This is old but you do not start with MAX animus. All animus starts in the reserve location at the start of an encounter. You then REGEN at the start of the refresh phase. Thus, you will start an encounter with only your REGEN amount. I hope people didn't give themselves max animus at the start of encounters for an entire campaign 😮😅😂
A heartfelt thank you, Sir, for making this video. It saved the game for me, as I was about to cull it after two sound defeats in the very first scenario. It is only when I saw your video that I caught two huge mistakes I had made. First, I was taking only one turn per character per round, and second, I was allowing the bosses to crit, which led to 15-18 damage attacks utterly ripping my tank to shreds (especially devastating when this happened on round 1 with Acidic Maw...). In any case, I'm very grateful to you!
I am so glad I was able to help!!! This game is sweet!!! I hope you enjoy your romp though the deep woods. Yes the boss citing can be brutal!!! Thank you for the great comment and I am glad I was able to make this more enjoyable. Also remember that I my have made the mistake in the video is that minions only activate during the bosses turn and not when you break a die. Thank you for watching!!
Just had to say, loving your playthrough. So refreshing to have a speedy but well explained playthrough, with good tactics - and showing off a character (the blade) that I have not seen any other UA-camrs touch. So that is nice and refreshing. Please keep this up and play through as much of the campaign as you can. Really enjoying this.

So much behind the scenes effort in this to manage camera angles during shoot and then combine them in the final edit. Great job! Also, no reroll needed at 17:07, you get +2 damage from the Boar Charge effect (by my reading anyway)

This game looks so much and different! Love your play throughs. Excited to see you and Colin play the next scenario. I’ll ‘meet you at the table’ for the next one!
I read the Tail Swipe as the ability comes FROM the rear but it doesnt say anything about direction. I took it as the swipe is forward arcing in my mind, it's extremely badly worded. But since she turns ass towards target, it implies the cone is directed from the back towards the target.
Sorry It took so long to respond to this comment. I must have missed it when you sent it originally sorry about that. As for what you were talking about with the card. it may not be the best worded, but I feel that one part says to turn directly away from the target and then talks about how the cone attack starts from the back hex. I could be wrong. I totally get how that could be misunderstood. Thanks for the great comment. sorry it took so long to get back to you. Thanks for watching
I finished the 1st story and encounter. Awesome game !! Love watching your play thru , pal ! I was able to get the boss painted . Mine turned out awesome !!
Great to hear from you Noahshu. I agree if the rest of the game is as good as the first mission this is going to be awesome!!! Glad you were able to get that boss looking sweet!! 😃😃👍
Loved the play through! Rules wise, the toxic cloud from 'Acid Spit' should be one red card weaker as you had broken the front location previously, and 'Acid Spit' originates from the front location (as depicted on the card). Found this ruling from Shadowborne on BGG.
Thank you I’m glad you enjoyed the playthrough. Oh thank you for the acid spit ruling. I’ll make sure to put a note in the video. That makes perfect sense since it’s being shot out it the monster mouth!!! Thank you for the help and thanks for watching 😃😃👍
Great video! I just have one question: when you move the boss at 53:45, should Blade have moved out of the way (towards the top side of the board)? I've had this game since its release and am only starting the campaign now after finishing the painting. I'm still a bit confused. If a large boss moves, does it cause characters to be knocked back into obstacles, or is there a specific rule for that?
Thank you glad you enjoyed it. After watching the part you talked about yes I loved the monster incorrectly and it should have ended with part of it on the blade and he should have moved out of the way but still in the cloud. Hope that helps. Enemy movement and activation is really well done in this game but can be a little tricky as well. Thanks for the great question and thanks for watching
Thanks for a great playthrough of an awesome game. Can't wait for the next one! This is easily my favourite game of 2022 so far and I don't see anything coming that could change that. I noticed that you gave all your oathsworn only enough animus for their regen value, but they should have their maximum value in their reserve, so if e.g. they have max 8 and regen 6, they could save up to 2 for the next round so they'd have 8 available. Dunno if that was by accident or intended, but sometimes you'd be able to do some major damage with more animus available.
