Shorts helped me get monetized my main channel. I mean, I am just small content creator and I work really hard (I also use a little bit of fame- ster, but that's a necessity nowadays). I just give all my videos small initial boost, and that caused them to spread literally everywhere, bringing more and more organic views day after day.
You are so inspiring...I've been 3 weeks and I'm trying to share my journey of paying off $124k of debt in just 16 months back in 2020 and I have remained focused towards retirement goal and increased rental property and maintain modest lifestyle financially and became a minimalist... 71 subscribers and 55 video..mostly shorts, but I really just can't figure this thing out because I want to share that journey to hope others could use to help them❤❤❤
I became a partner way back in the 'Wild West' days of UA-cam. I'd say try to find something different that will generate interest with a significant percentage of viewers. I do lessons on styles not commonly covered. Been going since 2007 and very stable.

I've been following you for years because you are so accurate and straight to the point. My question is would I make more money having three individual channels, or one channel with two subchannels? And how can I learn the do's and don'ts, the rules of UA-cam so that I don't have any issues?
Does anyone know how sharing earnings with another creator (the one who has the rights) work? I made a video reaction, and UA-cam told me my earnings will be split between me and thole original creator, the owner of rights. But it's been almost one week, and I didn't get any money from this video, although it has more than 200k views. I don't do this kind of content too often, but when I made a previous video reaction (last year) and also had to share the earnings with the original creator, I still got some money. But this time, it seems like this particular video didn't make any money, although it has lot of views, and the monetization has been turned on since uploaded. Sometimes, I'm really confused about how this works...
UA-cam since 2020 are hard for new creators to grow their channel. Hell. Im not giving up either, stay motivated helps. Steping on spike at the momment.
I'm not monetized yet and I hope my niche will be significant enough to get there. The niche is Cubing like solving a Rubik's cube fast as well as tutorials, tricks.

UA-cam only monetized after they approved everything, so views between when I qualified and when they approved were not paid, which was about 100,000 views. Here is a critical question, that nobody has answered so far: If I turn off monetization on one of my videos, will UA-cam play ads on that video (in which I don't earn), OR will there be no ads at all for every viewer?? Why I ask: I want on some videos, my viewers not to be bothered by ads. So I want to turn them off. But this is useless if UA-cam puts ads anyway. Thank you!

EG, I have 100 views on channel 1, and 500 views on channel 2. So do I get 600 views towards my total? (Or they kept and totaled separately?)

@@mr.roberts41 when you hit 1000 subs, and 4000 hours watched you have to apply to be apart of the UA-cam partner program. If you don’t meet their guidelines you don’t get monetized. You have to wait 30 days to reapply. They also don’t tell you what they don’t like on your channel, they give a generic explanation.

Hi Justin, question! I have one channel now, but if I started another channel, do those views and subscribers on the 2nd channel combine to make a collective amount! EG, I have 100 views on channel 1, and 500 views on channel 2. So do I get 600 views towards my total? (Or they kept and totaled separately?)

Justin Brown, I just started my channel about 6 months ago and I was wondering, I have 2 videos and they have a copyright claim because of a meme I used. Does that mean that I can’t get monitized? Or is it just if I have a lot of copyright claims?
Edit: of course not monitized right now but if I reach the other requirements, would those 2 copyright claims make it worse
you can still be monetized, but better to not have those on your channel. You could use the UA-cam editor to cut that section out potentially

Hello do you need to be already part of the partner program i.e. have the 1000 subscribers and 4000 hour view time, before you can create and make money from shorts or can you start from scratch with the shorts and make money from the fund if the views are high enough ? Many thanks you videos are great .
There are new requirements for shorts, if you get enough views you can join the partner program that way too
Please I need advise.. I have all the UA-cam monetisation requirement, but I have different types of videos on my channel, like over 80 Sport videos, over 30 street interview videos and also movie videos... Somebody advise I should delete other videos that isnt Sport related just to maintain a niche... Please, I need to know if applying with all videos present will affect my chances of being monetised, thanks in advance

@@mr.roberts41 when you hit 1000 subs, and 4000 hours watched you have to apply to be apart of the UA-cam partner program. If you don’t meet their guidelines you don’t get monetized. You have to wait 30 days to reapply. They also don’t tell you what they don’t like on your channel, they give a generic explanation.
@@mr.roberts41 you only get 28 days to achieve the watch time hours and subscribers and then it restarts from basically 0 again every 28 days

@@DayByeDayChristine that is incorrect. You have unlimited time. But for monetisation it only counts your public views for the last 365 days.
