I love the fact that Chef Pepin is still cooking. I am a 67 year old chef myself and I still love cooking more than anything else, and it's fun to share the kitchen with my younger family members. Shorey reminds me so much of her Mum, because I remember the episodes when her Mum shared the kitchen with Chef Jacques!
My grandmother taught me how to make my first dish-French toast when I was seven. Decades later I still have the bowl and I think of her when I see Jacques and Shorey. Thank you for sharing such a nice video.
Shorey, I have watched you, your mom and Jacques, on the Create PBS channel for years. You sure have grown up. You're a beautiful young women. Loved watching you all. ❤
@@Kingfisher1215 Weekends should be having nowhere to go and no work needed to be done around the house or yard. Just rest, relaxation, and making great "easy", but good meals. That's my idea of a lazy Saturday. Of course, there is always something that needs to be done around the house LOL.
my mom watched his show and always bought his latest book (or we got it for her b-day). Now I know why. the few recipes I've watched have had lists of simple fresh ingredients, herbs...what a treat!
Looks great, I think I would have added a couple pats of butter. We used to cook potatoes and sausage and onions in the grill like this. Also fish with peppers and onions.
You have a beautiful family Jacques and you are blessed by God . That meal reminds me of when I was in boy scouts and we made a meal similar in foil and cooked near a fire outdoors . It was called a chuckwagon dinner . I hope you have many happy days and I thank you for all the videos you have made . I like watching your ideas , I'm not french , I live in Alabama and as a southern cook your recipes are fresh and inviting . Say hi to your lovely family and may God continue to bless each and every one of you . 😋
I've had the same sort of thing when camping and it was called "Girl Scout Stew'. Of course it is not a stew, and the women who made it were not Girl Scouts, if they ever were, but it was excellent food just the same.
@@WastrelWay There is just something about cooking your own food on a fire with others doing the same that makes it different than doing it alone . It tastes better too lol
Ah! Nice to see this upload - but the recipe and all that foil! Nice to see Shorey again - her mother I forget ?Claudine was a klutz in the kitchen but likely deliberate!! Very funny!
Jacques can even tear aluminum foil better than me 🙁 You could put anything in here. Your pajama? Classic grandpa line! LOL!!! Love the video! Thank you!
Oh, Shorey has such a bright and bubbly personality. Maybe a Grandad twosome teaching teenagers how to cook simple meals for themselves! Perhaps introduce a little elegant French. Also, kitchen safety. Good stuff.
I do something like that, with chicken thighs and less sausage, slice everything bite size (cooks faster) and when it comes from the oven, it's hot but ready to spoon out and eat.
I'm sure she knows lots more then see pretends to. She's cooked her whole life. To make a good show however she has to act like she's just now learning. She is a cutie.
One pan plan! I love seeing Shorey more grown up. She takes after her grandfather in the kitchen. Jacque's daughter Claudine not so much. I've loved the chemistry between Jacque and Shorey. Past episodes years ago with Claudine I would cringe. No disrespect to Claudine. I'm sure she's a wonderful mother and wife. I think Claudine's husband does more of the cooking than she does. XO
That's a lot of garlic!!!! 😮 All those sausages are full of garlic already!!!! That recipe doesn't need even more!! All the ingredients, except the meat, have soft flavors you can't taste because the garlic over powers everything. Sorry, Chef, I'll have to customize it 🤷🏼♀️

His grand daughter has the best teacher in the world. Master Chef Jacques.
I hope she soaks up all the knowledge he can give her like we have been for decades
@@SoleEpiphany True. Jaques daughter has a lit of his cooking knowledge.
She sure does.
I love how sweet and calm Mr. Pepin is, not a drama queen like Ramsay,
@@Lorethe2nd Ramsay, Fieri. Flay all have cooking game shows and cooking reality shows. They are in it for the money. Peppin would never do that.
So great seeing Shorey with Grandpa!!!!!!!! Like old times!!!
Wonderful to see Grandpa teaching his beautiful granddaughter. The world needs more of this
I love the interaction between M. Pépin and his Grand Daughter.
It's amazing that we got to watch her grow up as a little girl on his show. She has grown into a Beautiful young lady. Love the way she helps Grandpa.
If she can cook that well, she’ll have her pick of the litter 😅
Oooh, I never watch this cooking series with his granddaughter Shorey but this is very wholesome as him cooking with his daughter Claudine.
Thank you for a beautiful recipe. So happy to see you and your granddaughter cooking together.
My grandmother taught me how to make my first dish-French toast when I was seven. Decades later I still have the bowl and I think of her when I see Jacques and Shorey. Thank you for sharing such a nice video.
Those are the family interactions that are most cherished ❤
Not only are the flavours amazing, it saves you from having to clean the oven! Win! Win!
I love this recipe I make it often for my husband and son
I like the easy clean up too
Lovely video with his beautiful granddaughter
Thanks
Cooking with a bit of generational humor! Great video!!
Shorey, I have watched you, your mom and Jacques, on the Create PBS channel for years. You sure have grown up. You're a beautiful young women. Loved watching you all. ❤
Great stuff!!! So nice to see the generations together! The best !
Notice how well Shorey cut the chive and took the hot tray out of the oven with the towel folded with two hands like a pro.
Just wonderful. Reminds me so much of learning to cook with my grandparents in their rustic kitchen. The passage of wisdom, le sigh. . . .
Mon dieu! I've watched your family grow up through your programs, Monsieur! You are a lucky man.
Cooking and family love, the best ❤
I wish I had a grandad like jack growing up
A great video from a great chef made even better by cooking with his granddaughter. Thank you so much for sharing.
That looks like a perfect meal for a lazy Saturday afternoon. Thanks Jacques & Shorey
Does it have to be lazy? And what’s a lazy Saturday?

