    My advice on using DH Gate, wait a few months in to the season (if you can) as the bugs, like the white not being grey on the collar, should be fixed. Also, check each sellers ratings as some are wildly different to others.

    I'll always buy from Dhgate and similar places as long the club sells the shirt for such a high price. £70 is just ridiculous. Surely if they dropped the price by £30, they'd have more people buying them legitimately.

Sorry club dont get a cut the chinese version maker obviously dosn't care about international law, but as you said times are tough and the castore shirt not worth the price, sooner they are gone the better. • @chrismilne5261
    @chrismilne5261 Рік тому +1

    Amazed! I've just bought legit kits from the clubs store. Home and away for me and my son. Home for the Mrs and a bunch of last season's kits home for my daughters, away for me, 2nd and 3rd for my son. Names and numbers and champs league badges. We don't make it back home often and can't get tickets for games, so over indulged. Spent hundreds. Dont really have a problem as the money is going to the club and haven't bought shirts during the Ashley era in protest. But if the fakes this good Id definitely consider them for the kids. Really it's the training gear that gets me. Way over priced. Basically a gym top for 50 quid. 30 would be fair. I'd choose Newcastle merch over ordinary gym and lounge wear if it was competitive price wise. I have to say I've very carefully selected my kits, I found sizing and quality of castore stuff inconsistent. My home shirt is a medium, fits like a medium and a half, definitely larger than a couple of others I tried in the same size. Had to go for a large in the away shirt. Bought at the same time. Bizarre, pleased I didn't order online. The nufc logo on the back is wonky or not centred properly on a lot of the genuine kits. Quality control is poor. Shame as I've actually really liked the castore designs. I've wanted Adidas back but looking at some of the juventus kits I'm not so sure...

    The main ways you spot the fakes of any replica shirt are:
    1. The front sponsor is always a slightly different font
    2. The sleeve sponsor is smaller than the real one
    3. The collar/head hole is always larger on the fakes
    There’s many other differences but these are the ones I always notice

Take off VAT first of all so that’s £11 off, castore will take 2 chunks, 1 for being the manufacturer and one for the retailer(if bought in the NUFC shop) that will be around £23 for each, cost to make the shirt is probably around £6-£8, cost of marketing and distribution is another £5ish. I think people should really think twice before buying these. I understand people not wanting to put money into the previous owners pockets or buying retro kits, but when buying these you are basically stealing from the club at a time when it is important to improve revenue for FFP which shirt sales are part of. The real shirt will cost you £9ish a month (£80 / 9 months) which if you can't afford a ticket, is an good alternative to put money into the club.

      Real one will be out of date next May which doesn't even give you 12months.
      My first one as a kid (unsponsored Umbro 1983) was the same design for 4 or 5 seasons.
      Parents don't get their money's worth now and all you get are "well you don't have to buy it" shite comments from the feckless herds, blithely shelling out obscene amounts for something obsolete in less than a year....
