Thanks Anthony. I purchased a used HS80 last winter and our first snow of the year 1/6/25 (8") found it letting me down. Lots of noise coming from the belt cover then the motor locks up. I suspect a broken belt but soon will tear down and identify. Thanks for all the great tips. I know what websight to go to when I need Honda snowblower facts.
Could be several things. remove belt cover in a minute to look/see. 4 little bolts. For more help see here ( post for everyone )facebook.com/groups/180228506224122/
Your videos have helped me a great deal - however, you don’t seem to have repair videos on the HSS models … everything is similar …. But different… very hard to find repair videos on a HSS928 … guess they never break down Thx vm for your efforts
@@HondaSnowblowerEnthusiasts311 I was making a general statement that most videos (not just yours) cover the HS models. Currently getting my HSS928 ready for summer storage and your 4 part service videos were very useful. Your HS repair videos and the wealth of common sense suggestions are (almost) directly applicable to an HSS. Thx for your efforts I have learned a lot.
Getting ready to do all of this on a Customers HS928-WA . How often\common is it for the impeller shaft to be stuck\seized into its shaft to the impeller fan ? And what's some tricks to getting the augers out of their housing if it is in fact stuck . Also the attaching fastener , is it a roll pin or shear bolt that connects the shaft to the fan pulley shaft ?
Impeller shear pin holds impeller to the auger pulley wheel. Lots of good penetrating oil and patience usually works to free stuff up in time. Sometimes heat and banging with hammer will loosen it up. Somewhat common with older machines that were left outside for years.
I think so . a 6004-2rs for impeller bearing an dif # for side bearings if needed. check a parts site like boats.net. a good aftermarket bearing that costs a lot less will work. bearing supply.
suggest you talk to dealer or look it up on a parts site like boats.net. every model has different belts. I have a video on how to look up parts in channel.
Please understand that the augers do have to be removed to replace the impeller bearing which is highly recommended when removing the bucket and belts.
experts on Facebook group facebook.com/groups/180228506224122 plus the Honda shop manual has them listed by length. or try the parts diagram on boats.net for your model. in future take before pics.

Is the bearing number the same for a HS624? also do you recommend the Honda bearing or aftermarket

How easy is it to change the auger housing on a HS622 2003 model that dont have belts?
easy.
I've got what I think is a broken auger belt. What size belt do I order, are the drive and auger belts the same size?
