Unlike so many singers, Dionne is not afraid to take her time.
Stunning performance of Feelings by the incomparable songstress Dionne Warwick🎤🎼
One word to Ms. Dionne performance, "Beautiful!!! She was into this. Anybody noticed her lip quivered several times at the end of the song.
Croon Dionne! Her tone is majestic here and phrasing impeccable!
Super
What can I say? I made no error in judgement way back in the day when Ms. D had all those hits in the 60's, She is a True Worldwide Treasure. Nobody has ever been able to sound or copy Ms. D's vocals. Nobody sounds like Ms. D.
Да - это ПОТРЯСАЮЩАЯ версия FEELINGS!!!!! ВЕЛИКОЛЕПНЫЙ ВОКАЛ И МУЗКЛАВИР!!!!!! Низкий ВАМ поклон!
Yep. Facts. No one!!
Beautiful .
She is wonderful here
That was a very popular song at the time of the late 1970s and this particular version is from 1978 on French television, as it states. She has done what is the best female version and right next to the Morris Albert male version. In a word, beautiful.
This is a stirring performance. I have looked for the name of that show and found out it was entitled " La belle nuit " in english " The beautiful night ". That was a varieties show hosted by french singer and jazz musician Sacha Distel. Maybe you have heard of him. That was aired on Channel 2, there were only 3 free channels at that time here till 1986 or 1987.
In response to your previous comment, yes I know of the original version of "Feelings ". Huge hit and I do like it much. I remember hearing this when it was played on the radio then on oldies stations. This is a touching tune but one more time you have given me a new information. I did not know that Dionne sang this song as well. Thanks again 😊.
I am sorry but I 've found another video of Dionne performing "I love to love " and there is much confusion about the year of that show. On the video she is wearing the same dress and she's singing on the same stage accompanied by probably the same orchestral. It is stated that it was a concert given at the "Theatre de l'Empire " in 1976. I guess that was broadcast on french TV in 1978 still on channel 2. Sorry I think I gave you a wrong information about the name of the show. The one I had mentioned was also aired in 1978 on Antenne 2 (channel) she really was one of the guests and had performed "Feelings ".
@@leafl75 Thank you for that information. That "Feelings" song was really popular here in the 1970a, especially the original by Morris Albert. That is why so many others, Dionne included, had done their own versions. It is a soft, sentimental song, though the lyrics are sometimes a bit strange.
@@leafl75 Thank you very much for the information. Sacha Distel I am aware of through some UA-cam videos in which a very young Dionne Warwick and he appeared on French television in black-and-white film from the 1960s and sang in English and French. She sang some in Italian as well. There is a clip of "Anyone Who Had A Heart," a 1963 and 1964 hit for Dionne Warwick, in which she had been introduced by Sasha Distel and he kissed her on her hand. There are stories online, including through her adult children, that they both were reportedly a romantic couple early on in the 1960s and Dionne had stated at that time that France was her favorite European country in which she had felt most well received.🙂 That is something you might know already, but since you had mentioned Sacha Distel, I had to mention it here on UA-cam.
@@leafl75 Louis Gaste, from France, later received co-credit for composing/writing this song, as when the original 1975 version was released, it was a young Brazilian singer named Morris Albert, anglicized from Mauricio Alberto, who took full credit for the song. It took a court case and many years for the French artist to get his credit. Dame Shirley Bassey did live performances and had recorded "Feelings" in 1976. She did a live television version, country of origin of the TV show not stated, with Morris Albert on a guitar. She sang it very well, mostly in a reclining position on what appears to be some kind of couch. She did well on that version, but Dionne Warwick definitely has a special sound on this French special, with an excellent orchestral accompaniment as well.🙂 That was presumably in original monoaural sound. Stereo television sound did not begin in the United States until 1984; I do not know if stereo television predated that in France. The sound here, however, is very clear and the video resolution as well, especially considering how it was from 1978, 43 years ago. The song has been parodied and panned by many, but I think it is a very good example of popular 1970s music. That it is still being discussed in forums such as UA-cam in 2021 shows it still is popular and more might like it than those who admit to that.
Maravilhosa canção cantada por uma maravilhosa cantora Dionne Warwick
My goodness! She is so young here.
@Pizza Pie It was 1978, so she was 37 or 38, older than her debut in her 20s in the 1960s, but a lot younger than her current 82 years old. A wonderful version. A wonderful, underrated song.
She was nearly 40 here and her husband was approaching 50
Chills!
Dionne Warwick. Canta con una naturalidad y elegancia. Su vozzzz es eterna!!!"
👏👏👏🎶🎶🎶🎶 magnífic ❤️🌹
Morris Albert, a Brazilian musician, wrote this song.🇧🇷❤️
@Alana Mendes. Yes, but Louis Gaste, from France, after an 11-year court battle, was given co-credit to the song, as is done on the write-up on this video performance.
chills..
Time when Ladys were elegants.
NOW WE HAVE "LADY" GAGA...🤮
@@gustavocabanas61 I know to what you refer, such as the many twerker-singers, but Lady Gaga really can sing ballads, as her two Tony Bennett duet albums attest. She is able to sing more than the electronic songs that made her famous. The meat dress, that, however, was bizarre.
@@jasonburger3533 I DON'T LIKE HER VIVE. I FEEL SHE IS LIKE AN ALIEN. SO STRANGE IN MANY WAY...
miss me dad
Sing Auntie D.

Feelings
Nothing more than feelings
Trying to forget my feelings of love
Teardrops
Rolling down on my face
Trying to forget my feelings of love
Feelings
For all my life I'll feel it
I wish I've never met you, girl
You'll never come again
Feelings
Wo-o-o feelings
Wo-o-o feelings
Again in my arms
Feelings,
Feelings like I've never lost you
And feelings like I've never have you
Again in my heart
Feelings
For all my life I'll feel it
I wish I've never met you, girl
You'll never come again
Feelings
Feelings like I've never lost you
And feelings like I've never have you
Again in my life
Feelings
Wo-o-o feelings
Wo-o-o, feelings
Again in my arms
Feelings
Wo-o-o feelings
Wo-o-o, feelings
Wo-o-o, yeah
E saber que esta música é de um autor brasileiro...
@Nicolas There are two credited writers, Morris Albert (Mauricio Alberto) from Brazil and Louis Gaste from France, as is done in the write-up on this video performance.
This is nice but I prefer Cher's version from the late 70s
Cher vocals are not even on the Same level as Dionne Warwick! How dare the comparison! I know that’s your preference, but she can’t hold a candle to Dionne! Cher and that shaky vibrato 🥵
@@shamoriwall well yes Dionne was a better singer but what you don't get is that sometimes an arrangement or the backing orchestra can make a song memorable or give it charisma it's not always about singing ability.
@@DA90027 I get it and I said what I said! I’m an arranger musician, producer and singer, I’m well versed in music and arrangements! So you can’t tell me what I don’t get. I do this for a living.
@@shamoriwall if you got what I said you wouldn't have left a reply no argument about Dionne being a better singer
@@shamoriwall and people that have to go around touting what they do or what they are an expert in are usually full of shit.