Your welcome glad you enjoyed the playthrough. I agree this will easily be my favorite game of 2022 I can see this taking one of the top spots of all time. Thanks for catching the max animus I totally miss understood that. I’ll make sure to put a note in the video and discuss it in the next video. Thanks for the great comment all the help, and thanks Spllr for watching 😃😃👍
And you should put the Max amount (8 or 9) in the reserve slot on the left at the start of the story phase and start the encounter with the refresh phase.
@@Florian_Schaefer thanks for the help I’ll make sure to explain this in the next video. And make a comment in the video! Thanks for the help and thanks for watching 😃😃👍
Animus: Right at the start where you're going over the player boards, you didn't set up several of your Oathsworn with the correct amount of animus. For example, at 8:23 where you see a closeup of the Priest's board, you can see underneath the Regen value, it lists "8 max animus". This means the priest should start with 8 total animus gems in the spent side (left) and at the start of each refresh phase, he regens a max of 6 animus. In order to get all 8 animus available for a really big turn, he would have to leave 2 animus unspent at the end of a turn. The only Oathsworn to have the correct amount in this video was the Ranger, as she has both 7 max and 7 regen. The rest of the Oathsworn do not start the encounter with all of their animus available to them.
You are correct Thizizit. I found that out later. I didn’t understand the “max”. I thought that was the max they can ever have. It was corrected in the next video and we talked about it as well. Thanks for the great comment and thanks for the help. 😃😃👍
Thank you Der yes that was a mistake I found after I posted it. It definitely made it more difficult lol!!! Thanks for the help. And thanks for watching 😃😃👍
Great play through! Learned a lot! One question, at 31:30. You just activated encourage that u put on the encounter board. Then u proceeded to the end of the round but didn't clean up the encourage effect. It is supposed to be u till end of round right? Or am I missing something? Thanks in advance!
Im not entirely sure what your question is but I'll go through the steps and see if what I did clears things up. So after the enemy goes I reveled the next card that the monster will preform during its action which is encourage. The card is not active yet not until the monster activates. then I had all my oathsworn go. After they completed there actions I played the encourage card which released rats that attacked with more might. once that card was completed then I moved to the next turn revealing the next monster card. I hope this cleared things up if it didn't please let me know. Thanks of the great question and thanks for watching
Yes it clears it up! The card encourage was not yet activated. I assumed it was because u put it on the encounter board as a reminder, but it wasn't active until next round. Yesterday we had our first encounter so we were struggling to get every rule right but after watching your vid I guess we did okay, minus some small errors. We've noted them and will make sure to follow the rules going forward. Sorry for the unclear question, I'm Dutch so there's a language barrier. Thanks for responding and clearing it up for me! Kind regards, Ton
As I have told you in the Story Video, you just made things harder for yourself by placing less animus in your characters. You start with the maximum on the left side, and then move the regen value to the right side during the refresh phase. Most of the chars have 8/6, so it means that depending how many you spend in a turn you may end up with more than 6 animus in certain turns. :D
Tail Whip had a rat tail symbol on it. So did the broken location in the rear.. does that mean anything? as in, because you 'broke' the rear, did you break the tail? 1:08:21
Great question Kurosh. When you break a location it lowers the monsters attack by the most powerful card. So in this instance the brood mother attacks with 2 red and 3 yellow. Since I broke the location the attack will only do one red and 3 yellow. Hope that makes sense and thanks for watching 😃😃😭
Yes Jeff you are 100% correct. of course you are then gambling that those dice will be your friend and more often than not they are not my friend lol!!! But yes you can always take dice and cards in any combination. They do recommend using cards for the monster to keep it more consistent. I love this game so fun thank you for the great comment and thanks for watching 😃😃👍
Sweet!!! Hope you enjoy the game it was game of the year for me last year and if your looking for a fun ride. Myself and Colin from the One Stop Coop Shop have been playing it live on the live tab of my channel. Don’t watch any of it till you play the missions yourself. It’s so fun and I don’t want you to spoil any of the surprises!!! It’s so much fun. I hope you love it as much as we do!!! 😃😃👍
Holy crap, your painting is wonderful! Do you have a full start to finish painting video without edits. Correcting mistakes and how to do so is important on painting all that? Wow super excited if you do!
