Major "These Chains" and "A Thousand Years" vibes. But it still sounds so original at the same time. Love the keyboards on this one. Great work as always!
@@LIVES.K That’s very kind of you to say, thank you so much. I have unfortunately never been to Japan, but I hope to some day. Love everything about it. Thanks again!
Loving these new arrangements.. less overall density allowing your voice on the guitar to shine more, again inspiring.. and that for me is really why I keep coming back to your stuff, it makes me wanna play. Bravo.
@@LIVES.K Hi! I’m not sure what that means.. I really should try Google translate. But, I’m seeing a smiley and a things up so I’m guessing it’s a positive review 😅 Thanks for listening and commenting! 🎸🌴🍸👍🏻
Even more impressive than the great guitar playing is that drum programming! How on earth do you get such intricate patterns and a mostly human feel? What software do you use mainly for that? Sequencer and Slate or EZ Drummer and just super smart programming chops?
@@brigi7020 Thank you! I use Toontrack Superior drummer for the sounds and I have a library of midi files that I use as inspiration and just tweak’em till it works. It’s very nice to have midi files that were played by humans so you don’t have to manually edit every single hi hat velocity in order to get a more natural feel. I do spend a lot of time (trying) to get the drums right. A few years ago I knew very little about drums, so it’s been a steep curve 😅 Now I’ve come to really love drums and try to learn as much as possible, but I still can’t play drums and I don’t think like a drummer so it’s a struggle for sure, but I try 👍🏻 Thanks! 🎸🍸🌴🤘🏻🥁

3:50 is the most appropriate use of tremolo picking I have ever heard. Tasteful shred at its finest.

@@marsa6 Awesome man! I play it all, so I certainly noticed how great that drumming was. And I'm definitely not at your level for guitar playing!
