When you draw the line to separate the photo you add a little curl. You could turn the curl on the toon side you could leave it as the original photo and video versa.
@Kailey Stolte I thought that too! And Millie is meaning like, in the little space inside the curl, have it reflect the opposite side of the picture. Inside the curl that's on the cartoon side, keep the real photo. And inside the curl that's on the real side, draw more cartoon.

Whats the deal with all the art youtubers using their artstyle to restrain themselves? Your artstyle Is in service of your art, not the other way around. Who cares if its not how you normally do it, experimenting is the way to improve and evolve.
Intelligent remark! I’m getting a bit tired of all the “find your style” pressure. Just draw however you like, your style will come in time. Try everything and every style, discard what doesn’t suit you, keep what does. Never let a notion of style stop you from evolving.
a lot of you tubers are known for their art style like lavendertowne, kacey, vexx, etc, so it’s understandable why she’d want to keep it as similar to her style as possible but yeah definitely in personal practice i think it’s super important to experimentation
Yess!!! I felt that all the time I was drawing. Storytime: I hate doing lineart. Like, actually, from the deep of my heart, hate doing lineart. And this day I was drawing the lineart and I thought : Why am I doing this??? Like, I don't need to. I was just doing lineart cause that's how everyone I follow in social media draws , so thats the "correct" way to draw. But that's not true!! My art style shouldn't be against me... I can mold my own style to what I enjoy and what I don't enjoy.
@@ender5892 YES! your art should never be a process you hate doing, struggling with a challenge is good of course, but the process itself should always be rewarding I had the exact same experience with lineart, ditched it in 2018 and haven't looked back since
I like it. I actually like it a lot. Your style is very distinct and represent as unique vision of the world. Gonna sound weird... but I compare it to Van Gogh. I study art history and have always been drawn to artists like Van Gogh and you since any camera can replicate the way the world exists. There is only practice and skill there... art comes not from replication... but in letting us see how YOU see the world. That's why I love your art. It is a glimpse into a wonderful and different way of seeing things. It's not only good... it's important.

A tip on doing lighting! :3 Try not to make the light white. Try a nice vibrant color usually blue, pink or orange. Then turn down the opacity. If you have a glow option use it, it’ll make it glow. If not desaturate the colors. :3 I hope this helps!
I was wondering what ipad/ tablet you use and is it just for drawing or can you use it for other things too and did the stylist come with the tablet or did you buy it separate and where can I buy these things. If your just using an app what app did you use?