Thank you for the nice complement Clint. Yes I do live painting videos here is the link to the most recent Oathsworn one. ua-cam.com/video/CmkRC952Osw/v-deo.html I’ll be doing more soon. I try to do one live painting video a week. Thanks 😃😃👍
Great playthrough. I just got my pledge, so I wanted to firm up my knowledge of the encounter phase. @34:15 could you have rotated your character to adjust your front arc to get the brood mother in the initial sweep strike? @47:15 You could have used your bow ability to give you the temporary range buff no?
Thank you I hope you enjoy your time in the deep woods as for your 2 questions. The brood mother was one sadly just of range no matter which way I turned. Also you are correct about the now but I had run out of animus to take the shot. So If I had had one more animus I could have made the shot. Thanks for the great questions and thanks for watching 😃😃👍
I noticed that you've been jipping yourself in Animus some rounds. For instance at 59:43, the Priest regens 6 and has a max of 8, while you had 1 left over.
You a completely correct I missed the “max” animus on the characters and only gave them each their regen amount. I fixed this in the next video. Thanks NYCFennir!!! Great to hear from you as always thanks for watching 😃😃👍
I can get the base game(standees) for 200$ and it is quite tempting to be honest, but after watching your painted miniatures,i don't know if flat standees and grey miniatures would brake the immersion. Great video👍
The game is amazing standies or minis you can’t go wrong the story and the encounters are great. Hope you get a chance to play or purchase this game it’s super fun!!😃😃👍
Nooooo!!!! You will get it next time. Take out those little rats they can take down a ton of damage when the mob you. Also cards may work better than you think. Colin took to cards about 1/3 of the way through due to the sad experience of missing all the time. I wish you luck let me know when you are victorious!!!! 😃😃👍
Thank you Ho Chuan!! Yes it really brings this game to life. The minis are absolutely stunning!!!! Thank you for the great comment and thanks for watching 😃😃👍
Great question. Yes you shuffle the individual i ii iii piles separately and put them down in the order of iii ii I. So you will be drawing the top of the one deck for the first round. Hope that makes sense. Thanks for the great question and thanks for watching 😃😃👍
Great question. The monsters from how I understand will never miss but also will never critical so it evens out in the end. Hope that makes sense. Thanks for the great question and thanks for watching 😃😃👍
Aw I forgot that you can also use the cards on the player side, this is probably why some of the numbers have the critical mark, thanks for the explanation. Great gameplay!
I love this game, that battle flow mechanic is awesome! At 51:00, you only placed 3 rats but it should be 4 because of the encourage card. Also at 56:30 I'm not sure if you should be adding the extra yellow die? Because that belonged to the previous card but it was discarded when the second location was destroyed. Loved the playthrough!
I agree this game is super fun!!! It is an instant hit!!! I’m Glad you enjoyed the playthrough. Your completely right I missed a rat that should have been there due to encourage. Your also right about the cube but it’s kinda weird becuae it actually should be there I just mistakenly activated the minions during the broodmorhers broken location activation. That made that turn a little different from the rest. Thank you Loes de Vries for your help and thanks for watching 😃😃👍
@@jaysonolson33 thanks Jayson. Glad you are enjoying it. I do think that the blade is placed ok. He is right in front of the S on the board which I thought was an acceptable location. I could be wrong and if so thanks for catching that. I hope you get your copy soon!! Thanks for the great comment and thanks for watching 😃😃👍
I have praised your excellent paintinng before but this time the characters, terrain and monsters are being overwhealmed by the extreemly busy and colourfull battle board.
Thank you Jezza. The minis are awesome and fun to paint. But the battle board does have a lot going on. The 3d terrain does make it stand out. I totally get that about the game it is a busy board. Thanks for the great comment and thanks for watching 😃😃👍
How do weapons work? I just don't understand it. If an ability card gives you an attack.... do you use the weapon and put it into cool down? Or does the atrack ability card work regardless of your weapon? Then if the weapon is in cool down does that mean you can't attack again till you get your weapon back? This is so confusing.
