This is my favourite episode, I love hearing about the golf trip...I can really visualise it. I've been listening to these since 2006..............starting to get a bit sad when I listen now because of how long ago they were. I was 16 having the best summer of my life when Series 4 aired........I can't imagine a hangover day where I don't lay in bed all day being comforted by these shows
I'm 17 so I'm about the age you were during the summer you enjoyed. What was so great about the summer? I seen your comment and now I'm really intrigued lol.
@@coreymesham-pritchard1988 A lot of things really and it's gonna sound lame as fuck now when I type it out but.. we still had the group of 20-30 friends that you'd hang out with every day just down the park playing football or camping and drinking. Girls were always around and seemed to suddenly find me attractive and my confidence grew - first girlfriend and first heartbreak. A few pubs and bars were known for serving underage people so every Friday it was like a youth club only with beer and that was a LOT of fun. There were some boring days just sat at home on the computer on MSN messenger / Myspace all day but for the most part it was just a lot of fun. It was also still that early 2000s "Jackass" period where it was socially acceptable to be out in public doing silly shit with your pals. Basically to sum it up - lots of friends, lots of girls, going out and having fun with no responsibilities - and no smartphones or social media with people broadcasting everything. I think it's only years later when your life has changed you realise how special that time was. Sorry for the long essay here....how was your summer as a 16 year old?
It's that slight bit more funny coming from the former USSR knowing Babushka means grandmother He's right, I wouldn't accept a flirty letter from someone calling themselves grandma either.
Around 1:02:00 karl says another proper joke that I've never heard before. Steve is having a go at "ladder 49" saying that no one's ever seen it and karl goes "well they've made 49 of them" or something. Brilliant
I just noticed that at the end of the last "video", episode 2, one of the rockbuster answers was "Brave Harry", aka The Bravery, which is the band they play at the beginning of this episode.
I just LOVE how Ricky and Steve try to guess who the monkey is going to be in Monkey News, trying to tackle Karl on each step like a rugby player who at all costs is trying to reach the goal line. XD K: So these people are in a restaurant, havin' a lovely meal R: Is one of them short and hairy, totally covered from top to bottom in a space suit, so they didn't know it was a monkey? S: Is it one of the costumers? One of the waiters? K: (...)Can we just say we've had a lovely meal and that.. R: RIght, it's the chef...
I've got into the bad habit of going to sleep with these... I wake up in the morning with them still playing, and my dreams have become psychotic. Not recommended!
I feel hard on Steve in this episode, Steve has said in s1 he classes Ricky as a best mate/brother but he’s got to listen to Ricky and Karl’s weekend away
The 50p story always amuses me. Steve gets so annoyed with Karl deciding not to give him his 50p, "It's not your decision to make," yet he was perfectly fine with stealing 30 quid out of someone's bank account. Because he DECIDED that he deserved a reward for finding their bank card. 😂
I think one of the funniest things about these is Ricky saying something absurd to Karl and Karl just giving it the dignity of an answer. "Answer it, that could be Kate Bush!" "I know for a fact it isn't."

I would've loved to have seen Karl and Ricky playing golf
Haha same here. I wonder if Karl got a hole in one after being stung by a bee (that was 'angin' on like a stag beatle)! :o
It would've been An Idiot Abroad-like hilarity
I was laughing my ass off just hearing Ricky talking about it 😆
