I was in kindegarden when this aired. Where Eleanor lived, this aired on WYOU Ch. 22 where Larry Sporono, Debbie Dunleavy, and John Nugent anchored News 22.
Aww! I’m glad that one of the other Bob Barker Beauties, Kyle helped out since Janice she was sick. I’m sure glad everyone appreciates her helping out. Jennydebrier
Rod Roddy, along with Johnny Olson, got a lot of camera time until 2002-2003 season with the exception of that year's premier when he was seen at the end of the show celebrating the premier and Rich Fields didn't get a lot of camera time until at least the 2009 season. Most of the other game shows almost never did that, although Johnny Gilbert was shown on camera on Jeopardy a few times. I generally like Rod Roddy but he slightly starting going downhill with his announcing in the mid 1990s as he was less enthusiastic in his later years and lo lover did skits during the Showcase like he did in his early days on he show as did Olson and Rich Fields was great just as Johnny Olson did. Although Gene Wood, Rich Jeffries, Bob Hilton, and Rod Roddy were tryout announcers after Olson died, Roddy was given the job although I thought Johnny Gilbert would have been a good tryout announcer as well even though he only did the Bill Cullen edition. IMO, had Rod Roddy would have been living at the time of the death of Charlie O Donnell he would have been a good interim announcer for Wheel of Fortune

So on this 33rd perfect show to date here, was that Janice or a substitute model on the show along with Holly and Dian? (her absence could have been possible due to a injury suffered less than a year ago that restrained her from wearing swimsuits and bikinis.)
It was due to Janice's accident on the set! She would be back later that year, 1989! Kyle would've a good permanent addition if they kept her after Janice came back!
This has to be a "Perfecto" episode from February 1989. I was in school back then, and I have not seen this episode. Amazing!

My favorite showcase was when they offered trips to San Francisco, Hawaii, Australia, and Japan.
@ 28:02 - Rod Roddy made an on-camera appearance, when it was also one of the 1st episodes ever to have him, in the box, going downward.
Hard to believe Bob was 66 when he made this episode.
he was 66 when he was born.
Classic Perfect Show!
Even though we had an Overbid at the end of the Showcase part.
At least it wasn't a *double* overbid. That would just hurt.
This was one of the first episodes with the 10-12 format for Bullseye, but not THE first. That occurred 13 days earlier.

bluebear1985 aaaaaaah a different world, my love show! And my friend’s, long overdue for the reboot!
Thursday February 16,1989 aired, could be videotaped January 1989 when I was age 2.I could be at my babysitter's house when this aired on CBS at 11am.
20:20 Holly is such a hustler!
Perfect wins are great. 😀👍

3:14 There's Kyle Aletter (Lee Meriwether's daughter) substituting for Janice.
Does anyone know why Janice was off or was the taping out of order because we know Kyle subbed for Janice during her recovery after her injury
@@wheel-if8em RIP Kyle, unfortunately, we lost Kyle

What is with the buzzing? Love this show thanks for posting. I was 15 when this aired going on 16 in August that year.
This was my oldest brother's 19th birthday!!! :) :) :)
6th March 1989
hidden target rule is silly
I was 1 day old
I wonder when Kathleen Bradley first appeared on the show
December 1990
Actually May 1990
She became a permanent 'Barker Beauty' as of the Christmas 1990 episode.
Correct me if I'm wrong but is this the start of when bob cuts right into the first item up for bid rather than doing his Infamous monologues?

@@edwardsimmons3190 too bad,we didn't saw her face in that showcase where she was a mannequin along with dian
was this episode of TPIR where they introduce the Mannequin Showcase .....will someone comment on this, thanks
I think this the 1st and only mannequin showcase where Kyle is modeling ❤
I wonder if there's a perfect show with all 6 pricing games won, but double overbid in showcases when nobody won the showcase...
HOPE NOT
I WONDER HAS THERE EVER BEEN A EPISODE WITH A PERFECT SHOW ALL 6 GAMES WON PLUS A DOUBLE SHOWCASE WINNER.
That happened in 1982 and 2012 couples special
What's with the godawful buzzing noise?
3:07 what was that?
I like KCBS-TV
I think this is the 1st perfect show where kyle subs for janice
Was this the 1st playing of BULLSEYE with the new $10-$12 range?
