Yearly tradition of covering the best mods for the previous year is finally here, and as always, we are checking out the best and most popular modifications made by the community and released in the year 2022! The Skyrim Mods are rated "the best" by using metrics such as amount of downloads, endorsements, and my own judgement and experience(s) with the mod. I hope you guys enjoy and let me know down in the comments below whether there should be part 2! If this video reaches 5k likes, I will consider making one as there are at least 5 to 7 mods I wanted included alongside the ones showcased, but I really wanted to bring down the video's length to more acceptable duration. Thank you so much for watching, and let me know down in the comments below what you liked and disliked about the video. I will be pretty much responding to almost every comment just like I always do for these yearly videos! Much love, Syn
Not going lie, was bit surprised to not see any character mods this go around. Usually seems be Race overhauls or model updates. Guess it's really hard to make good ones with how many are out now days. I think part 2 is needed to get those things left out! ;)
True words, bit concerning we might elevate our expectations for TES6 because of the mods, and potentially end up disappointed. Fingers crossed that doesn't happen.
I hope that make sure to make the modding a bit easier to use I have both console and pc and feel like if they make a focus to make the console modding experience better with what ever technical upgrades the game will have I won’t be let down. Regardless I loved playing vanilla TES5 for years for wat made it Skyrim. I’m looking forward to TES6 knowing modded or not imma enjoy it👍🏼
Please do a part 2! I have been modding my Skyrim (again) and it is amazing how it plays like new after all these years. Great videos! And props to all modders. Talk about a truly talented and magical community
Skyrim's modding community continues to be one of the most exciting spaces to watch in all of gaming especially with the Skyblivion announcement yesterday. Its insane the level of innovations they've made just this year alone. Part 2 please!

Part 2? Heck yeah! When your video started I thought I was watching a preview of a movie. Great job. You just keep upping the ante 🙂 some good natured competition between you, SgtGim and Heavy Burns for 2023. Keep on keeping on 👍🏻
Great video! What is the dash-spell you use at 6:19? I've never seen it before. Actually, is the entire modlist from the "best magic mods" section posted anywhere? This looks amazing!
Thanks, as always. I trust and value your recommendations more than any other channel. You do a great job picking out the truly best mods and honestly explaining their merits, rather than just throwing up new material. And of course, the videos are amazing to watch even when I'm not updating my mod list.
How does that teleportation spell at 6:28 work? You seem to be able to cast quite fast without actually changing the equiped spell. The execution looks a lot like a dodge from the dodge mods. Do you have some kind that allows a better casting?
This was fantastic editing! The editing to explain each mod and the panning shots are incredible. I can't imagine the time it took to put this together. Bravo.
You got me into Skyrim. For years I'd try the game, I could never get past whiterun, the game was just boring and wasn't for me I guess. That was till August of 2021. I saw a video of yours pop up in my feed and your game looked like something else. After about 5 days of modding, I started my first play through. I was hooked. Modded skyrim is a top ten game for me because of you, for that I'm forever grateful. I'm gonna be playing this game in 50 years and it started here.
Always happy to read comments like these. Very nice hearing you made someone's life just a little better, even if it's through very small joys. Thank you for the kind words, cheers!
I love modding community. Every time I watch mod videos to find new good mods, I admire how much beautiful stuff people create for this game. Incredible. Also, well made video, definitely subbed.
Never been here this early. Another banger of a video, and I must say, I downloaded that Winterhold City overhaul as soon as I saw those shots. Thanks, Syn!
During the magic portion of phendrix elements and magic what is the mod for the dodge? It is so cool, but can't find any mention of a magic dodge on nexus. @6:23 Is it a vampire mod or a standalone?
great mods, I personally love them all and Phenderix mods are awesome. I use Proteus a lot mostly for making custom followers, can even save your old playthrough characters into Proteus and then bring them into any game has so many features. Yes a follow up video would be awesome great vidoe thanks
Oh yes, it’s great to see those Ultimate Combat animations from 1.5.9.7 @ 6:17 Recently downgraded from AE, and man does it feel good to see enemies actually be scary to fight!
Really enjoyed the video! I do have a question about character model mods though, I don't really enjoy the art direction of the more popular character model mods (or at least what is showcased, they could be modified to be different and I just don't know). I feel like all the character model mods don't really feel like Skyrim, they look more like a Korean MMO as if I'm playing BDO or Lost Ark and they all look too clean(as in there's no dirt in a medieval time era without running water, everyone is *too* clean and perfect). Do you know any mods made recently that follow the original art direction of Skyrim or maybe something like the Skyblivion art direction? Thanks
There is a mod called Dirt and Blood which makes your character look dirty as time pases, you can always take a shower to start the process again and it also affects npcs, for example blacksmiths and bandits will most of the times have dirt on them and stuf
Not only do I want a part 2, but PLEASE show me where to find your actual modlist with installation instructions. Out of everyone I watch on the Youtubs, your game looks and feels exactly like I want mine. Thank you for everything!
I really loved modding skyrim SE, but since the anniversary edition, I got completely confused about what i learned, but I'll probably be back. i normally do.
Thank you for linking the mods as they seem to change name over time. I couldn't find "Nature of the Wild Lands 2.0" on Nexus as the name is now "Nature of the Wild Lands - forest and trees improvement mod".
Its a shame Seasons of Skyrim didnt get too popular. Im making a modlist based around it, and it gets difficult at time to find flora mods that are compatible AND look good in every season, specifically grass. I really hope going into the next year mod authors will give it a bit more love. Northern Roads was a fantastic start for that!
So I've been on a Skyrim modding hiatus for a few years... and I come back and find out there's a full set of combat mods to turn the game into an action RPG.
