After watching this.... I decided to buy a new fan 😂

Love your attitude. Before I buy a new fan hey, it's only a few screws, good on you. I came here to see if you maybe new a magic trick but, a few drops of oil beats $40 bucks is my philosophy too. I also find this to be a regular maintenance thing a this point in the life of a house fan, and in the time it takes to do all you did would be relitive, to the time it takes to go to Wallyworld. Happy tinkering.

This is exactly my problem!! Guess I need to do what you did.. be back in a day or two after I get the 3 in 1 oil. Only have WD 40.

I’m glad you found my tutorial! WD 40 would still work in the meantime, I’m not sure how long it lasts though or if it attracts more dirt than the 3 in 1. I hope this helps!🌱💚

I actually have a fan making that EXACT same noise... I might try to oil the back of the shaft without disassembling the motor tho and see if that works. I'll let you know how I go.

@@bencodykirk I definitely didn’t have to take the motor apart, that’s why I added the tip to oil the back first. I hope it works for you!🌱💚

@@crochetgardenrepeat Well I did it! Took it apart just like you did and sprayed a bit of WD-40 on that hidden shaft. Works good as new now and earned some brownie points with the wife 👍. Thanks!