Great question. You always get the night from the weapon when you use your ability cards. If you want to use the ability on the weapon. Card after the attack it goes into cooldown. Even though the card is in cooldown you continue to get the might from the weapon. Hope that makes sense let me know if it doesn’t and I’ll try to explain it better. Thank Jason for the great question and thanks for watching 😃😃👍
@@MeetMeAtTheTable First, thank you for your awesome video, especially your enthusiasm. Second, let me see if I have it straight, and I'm typing at my computer instead of my phone, so I can ask it and see if I understand it better. 1. WHAT DOES UNARMED MEAN? I have a Harbinger. He has a Gnarled Branch. This branch gives him 1 YELLOW MIGHT on all attacks. So any ability card I use... I get that Yellow Might Cube. That's clear. But...the Gnarled Branch ALSO says as it's special ability: "When you use an ability with the RANGE keyword, add 2 RANGE to the ability." So, if I use and ability card that has the RANGE keyword, on it, such as DEADEYE SHOT, at RANGE 3, I can then play the Gnarled Branch and that range goes up to 5. However.... Deadeye Shot reads as follows: SWORD SYMBOL (The ATTACK SYMBOL), Unarmed, Range 3. --- What does the Unarmed mean??? Can I add the Item Gnarled Branch to extend it's range, if the Gnarled Branch is a weapon, which it is, meaning I'm NOT unarmed? Confusing. 2. CAN I ATTACK WITHOUT A WEAPON? If I use the Gnarled Branch above to extend range, and it's now on the 1 Spot of the Battleflow, can I attack again using special ability cards that have the ATTACK action, or do I need to have a ready weapon available? See.... this isn't clearly explained in the rules that I can see. A normal game says: Equip a weapon, and each attack you do uses that weapon. But this one puts weapons into battleflow? 3. EXILE EXAMPLE OF THE ABOVE QUESTION On the Exile, he has two Hatchets. If I do an attack, and I roll a critical... I have the option of adding the Item Card to the Battleflow and taking advantage of the Special Ability, which boosts my critical. Again, if I do that twice, and both Hatchets are on the battleflow, can I then still make an attack using a regular Attack Action card? Say using the Primal Strike Card: 3 Animus -- SWORD SYMBOL Can I still use the Primal Strike if both my Hatchets are in the battleflow?
Im wondering if the toxic cloud should be placed one space north where the rat was? or do you have to use the whole template? not sure what the rules where. great video thou. the most important rule when moving enemies is - have fun with it! (otherwise its too complicated ;))
I was thinking the same thing when I placed that template. I am going to ask the designers about it and see what they say. I totally agree having fun is always the most important!!! Thanks Lukasz great to hear from you!!! 😃😃👍
Great question Ty!!! I’m going to have to give you a “give me more time”. Iv only played this first mission. But if this continues equally strong this is not only going to be a BIG contender for game of the year but might be my favorite of all time. With that being said I will have both of these games in my collection forever. Thanks for the great question and thanks for watching 😃😃👍
Yes I totally agree Greg I when all is said and done as long as it was fun that’s all that matters. I’m sure I may have moved a few incorrectly but it’s all fun!!! I feel the system will get easier the more I play. Thanks for the great comment and thanks for watching 😃😃👍
Yeah, for this genre, the rules for movement in this game aren't terrible, but neither are they intuitive. Like in Gloomhaven, I'm sure the exact details of enemy movements are things people will often get technically wrong. But hopefully they will be "right enough" to preserve the general balance and fun of the game. I know when I play games like this I try to be correct, but also balance that against "close enough" for my gaming group so that we're not agonizing over rulebooks and forum posts and interrupting the flow of the game. As long as you aren't maliciously getting movement wrong to give yourself an advantage, and you're doing an honest effort to be correct, it should be mostly fine.
That’s an great question. It’s hard to say. oathsworn has an interactive story element Wild Assent is a reading narrative. Oathsworn is a boss battler where Wild assent is a skirmish game. Wild assent is a faster game. So sadly I don’t have many comparisons to the two. I will keep them both in my collection. Not sure if that helps. Thanks Joseph for the great question and thanks for watching 😃😃👍
They both look enjoyable. I chose to back Wild Assent & Aeon Trespass over this because the replayability factor in WA & AT seems to be greater. While I find the style of Oathsworn fantastic & the story based progression engaging, after you complete the campaign the replay appeal diminishes. Even so, the playthrough was entertaining, and I'm still on the fence about backing the next crowdfunding campaign.
