I remember seeing this in the store but I always bought the Monogram Slingshot Dragster kit. All of Monograms models were a pleasure to build and had great fit. Thanks for sharing this as it brought back a lot of great memories.
This is a 1:25th scale version of the 1961 Monogram Sizzler kit. I’ve recently found one, and it scales out at 1:20th. I will probably get a couple of these, but put some more detailed engines in. Those 12 spoke wheels are very useful.
I didn't have this kit, but I had a Monogram kit I think it was called a "Sling Shot Dragster". It was the first motorized kit I ever built. They also had a non motorized version for a dollar, the motorized kit cost 2 bucks. Big money when your allowance was a dollar a week. Love your videos and vintage kits, especially Monogram or Revell.
WM, I remember those days as well when a 10 cent difference made the buyer's choice for you. For that you could get a bottle of paint or tube of glue! Thanks -Doug
This is such a cool little kit. One of mine will be getting an Ardun hemi with a SCOT blower. Or an SBC with a Potvin blower. Or an injected straight 6. Eh, I can't make up my mind. Looks like I have to get another one or ten lol
Doug I've been watching your videos for a while now and I'm currently working on the same model yours looks great but I'm currently going to do mine with the bantam body any suggestions for a color sceme? Thanks rob
