My face gets tired when i smile so much (when i go out with funny friends and smile a lot xD) and also my forehead when i apply makeup (i have hooded eyes, so i rise my eyebrows a lot to expose all that hidden skin).

Society sometimes hate natural and healthy women who take care of themselves.
I have been accused at work to have pretty privilege and to eat only salad, simply because I am health conscious.
If people think you are good looking, they sometimes think you have a high opinion of yourself..
I am also introverted and people pick at me for it.
But when I seem too confident they are not happy either..
Conclusion is: people will always make assumptions and judge, no matter what we do..
I think addressing negativity is good sometimes..

I am wayyyyy older than you, and going the natural route. I am in my 60s, and it has been a journey of self-acceptance. I have not done any injections/botox/fillers/surgery/surgical peels, etc. I just started tretinoin about 3 months ago, because of you. I love it. I started seeing a difference in 3 weeks, and now at 3 months, I am blown away. I catch myself in the mirror, and my skin hasn't been this radiant in decades. I wish I had known sooner. I have used sunscreen religiously since I was about 22 and have used OTC chemical exfoliants over the years. That also has been the saving grace of my skin for years. Nobody thinks I am my age. Yes, I have good genes, but I also eat very well. I have a green drink that I make everyday, and I don't eat out. I make my own food. All the things you describe, I do too! The benefits STACK.

I think your level of transparency is not only refreshing but vital in a society like ours today. Your concern of young viewers (specifically young women and girls) stood out to me as well. It reminds me of the song 'Mrs. Potato Head' by singer Melanie Martinez. A lyric from that song that always breaks me is "It's such a waste, When little girls grow into their mothers face, Well little girls are learning how to cut and paste, And pucker up their lips until they suffocate". Unfortunately as humans we do subconsciously act on the principle of 'monkey see - monkey do'. Your openness to explain in detail not only parts of yourself, but also acknowledge the impact it can have on others and how it ties into your magnified voice as a content creator is so beautiful. Thank you Jennifer for being such a strong beacon of light in such a dark period of time on the internet. Amazing video as always!

I realize the intention of this video was not to discuss ASD (but thank you for trusting the community to share that with us) . This video has really educated me and I hope it will do the same for others in understanding how ASD can affect the ability to show facial expression (aside from your choice to not overuse your facial muscles). I hope this knowledge will cause people to be more sensitive and understand that there are people with whom facial expressiveness, doesn’t come naturally, the way it does to many of us. We’re all different which is a beautiful thing; we’re not meant to all look or be the same (and sadly, with Botox and filler, many people are all starting to look the same, which is sad to me.) This video was a great reminder to always strive to be kind, both on You Tube and in every day life because you never know what someone is struggling with and because it’s a free, beautiful gift we can give to each other. I’m very sorry that anyone on here made you feel like you needed to move your face or feel like a dancing monkey. That just hurts my heart. Jennifer, you have SUCH a beautiful smile and I love to hear you are practicing using it but I hope you never feel pressured by society to do so, unless you choose to. I know this video is not intended as a sensitivity lesson but it really was that for me and I hope it will be for others. You’re always kind, in spite of what sounds like may have been some unkind comments. That says so much about you, your strength and your character.
      Blessings to you.

While I miss my youth, one thing I really appreciate that I didn’t then is the ability to see the big picture. I also worry a lot less about what people think about me. have you always lived in the United States or did you spend any time growing up overseas? Also, thank you for sharing videos and about your relationship with your mom. It’s wonderful to see how close you both are and how she also chooses to age naturally. I see a lot of mothers in Southern California cave to societal pressures about invasive procedures, which they pass along to their daughters. It’s unfortunate.

I wish I found you years ago before getting fillers. I've always been conscious of my health, but somehow my insecurities got me into using these injections without questioning. They changed my features, they migrated and disolving some of them caused me a lot of symltoms I have been trying to heal for the past 4 years, like muscle athrophy, crepey skin, loss of volume in ny hands and feet... I aged at least 10 years. There is a group called botched fillers and hyaluronidase damage support group with thousands of women experiencin similar symtoms.
Is the biggest regret I have.
Thank you for your content and for being so straight forward and honest.
I have been using tretinoin for 4 years and my skin has improved, but the damage from fillers and hyaluronidase is irreversible.

Hi Jennifer, you should not have to “prove” anything to anyone. Those we follow you and understand your lifestyle and health philosophies know you are living your life as you represent. As a long time user of Tretinoin, I can attest to its amazing results. There is a disclaimer: though Tretinoin has immense beneficial effects on the skin, it cannot prevent the structural changes in the face, below the skin surface, that is a normal part of the aging process. We do what we can and happily accept what is natural and normal for all humans as we move through our years.

You are 100% correct wrt the effect of facial muscles on physiology. If I am scowling and make an effort to relax my face, the rest of my body relaxes. The same with other emotions. The body goes where the face/mind goes.
It's not that people hate the fact that you're aging gracefully. It's that they expect 42, 52, 62 women to look haggard and stressed. If you don't fit that mould, you must be doing injectables etc.
I also don't move my face dramatically because I learned at 16 that some repetitive facial movements cause wrinkles. So, if I realise I'm scowling, raising my eyebrows too high, I relax.

Well, it's how those 'influencers' make ends meet. It's their job to promote such products and procedures. I do believe that for your overall youthful appearance tretinoin plays a marginal role. Your entire healthy lifestyle along with your (lucky you) Asian genetics is the main factor of your youthfulness. It definitely motivates me to pivot mine into a healthier direction. Ignore the hateful comments, it's pure jealousy. Stay as you are! ❤

I've never had fillers or botox, but honestly they can be good in small doses. Just so many people overdo it.
As someone autistic who's main special interest is beauty it's really cool to see someone else on the spectrum have a channel dedicated to beauty and fitness! You're so articulate and inspiring!
I'm very extroverted and known for being bubbly and approachable. But honestly you're the kinda person I find cooler, your dead pan humour as incredible. I lost it laughing so many times in this video!
p.s Please don't feel pressure to show emotions, honestly being catatonic is an anti ageing gift. If people listen to you they'll learn how kind you are. One autistic guy I dated was soooo catatonic but I always found it beautiful, and he showed his love for me in so many different ways x

Would you do a typical yoga routine video? 💜
I work too much outside on my farm to really be bothered with aging and I tan pink in my face so ppl don't usually notice wrinkles 😄
But keeping mobile and flexible is essential to me!
    You look great 🌻

As I'm a 27 young women currently, I think that kind of thoughts of injecting faces to keep youth is coming from Kpop/Kbeauty trend plus Instagram celebrities in Hollywood. These trend has impacted a lot of young women to feel way too casual about the injections/cosmetic surgeries. Social media is a very scary place. There are mind controlling, delusional thoughts, marketing, idealists, everywhere. I myself realised that in recent years and really changed my perspective to face truths about things in a good way.

You are one of the people who introduced me to Tretinoin for its anti-aging benefits. I am a proud Tretinoin user for a year now and my skin has never been better! I thank you for that, Jennifer! It is indeed a skin miracle to achieve that "dream skin". Of course, that together with a healthy lifestyle. I enjoy watching your videos! You inspire me! You are beautiful inside and out! Please give a shoutout to me in one of your videos someday. I truly appreciate your work. Thank you and God bless always!