@@AuthorDiCristofano totally get that. There are many branching paths in the story and tons of characters to learn in Oathsowrn, but I’m sure the general story will lead to an end im excited for Eaons Tresspass and the Wild assent expansion!! All the games are going to be great!!! And if you want you can always enjoy this game here 😃😃👍
Just shy of the 47min mark you played a 0 slot card to battle flow quick shot into the 0 spot and then placed down the 0 spot card so you could pick up quick shot. I think this is technically battle flowing quick shot twice with the same action. Wouldn’t the proper move be to play your 0 spot card before you battle flow quick shot? This would mean quick shot would remain in the 0 spot until your next refresh.
Nope, you only place the ability card into it's cooldown position after all effects are resolved and than battleflow any cards that were in that position. So it was correct to battle flow quickshot twice. Once for the cards ability and once for placing it into the cooldown position.
Thank you for your help Spllr. They explained it perfectly it’s a great little combo you can do with her. Though it only effects the Minions but of course another trick is to get a good shield card in your hand 😃😃👍
Well fought, but I believe I noticed you missing the Toxic Cloud's full mechanical reading "This will cause any enemies in the area to suffer an attack from the Broodmother immediately, and at the start of every Encounter Phase (Max 1 per round)." While I think I remember you applying the immediate attack, there was at least one round each for the Blade (Round 4) and the Priest (Round 5) that they started a new round while within the Toxic Cloud and should have received a free attack from the Brood Mother, if I'm reading the rules right for the Toxic Cloud. With the Blade surviving with 1 or 2 HP, and the Priest also having 2 HP at one point, I think the extra attacks might have even spelled your defeat in this particular scenario. If nothing else, the Priest, if they took 2 damage from the free attack, would not have been able to make the 5-damage Attack in Round 5 that setup for the Blade to finish the match. Then if the Brood Mother had a final turn, the Screech Card, as well as the Rat Swarm would likely have finished off both the Blade and the Penitent. Then again, you didn't summon the Ally that you could have, so there is that.
Fenraellis thank the for such a great explanation and comment. The toxic clouds only activate on the encounter phase. Both were attacked when they originally were placed during the encounter phase by the time it came back to the next encounter phase I was able to get both of the characters out of there clouds. So I believe I played that right. If it happened at the start of the round yes I would have been in big trouble. Hope that make sense. Thanks for the great comment and thanks for watching 😃😃👍
Great question. The priest is the one that healed with his 0 card and the Penitent used his 0 card to battle flow. I didn’t show placing the priests card. That would have cleared that up sorry. Thanks for the great question Greg😃😃👍
I found this story so good!!! My wife also enjoyed this game which is a big plus!! Killed the catcher guy lol!!!! Thanks Kevin for the great comment and thanks for watching 😃😃👍
@@MeetMeAtTheTable The story is not bad... What I'm not entirely happy about this is how random it is to resolve it. There is no much logic where you have to go to investigate, you need to be lucky to do it in the right amount of time. Chapter 2 is even worst... there is no logic to find the clues, you just jump around randomly and if you are lucky (as in you go to exactly every place that have a clue and you don't pick the wrong place) you make it before covering any of the rewards.I hope the next chapters are not the same. But we felt it was a bit frustrating
When you move enemies, they turn in the direction they move. In your first broodmother activation you didn’t do that, thus placing the brood spawn in the wrong positions.
You're totally right. I thank s I missed that. Yes those monsters will turn the direction they move. For the Rat is does matter. Thanks Aurthur I'll make sure to put a note in the video.
The game is more challenging than it looks. This is one of the best experiences I have had playing through a whole campaign it was super fun!!! I wish you will next time!!!! 😃😃👍
This is the downside to watching these immediately. I have to wait impatiently for the next videos. Did the trap you did in the story section not have any effect or did I miss it? Suggestion for the archer name: Moss.
