If you want your day to feel good JUST WATCH ADAM THE WOO AND PRESTO you'll have a nice day. Your the best Adam. Always loved your videos, it always brightens my day, your friend MiracleShine Mike
It's sad to see so many Historical sites long forgotten. I've never would have known about these if not for you. Thanks for sharing!! Crazy how small that little red schoolhouse was...
I love love love historic homes and recreations of historic homes, with all the carefully manicured details! The kitchen is so on point, and the bedroom, mannequin and dressing gown are so gorgeous!!! The oven 😍 Just all of it, beautiful, charming, cozy! When ya don't have a pot to piss in, just have fun and give us a long outro!! Love it!!
I loved this video! I grew up in a 1920’s home and you brought back so many memories. Our kitchen had those checker board floors. Thank you for this Mr. Woo!
Amazing history here man!! Very cool!! New Orleans just found and opened a 100+ year old time capsule last week. It was waterlogged, but a lot is restorable. I absolutely love history! Thanks for this as always!
Adam you did an excellent job showing the Quester Court and the Heritage Junction. Thank you so much for coming to visit us!!! Come again. Have you "done" the old Oil Town Menteryville at the end of Pico Canyon? Cynthia Harris Past President of the Santa Clarita Valley Historical Society.
Great video, Adam. It's important to understand how people lived back in the day. When I was young, I spent my summer at my Grandparents farm home. They still had a wood burning stove. Thanks, Adam!
Ah Woo-ster!! You just never fail to educate, entertain and engage (not bad huh? See how I did that with all “E” words?)! I enjoyed this one a bunch. What a cool look into our past. Funny how everyone lived close and interacted with each other daily whereas now, we build houses almost on top of each other then put up walls or fences and avoid our neighbors. Very sad. I loved the train station most and the schoolhouse! My mama went to school in a building not much bigger than that one. She told me there were 12 students total! Amazing! Thank you for the early-morning tour. Safe travels Adam!
I grew up in Santa Clarita, and I have a lot of good memories attending dances at that train station when I was in high school. I remember heading inside there a few times, and looking at the train departure and arrival times written on the wall. Definitely a lot of good history there.
Very nice. I’m loving the history here, and appreciate how well it’s been maintained. My tattoo shop still has an old phone booth with one of those giant old wall phones in it. I wish it still worked, lol.
Thank you for sharing with the world content like this! Love the history. As someone who lives on the east coast and may never have the opportunity to visit the west coast - I'm grateful I'm able to experience these places through your videos!
Great video! I’m from Saugus and I actually remember when the Newhall home was over in the Magic Mtn. overflow parking lot. Thanks for sharing a little bit of my home town; living in San Francisco nowadays I don’t often get to visit Santa Clarita as much as I’d like.
Hey Adam, hubby is a long time subscriber and we live steps away from that secondary parking lot where that farm house came from. We would love to buy you lunch next time you come around. Thank you for showing us this as we always drive by it and wanted to know what it was like. We are gonna visit it this weekend for sure thanks to you.
Another interesting and entertaining video Adam. The tiny schoolhouse and church are amazing to see. The Edison house is also unique, I'm glad they saved all of those buildings and put them in one place to easily tour them. Great video (as usual).
I'm a tad late, been getting kids ready for school but this video is awesome! I love old stuff and history of old stuff. I like the train station the best because there is an old one in my town. Wooooo!
Thomas findley Mitchell, who built the Mitchell Adobe, was my great great great grandfather. Thanks for highlighting some of my family history. Currently, the Mitchell Dyer cemetery (sometimes called by locals the Mexican baby cemetery), which sits on the property the Adobe once was, was purchased by a developer, is hopefully going to be restored (most headstones were destroyed by vandals), and turned into a memorial for the bodies who lay there, including Thomas Findley Mitchell and my great grand aunt (baby helvey).
We use to go to the William S Hart ranch about once a month to view the buffalo in that area. That train engine I was told was donated to them from Gene Autry.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Adam always love your videos it's nice to watch videos of someone I can relate to.Your history is phenomenal you are awesome at what you do keep it up,gotta say I sure do miss the daily adventures.
Even though I've never been to any place like that, I like learning about things like that. And seeing that train really makes me want to go to the train museum in Houston more than ever. I think I'll be doing that soon.
A wonderful video as always Adam and so much to always learn I love these videos!! Hope ya have an awesome rest of the week buddy we love ya big guys!! And remember to STAY SAFE STAY STRONG AND STAY POSITIVE :)
Love History and that made this video that much better. Your photo of the house with the snow, that photo may be old enough that it is printed "backwards". Photos back in the day came out that way. i.e.: the photo of "Billy the Kid" - for years many though he was left-handed. Turns out the photo is printed backwards.
I learned new stuff this video!! Never knew what a picture rail was. Now I see what it is and how it is used. Same with Cup Board. That is the 1st time I've heard how cupboard came to be - it makes perfect sense!!!
My grandfather had an old cabin back in the woods and it had a wood burning stove so I'm quite familiar with the one in the kitchen. That one seems to be missing it's water boiler.
Wow!! That's right near whete I live! I pass by it all the time so now I'm going to have to check it out for sure. Thanks for sharing! Have you been to William S Harts ranch in Newhall?
Me love the Old West. You just reminded me that I still have to try the "Way Station Coffee Shop" in Newhall and in nearby Saugus, "The Original Saugus Cafe." Old skool divey diners are a tractor beam.
We've a Pardee Home Museum up here in Oakland too, but ours was home to 3 generations of former Gov. George C. Pardee's family. George was the son of Senator Enoch Pardee. Not sure what connection, if any, George C. had to William E. The museum offers guided tours & educational programs awa hosting musical performances. The coach house & gardens are available for private events rental also. I attended a fellow alum's wedding reception there several yrs ago - the grounds are beautiful - a little piece of history straddling Downtown & the West Side.
