When I dove in Cozumel there were GIANT Goliath Grouper, like 5-600lbs,,, just amazing... You got a hell of a catch there brother!!!

aka ..... " Jewfish " I've caught dozens in Collier County where i'm from.
In 1975 we spent the night fishing on our pier in Naples , using a Redfish head AND a Snook head on a 8" steel hook and using steel cable and a truck inner tube as a Snubber and chained to the end railing.
around 3:30am the WHOLE 26ft length of railing ripped off. Next day around sunset the tide had brought the railing and the 315+ pounder onto the rock jetty. I was 12 years old and my buddies and I Notorious forever more.
They rebuilt the railing and posted signs