T Carter always a pleasure to hear from you. Your I luck the next video is tonight. Colin and I will be playing together!!!! No the trap didn’t help with the main monster or anything. I may have got a reroll token out of the deal. Love the archer name!!! Thanks for the great comment and thanks for the continued support 😃😃👍
Glad I could help lol! I am really enjoying this game. Can’t get enough of it. It is a ton of fun. Thanks Blake for the great comment and thanks for watching 😃😃👍
Jesus that battle mat looks too busy and as if someone just sprayed paint on it. There are many things I dislike about Oathsworn and I don't understand the ravings about a game. Reminds me of Gloomhaven. There might be a good game there somewhere buried below all that ugly crap and long setup time. It does not matter how good a game is if it's a chore to get to the table. Learned that from KDM and Gloomhaven. Although KDM is almost worth it. Almost.
Everyone has there own criteria as to what makes a great game. This game hits on all the elements that make it great for me. It has potential for. Some of the year. The narrative is amazing and the battle flow system is really unique. There are games out there that top the list of great games that are just not my style. So I totally get where your coming from. Thanks for the great comment and thanks Dusan for watching 😃😃👍

That was an intense battle! Great video!
Thank you DMBuc2k1 glad you enjoyed it thanks for watching 😃😃👍
I always love your videos. I must admit I do get a little confused with the boss movement, but thank you your play throughs always help!
Very nice video! Great explanations and gameplay 🙂
Thank you Daniel glad you enjoyed. Thanks for watching 😃😃👍
on reaction you dont attack with minions. great playthrough, you do a good job on showing and explaining the game
Kind regards,
Ton
at 1:04, is it OK to battlefow the item? Was not sure about that rule
Yes items battle flow. just like abilities but they normally don't cause battle flow hope that helps thanks
Very good, subscribed
Thank you so much Joeylego glad you enjoyed it thanks for subscribing 😃😃👍
As I have told you in the Story Video, you just made things harder for yourself by placing less animus in your characters. You start with the maximum on the left side, and then move the regen value to the right side during the refresh phase. Most of the chars have 8/6, so it means that depending how many you spend in a turn you may end up with more than 6 animus in certain turns. :D
Thank you Diego I’ll make sure to put a note in the video. Thank you for all the help!! 😃😃👍
Hope that makes sense and thanks for watching 😃😃😭
at 29:00 you could have switched to the dice knowing the cards had less misses in right?
Yes Jeff you are 100% correct. of course you are then gambling that those dice will be your friend and more often than not they are not my friend lol!!! But yes you can always take dice and cards in any combination. They do recommend using cards for the monster to keep it more consistent. I love this game so fun thank you for the great comment and thanks for watching 😃😃👍
I havent started playing yet and only bought last week so watching your video's is a huge help!
Yes I do live painting videos here is the link to the most recent Oathsworn one.
ua-cam.com/video/CmkRC952Osw/v-deo.html
I’ll be doing more soon.
This rat keeps killing me and my party 😅 thanks for the great playthrough!
Nooooo!!!! You will get it next time. Take out those little rats they can take down a ton of damage when the mob you. Also cards may work better than you think. Colin took to cards about 1/3 of the way through due to the sad experience of missing all the time. I wish you luck let me know when you are victorious!!!! 😃😃👍
at 1:03:00, you forgot to divide per defense, but it wouldn't have change the result
Thanks for catching that
Omg this looks like a different game with painted minis
Thank you Ho Chuan!! Yes it really brings this game to life. The minis are absolutely stunning!!!! Thank you for the great comment and thanks for watching 😃😃👍
Do you shuffle the individual stage cards before starting the encounter (keeping them in the same I, II, III pile order)?
Great question. Yes you shuffle the individual i ii iii piles separately and put them down in the order of iii ii I. So you will be drawing the top of the one deck for the first round. Hope that makes sense. Thanks for the great question and thanks for watching 😃😃👍
55:38
Did you forget to take a critical?
Great question. The monsters from how I understand will never miss but also will never critical so it evens out in the end. Hope that makes sense. Thanks for the great question and thanks for watching 😃😃👍
Aw I forgot that you can also use the cards on the player side, this is probably why some of the numbers have the critical mark, thanks for the explanation. Great gameplay!
You didn't use the partial heroes, but the full set-up. Have you ever used the partial heroes? Any thoughts?
