Get MORE and FASTER WvW Rewards

- When the Guild Wars 2 Secrets of the Obscure expansion was released, we got an overhaul of some of the reward (track) systems. One such change took place in World versus World, the PvPvP game mode that pits 3 servers against each other in a battle for the control of up to 4 different maps.
I previously released a guide ( • WvW Rewards without an... ) how I was completing up to 2 reward tracks per month by only playing about 5 minutes per day. This isn't possible anymore due to the removal of the WvW Reward Track Potions. So it's time to change our approach.
I still complete about the same amount of tracks, but I don't enter the mist war daily anymore. Instead, I'm focusing on increasing the reward track progress through the use of several boosters and optimizing the amounts of Reward Chests I try to obtain per week.

Also after every reward chest it gives you the next reward in the reward track as a bonus. The higher chests give 2 on the track
Great explanation - Thanks for this. As with almost all of your videos, there always something I can learn, no matter how much I think I know. I don't enjoy WvW, as much as PvE, but need to do a lot of it for Vision, and a few other Legendaries I want. This is very helpful. I may even get enough tickets for Conflux with this info...
That makes me very happy to read, thanks! WvW is indeed so convenient for Vision, especially for some of the more annoying to get PvE achievements.
Used to do the WVW dailies fairly often to slowly tick away at the gifts of battle I need for legendaries, but removing the potions honestly ruined WVW for me. It turned it from a "quick 10 minutes a day" to "I need to dedicate lots of time (at least an hour) in my busy schedule to doing WVW properly", which is rarely doable at the moment.
I get why they did it (trying to get people to play WVW for longer) but think it hurt the casual audience quite a bit more than they realised.
If you are that casual wtf do you want legendary for?
@@shongueesha7875 legendaries are a great end game goal to work towards, and being able to work towards them casually really helps. I have full raid leggy armor and multiple accessories (including the pvp one), and being able to do it casually makes it a lot more fun to do for a lot of people. Unfortunately, the wvw accessory can only be earned in wvw and needed for the full set. I'm just saying, compared to the other accessories from pvp and pve, I'm finding the wvw one a lot more "casual punishing" now that they took the potions out. Just my personal experience with it, your milage may vary

Ty for this video! I'm still 900 tickets away from conflux. I had no idea about the other reward track bonuses besides the gobbler, the celebration bonus, and the wxp bonus. Time to farm Gift of Battles while the Anet bonus is still up!
Awesome! Getting Conflux is a huge undertaking, but it feels so rewarding once you're done!
And this is indeed a great moment to get some of those final hurdles out of the way, that 30% really adds up.
I've kinda lost my passion for wvw after they removed wvw potions from weekly tasks....now I'm forcing myself to play it to get gifts of battle....imo wrong decision to remove something that has been there for ages and helped a little bit to get main reward faster.
I do prefer the other system too, personally. But I guess they might want to funnel people into the mode for longer periods of time. For now I set some time away during the week to play anywhere from 15 min to an hour. If one week I don't feel like getting wood, I don't get it though.

@SnaccHBG technically, it is all more or less the same. If you're an avid WvW'er you could even argue that you get more stuff now with the weekly achievements (the non-Vault ones), which I'm very happy they added as I like it when people can play what they prefer.
If you're not that into WvW, the previous system felt nice as you'd be in and out in a couple of minutes and got a reward track done every 20 days or so.
I do realise the previous way is against the spirit and best interest of the game mode, though. So I also see why ANet did what they did.
they deleted the wvw potions yeah but u can get the progress of those potions from the daily big chest its just u cant stack them and use them later
You forgot that completing dailies in the Wizard Vault now awards reward track progress. If you complete all 4 dailies (not counting login), you can get 1000 points towards your reward track. If you only complete 3 dailies + login, you only get 750 points before collecting the final chest (the one with 1g in it). Always complete all 4 dailies for maximum reward track progress.
no bro the login is counted as one too u always gonna get 1000 if u finish 3 + daily i tested this
Does this only apply to WvW dailies? I'm not getting any points from the chest when I do PvE dailies.

Nice & useful video. I wonder.. Have you posted a video regarding what's the more lucrative reward tracks to pick? If you haven't then the only ones I have in mind is the EoD ones (bcus imperial favour is such a lucrative currency)

fast.farming-community.eu/competitive/wvw-reward-track offers a list, but I think there'll be some nuances to consider. For EoD they do value imperial favor for example, but Gift of Battle is valued at 0, probably because it involves other steps crafting a legendary.
Didnt they add reward track progress back to daily wvw tasks? Think it comes as instant reward now, instead of a potion.
True, forgot to add that! I've selected PvE only for my vault, so glossed over that ;/
i still have stored in my bank more than 6,000 potions of each PvP and WvW reward track potions they are no longer available I'm planning to use all of them soon 😅
I am beyond Jealous :D Going to be a dopamine hit seeing those reward tracks fill up over and over again.
@@phandrel yeah people say how you are able to see all that potions there and no use them, i always use to save them in bank and as soon as a new reward track was available people grinding hours and hours for the completion and i got mine instantly haha i remember when they introduce the warclaw i got mine in seconds everybody jealous how you got that so quick i told them save some potions for the future 😁

Do the candy corn and snow globe buffs stack?
Yep, they do! Candyo Corn and Zhaitaffy/Snowflake are considered different buffs.
The snowflake does not stack with zhaitaffy though, as those 2 are the same.

Sometimes you get lucky and get an item that gives you a ton (100?) of them. Happens more frequently in WvW than anywhere else, I feel.

@@phandrel huh Ill have to equip it during my next wvw stint and see how much I get hourly. Wonder if magic/Might scavenger or jade slivers would be the better one.
