*A wonderful few days camping, panning and having such a great time 👌🙌👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻* Recommend watching this video for your complete enjoyment of the great outdoors Well that was gutting what happened to the tin ?
Thanks Glenda, when the weather plays it's part and you can have a wild camp with the dog who's been everywhere else with you, it's always going to make you feel happy. As you know, a few specs of gold is a bonus. As for the tin, I couldn't believe it but the good old penknife saved the day and that chicken curry is pretty tasty for a camp meal too.
@@MrDazP1adv3ntures definitely.. I know I would enjoy this adventure for the same reasons I was wondering if you took the trustee knife to it..I felt that exasperation of the moment 😳👍
I used a brief clip in part one of the penknife opening the tin Glenda and I've become used to doing this from similar experiences with my tins of mackerel letting me down too 😁
@@MrDazP1adv3ntures well blow me down with a feather. I didn’t miss a second and I can’t remember. Not the first time for me mind. Getting to the halfway mark does have its drawbacks 🤯🤯🤯
Great video again Daz part 2 was just as good as 1also great drone footage and sound track. The scenery is stunning great place to wild camp and go prospecting like you say its not going to make you a fortune its about finding the gold it doesn't matter if its a few specks or if your lucky a small nugget keep the videos coming Daz take care 👍
Thank you Stephen, it seems a long time ago this now with the sun beaming down and the long nights ahead you. I have a few more camping trips up in Scotland to edit so stay tuned buddy
Thank you Rob. UA-cam doesn't promote videos like it used to do. The bots are controlling us. I have another video that's nearly finished so stay tuned pal.
No worries pal, I haven't been out half as much as I would have liked to have done this year but almost every trip has involved a camp which has been fantastic and I have enjoyed this aspect of it just as much 👍
Hi Bob and thanks once again for watching and sharing a comment on the channel. I'm not sure which video to edit next from this season's trips out the rivers but I'll start working on one of them this week. 👍
Have u ever walk to the ruins in the woods? It would be a good shout with the detector I've seen them on my old map but never been for a look to busy trying to get the gold lol, had to move on from that location the yellow sandy stuff was killing me think I've got over a once of the stuff to my 0.5 of gold 😅
Wow , the setting looks awesome MrDazP1 and what a great pitch up site as well. I'm currently waiting for kit deliveries and as soon as they arrive i will be going on my first gold panning expedition in Tyndrum . Can't wait. I have been inspired by your videos and AUR prospector to give panning a try . Thanks again for sharing your amazing videos.
@@MrDazP1adv3ntures I have passed through Tyndrum a lot of times when heading North, at the moment i have 4 areas of interest in Tyndrum that i want to try out so far and still looking at others.
I have cycled through Tyndrum on my John o' Groats rides and couldn't believe my eyes at the stunning scenery. There must be a lot more gold up there than people let on
@@MrDazP1adv3ntures It's beautiful around Tyndrum. I used to take my boat to Glencoe and on to Loch Sunart for the sea fishing, i have spent some time in those areas. I'm really looking forward to going now , 5 more items to come and i'm off.
It sounds like you will know a few places then Clive. Best of luck my friend and keep a check on the weight of the old backpack. ( I am always throwing things in mine )😓

Very nice work Daz👌🏻 You take us on a very peaceful and tranquil journey on every vid and always learn something👍🏻 UA-cam stopped recommending your channel to me so I have missed 2 previous vids! Hope all is well at your end⛏🏴
All is well on this side of the border pal ( except for the rain ) and I hope all is well for you and the family. UA-cam is no longer what it used to be in my opinion . It's a great platform don't get me wrong but it seems to be stagnating in a sea of stupid algorithms 🤨. Who cares though, we make our videos and we do our best to tell the story from our times spent at the river.
Funnily enough, I never received a notification for your reply lol! All good I’m here! Got out last weekend but the levels were high! Found some nice flood gold. Hoping to get out this weekend to where I found my nugget but not sure yet. Been so busy with family and work that I don’t get out much!!!
Another good video Daz keep at it 👍have you ever panned where you can see a exposed quartz vein? I see plenty when out in the mountains in the Lake District and Scotland, there's big bands of exposed quartz mostly close to the summits but usually there's no water nearby so would probably have to just collect a sample. Do you think when the quartz is liquid and been pressurized threw the gaps in the rock usually from a magma chamber far below the mountain that the gold particles would make it to the top of the mountain or can they only rise up so high within the vein?
Hello Jonathan and thank you for the comments buddy. There's a huge exposed vein in the mountain side visible from the valley below at the river Orchy near Tyndrum and all of that area is surrounded by faults with an abundance of mineralised juicey stuff. The old timers across the globe used to find the gold and chase it either underground or higher up the valley sides looking for the motherlode. I saw an interesting feature about vein structures where the geologists noted that over many different periods of time, they can become active and transport heavy metals through them which cool down again, leaving several layers of visible mineralization. It's all interesting stuff and I am not a geologist but this hobby makes you think a lot about these kind of things
I'm watching a few of your videos about panning for gold in Scotland. Could you maybe share some detailed maps of Scotland with us where the areas are where the could be gold in the streams? Thanks
Hello Jasper, you can get permits at 3 locations in Scotland. Leadhills, Mennock and Baile An Or. The campsite in Tyndrum promotes gold panning from beside your pitch in the river. Hope this helps buddy.
It's a bit tricky to find a quiet spot with a flat pitch but I love the sound the birds make in this wood. I agree with you about UA-cam too, it's changed over the years.

Can anyone tell me why no one finds silver in rivers and streams ?????
Silver can be associated with Galena and lead ore and is often a bi-product from the process
