I just graduated from high school, when this aired. I use to watch this with my grandma. She is gone and this gives me good memories. I wish ,I could go Back and stay there.
This is the exact reason why i still watch this, I used to watch all these episodes with my Nona when i was growing up, im now 30, I wish I could go back.
@"Severn Crow", yes, back on Monday, June 12, 1989, "The Price Is Right" game show had Mr. Bob Barker(who's real 1st name's Robert) as its former host just as his previous studio announcer there was late Mr. Robert "Rod" R. Roddy!
3 days after I graduated from High School. Although I didn't see this cause I busy getting ready for Community College . Four years before I actually owned a Geo Metro ( I wished it was the LSI Model). Great show.
Rod Roddy makes an appearance @ 24:18, when he was asked about one of the members in the audience had if he had ever hosted a radio show in 15 cities, esp. in Dallas, Texas. He did.
I remember seeing a couple of December 1989 playings of Make Your Move! One had a loss that was signaled by a foghorn (like the one we heard on the 1990 To Tell The Truth when an audience member guessed wrong in the One On One segment). The other playing had a win that was signaled by some extremely different bells (a little higher pitched than the ones for a correct guess in Pathfinder).
5 out of 6 won, but ruined by a Double Overbid. That's a shame. I thought that Sunbird would've made that showcase total more than $14,000, but maybe it was because of the standard features. 26:04 Rod should've yelled "A NEW JEEP!!"
Wow, June 12, 1989 on the Price is Right they were doing so well after the 1st game was a loss came back with 5 straight winners and ended with a surprising double overbid, but at least it was good show that day.
Make Your Move is played for only the second time. Later this season it was played two times where one of the numbers was used twice. It was on on one of those playings. After those playings, it didn't appear again until the following season. Someone changing the numbers a second time in Switcheroo and not changing the car, and even changing the numbers with three right the first time, doesn't happen much.
Actually, no. It was actually pulled in December 1989 and returned in October 1990 with two three-digit prizes and one digit overlapping two prizes. This was confusing and after only two playings, the original rules returned.
Features a $195 and $793 heartbreaking overbid. Imagine if there was Two Painful Overbid (both of them in $250 range), that would be more painful than this one.
Stevern this episode aired September 19th 1989 season 18 1989 1990 season not the 1988 89 season season 17 June 12th the season finale aired on June 16th make your move is on the pricing game mix

The airdate of 6/12/1989 was my paternal grandmother’s 70th birthday!

One week after my graduation. An interesting year--went from high school to the Air Force that summer.
Same me. Class of 89. in College had no cable and used to watch this in the mornings between classes. Good memories. turning 50 now 👊
This is one of those episodes where they have a four digit and a five digit car...also the second winner in Make Your Move.

Make a correction on this episode: September 19th, 1989. And this IS the 2nd playing of Make Your Move.
So glad there was no old commercials.

No episodes should stay buried, but yet you still continue to do the same things over and over again when we tell you to stop.
@whatever 111 SHAFFER STFU
@whatever 111 No you will not, you'll be arrested and sent to jail if you keep this up, I really mean it.
@whatever 111 Well you're not going to get away with it anymore, because we're not impressed with your tactics.
Holly, Janice and Dian are the holy trio of models

The audience kept yelling “layette” which seemed like that they wanted me to Switcheroo with something else.
It would've been a perfect show if Cheryl had chose the dinette set instead of the microwave range as the most expensive prize.
Well, five out of six ain't so bad.
Happy Superman day
Bob barker & rod roddy
only the 2nd appearance of my favorite game, Make Your Move.
Also, who should I blame for the awful cropping of this episode? :D
@whatever 111 You're the one to blame for all of this because of your constant refusal to accept losses on the show.
neilrocks87 The Price is Right
He did awesome at the switcheroo!
Features a $195 and $793 heartbreaking overbid.
Imagine if there was Two Painful Overbid (both of them in $250 range), that would be more painful than this one.
I'm wondering... has anyone ever been called out but someone else ran down the isle? Literally never seen it but it must have happened.
John did excellent on switcheroo. 😀👍
Not quite.
42:06 Rod: This is Roooood Roddy speaking for the Price is Right. A Mark Goodson Television 📺 Production!
Is that the final playing of DICE GAME with the original set?
nextbarker 2 The Price is Right
If I read this correctly, the new Dice Game set debut 12-15-89.
I do believe this is the one and ONLY time any contestant ever got all 5 prizes right in Switcheroo in Price is Right history
I've seen someone get all 5 the first time
Lady named Patricia on TPIR Nighttime with Tom Kennedy got all 5 prizes right
Very rare!
@@marcmorganmcgarrett2133 nighttime doesn’t count unless it was with Bob Barker.
Can you reupload this episode in the the 4:3 Ratio please? There are certain things I cannot see in this cropped format.
@whatever 111 stfu Sean. There's an Arthur Godfrey show you might enjoy
Perfect Switcheroo.
Second attempt.
Bob Came Through Door No 1 Cause Most Expensive Blocked Door No 2

5 games out of 6 won and then a double overbid.
At least John won a new '89 Geo (now Chevy) Metro plus four additional prizes playing Switcheroo, and Kimberly won a new spa playing Now... or Then.
Not nice to give the game away boooo.
Boo for that ending.
😄😄
Those double overbid showcases made the contestants weep when they gone over.
Most Expensive: Loss
Switcheroo: Perfect playing (2 tries)
Barker’s Bargain Bar: Win
Make Your Move: Win
Dice Game: Win
Now Or Then: Win
Bob-You won the prize.
Lady-What is it? Lol
I can't believe the piano cost more than the car.
