The LOCK-IN jam session took place when we re-located BAYS studio to the iconic Michael Fowler Centre in hometown Wellington during lockdown, devoid of audience, digging deep for hope in a wild world. Crisp multi-track production recorded by Western Audio at MFC.

I once was FFD's driver in NZ, it was over New Years Eve and as I dove them back to Wellington we hit midnight and fireworks exploded over the bus as we crossed the bridge and the lads played me Danny boy, I'll never forget it!
my dad gave them a lift for cheap as chips when i was a kid and a few other kiwi artists

Thank you so much for the music over the years This year has been shit all round I'm 2 months into being Diagnosed with MS, spent a week in Hospital during the lock down and my gods boys you saved my life. From the MRI nurse telling me to stop singing wandering eye while in that tube for two hours, to spending a week jamming to your tunes while getting prodded poked and stabbed numerous times shout out to the ward 5 Ladies at north shore hospital!! your music kept me positive and is providing me with a safe place inside my head as I try and rebuild my life .
Skank is indeed the rock in my life. Really looking forward to seeing you at spark i will be the guy crying his heart out while dancing his ass off. Reading this made me emotion. Beautifully said on all levels. I once saw FFD in a Christchurch hotel and actually physically froze on the spot I was so Un-expectedly over-whelmed at how much their sweet sweet sounds have become a part of who I am. Not 1 day goes by I don't listen to at least there soul feeding sounds. Never under estimate the comfort you bring to us. 'wear your heart upon your sleeve so you never loose your feelings... Ya know FAT FREDDY'S YA MAKE MY DAY!!'

Finished watching Big Lebowski. Came to my room, rolled a joint and sat down to write a short story I have to deliver. Needed some music with a groove to inspire me. Found this. It all started flowing, smoothly. Funny thing. The story had to be a horror one, somehow turned it into a somewhat funny story. Got too much into a good mood with this music to write something dark :-)

Lockdown has been pretty bad. I tried to make the best out of my time and I was quite privledged to study towards a professional qualification exam. Have been studying for it for the last year listening to you guys. I saw this album come out a few days ago on youtube and couldnt wait for my exam to be over so that I can SEE you guys and not just listen. This rehearsal footage is good, but the actual concert was GREAT! They started with Blackbird, the bass response was down to ? 10 hz? And the lighting was insanely trippy. I'd never seen effects like that before. Joe Lindsay was on fire. Dallas' young son came on stage and showed off some dance moves. Louis Baker (opening act) came out and added some wild guitar licks. The crown was going crazy - after two hours they finished with Hope. Beautiful.
Catch them when they tour this show to get the whole effect. I'd seen them several times before, but nothing like this!
