when there is and accident and they always send bus for people, but this happens only on low class commuting trains, high class trains are never replaced by buses because high class train has priority and it can goes even when most of tracks are closed. And also, when I go from a city where that train starts, I don't really care if that ride takes 7 or 9 hours when I already sit in that train, but try to spend another few hours in a bus. 🙂
      In 2022 I traveled 15 hours to Croatia by bus and next year I picked train again as I am used to, even when it takes longer time, even the worst train is still better than bus. 15 hours of fighting for one little toilet, no sleep, no food....while in sleeping train you don't care that you stay somewhere 1 hour for no reason because you can go to bed and sleep. 😀

      Train is probably more enjoyable yes 🚂 🙂 bus is usually cheaper & easier to book in advance from abroad 🤓

    • @petrsebik
      @petrsebik Рік тому +2

      If you book in advance with flixbus you can get as low as 19€, while the train booked on web of czech national railways is 24€. The bus takes 4 hours and 25 min, and the train is there 20 minutes faster. But the biggest advantage is the restaurant car included in all of the international trains from Prague, where you can have a full size meal under 8€. So next time I would definitely recommend train :-)

      I recently went from Wrocław to Warsaw with Flixbus. Nice bus station in Wrocław, 4 hour trip. Gdansk is much further away though, it looks as though on Flixbus you have to go from Wrocław to Warsaw/Lodz and then transfer to a different bus to Gdansk…looks very long tbh

      All these buses have a toilet, if it's locked or not, that's a mystery. 😀 Just use train, I don't know why people from some countries use only buses, they are probably used to, but we are a train nation.

      @Pidalin lol 😆 I’ve seen good & bad toilets on both buses and trains. Flixbus tends to be ok, but also depends how “accurate” the previous users have been with their aim 🤣 but that’s also the same on trains!

      I used them to get from Maribor, Slovenia to Zagreb, Croatia and it was really straight forward, not too long a journey. At Zagreb we left our bags at the left luggage for a couple of hours and caught the tram into central Zagreb to wander around for 90 mins before heading back to the bus station for the bus to Zagreb airport.

    • @n1ckburt0n
      @n1ckburt0n  10 місяців тому +1

      I don’t remember seeing any ticket offices there, maybe there’s one at Florenc bus station…I’m not sure 🤔. With Flixbus, it’s usually easier to just book on your phone & on my recent trips I’ve seen drivers telling people who wanted to book right away to get WiFi and do it on their phone. Generally, you’d get cheaper prices by booking in advance, particularly if you’re travelling on a busy route/day/month. 😎