Great question I haven’t used the partial heroes much, I know Canje studios and board game brews used them you should check out there channels!! 😃😃👍
Also, Blade was placed wrong, his starting hex was actually 1 lower than you indicated. But I'm enjoying this as I'm STILL waiting for my core pledge.
@@jaysonolson33 thanks Jayson. Glad you are enjoying it. I do think that the blade is placed ok. He is right in front of the S on the board which I thought was an acceptable location. I could be wrong and if so thanks for catching that. I hope you get your copy soon!! Thanks for the great comment and thanks for watching 😃😃👍
well he managed 4 characters + the boss :D
I have praised your excellent paintinng before but this time the characters, terrain and monsters are being overwhealmed by the extreemly busy and colourfull battle board.
Thank you Jezza. The minis are awesome and fun to paint. But the battle board does have a lot going on. The 3d terrain does make it stand out. I totally get that about the game it is a busy board. Thanks for the great comment and thanks for watching 😃😃👍
In the start of conclusion Is really funny that are there everybody actors of this show. Like in the end in theatre ..😂🎉
Very true! It’s super fun!!
But...the Gnarled Branch ALSO says as it's special ability: "When you use an ability with the RANGE keyword, add 2 RANGE to the ability."
So, if I use and ability card that has the RANGE keyword, on it, such as DEADEYE SHOT, at RANGE 3, I can then play the Gnarled Branch and that range goes up to 5.
3. EXILE EXAMPLE OF THE ABOVE QUESTION
On the Exile, he has two Hatchets. Say using the Primal Strike Card: 3 Animus -- SWORD SYMBOL
Can I still use the Primal Strike if both my Hatchets are in the battleflow?
Im wondering if the toxic cloud should be placed one space north where the rat was? or do you have to use the whole template? not sure what the rules where. great video thou. the most important rule when moving enemies is - have fun with it! (otherwise its too complicated ;))
I was thinking the same thing when I placed that template. I am going to ask the designers about it and see what they say. I totally agree having fun is always the most important!!! Thanks Lukasz great to hear from you!!! 😃😃👍
How are you liking this vs KDM?
Great question Ty!!! I’m going to have to give you a “give me more time”. Iv only played this first mission. But if this continues equally strong this is not only going to be a BIG contender for game of the year but might be my favorite of all time. With that being said I will have both of these games in my collection forever. Thanks for the great question and thanks for watching 😃😃👍
We just did this and reall struggled with the minions movement. I like the system in theory but always doubted if it was correct
@@Morcarag this is exactly how a game should be played. I 100% agree with you Morcarag. Thanks for the great comment and thanks for watching 😃😃👍

How does Oathsworn compare to Wild Assent?
And if you want you can always enjoy this game here 😃😃👍
@@MeetMeAtTheTable well said. Keep up the great work.
Well fought, but I believe I noticed you missing the Toxic Cloud's full mechanical reading "This will cause any enemies in the area to suffer an attack from the Broodmother immediately, and at the start of every Encounter Phase (Max 1 per round)."
While I think I remember you applying the immediate attack, there was at least one round each for the Blade (Round 4) and the Priest (Round 5) that they started a new round while within the Toxic Cloud and should have received a free attack from the Brood Mother, if I'm reading the rules right for the Toxic Cloud.
At 39 min…how did you heal and then battle flow? Can you do multiple effects on same card?
Great question. The priest is the one that healed with his 0 card and the Penitent used his 0 card to battle flow. I didn’t show placing the priests card. That would have cleared that up sorry. Thanks for the great question Greg😃😃👍
I honestly found the story really good. My wife even liked it. We ended up killing the rat catcher guy :(
I found this story so good!!!
I lost my first attempt...tomorrow i will beat this thing...I think 😂
The game is more challenging than it looks. This is one of the best experiences I have had playing through a whole campaign it was super fun!!! I wish you will next time!!!! 😃😃👍
This is the downside to watching these immediately. I have to wait impatiently for the next videos. Did the trap you did in the story section not have any effect or did I miss it? Suggestion for the archer name: Moss.
T Carter always a pleasure to hear from you. Your I luck the next video is tonight. Colin and I will be playing together!!!! No the trap didn’t help with the main monster or anything.