So fantastic to see! Makes me miss my grands.
Thanks as always Cbef! Looks sooo good. Easy prep and a HUGE reward!
This is so beautiful to watch. Both of my grandchildren, too, are good cooks... thanks for sharing..
Thank you, Chef and granddaughter!

Oh, the gustatory rewards that await after so little work. Thank you for illustrating this technique, Master Pepin.
Oh my! She looks exactly like him! What a treat to watch.
Poor girl. He’s a great guy, but not someone a girl would like you to look like.
She looks like a 90-year-old man?
I’m all for the one pan meals. I’m making this for a weeknight meal.
Shorey is so reminiscent of her mother when Jaques did the "Cooking with Claudine" series with her.
Looks great, I think I would have added a couple pats of butter. We used to cook potatoes and sausage and onions in the grill like this. Also fish with peppers and onions.
Shorey should do a new PBS show - “Weekend’s cooking with Grandfather“ !!!
She's very patient. Well done.
I've made this at least ten times. Never thought to eat with mustard. I will with the next batch. Maille Dijon mustard.
I make this a lot but have never done is en Papillote. Will certainly do it this way from now on.
Love it
Your Neta is growing up so fast. I've been watching your shows since before YT. Great teacher..
Omg she is not a kid anymore! This man sure adores his family.
Very creative! Looks wonderful!
Creative?

Just made this for dinner. Wonderful! Thank you, Jacques!
Once again, chives provide the French finishing touch in the Pépin kitchen. Happy cooking!
Fantastic cutting on the chives!
Just love this!😊
Oh yummy. I have to try that. It looks scrumptious!
Love this video now that I cook with my daughter
Now I know what I am making for dinner tonight!
I love this so full of stuff and things, ou la la!
Love this!
Very cute. she almost seems to be in the wayl😀
Would love to see a tour of Jacque's kitchen!
Awesome bruvs 😋👌🏽👍🏽...
Oh my!!!! Looks delicious!!!!!
yummy food master Jaques Pepin 👍🏼✍🏼
An nice idea and so flexible.

“Cocorico!” ❤
he does love those chives!

She is great kitchen help and one day may be as good a cook as grandpa!!!
Always leave it to Grandad, his pretty good at this. Bless her she's doing her best. 😂😂😅
Fantastic we do it all like that too🇺🇸❤️
Yummy!
She is so beautiful and delicate 😊
Good papi.
Looks like her mom😊
Cocoricoo 😂😂😂 ❤❤❤
This looks sooooo good! I'm going to make it this week! Isn't aluminum foil wonderful!
Wow! Is that the same little girl he used to smear chocolate on her nose???
Chef, may I ask, is there a way to remove or reduce salt that is in soup after it has been added? Would love any advice. You are amazing!
Addition of vinegar, tomato or lemon/lime should do the trick, I reckon.
I do something like that, with chicken thighs and less sausage, slice everything bite size (cooks faster) and when it comes from the oven, it's hot but ready to spoon out and eat.
love
Is the oven temp 400 degrees? The meals you prepare are so easy to do and tasty.
What temperature do you set the oven?
U can tell Jacques wants to do everything himself 🤣🤣
@JacquesPepin-b8i I will speak to the real Jacques, not a fake profile 😉
"Your pajamas?" 😂😂
Wow Shorey’s instagram sure is wild 😂😂😂
Cocorico!

Shorey looks a bit like her grandmother Gloria.
Add a few slices of sweet potato...
I just wish I could rip the foil that cleanly just by pulling on it.
She looks like her mother.
I can't believe you didn't cook her something chocolate, too. You KNOW how she loves chocolate.
It’s creepy that you know this.

oh hush. Claudine was and is tres charmante!
I saw shore in Augustine fl several years back. (. ( she was walking the family dog and I nearly ran her over , story short.
I would not want to be the sound guy on this shoot...that aluminum foil!
He doesnt take the casing off the kielbasa in this one
...also known as a Hobo Meal.
I love how she said “tin foil”. Old school…
Does SHE want to go in to the culinary arts?
Yes, Shorey is attending a culinary arts school for college.
Was that Claudine shouting "Cocorico"?
A dish that Napoleon would have loved. At the time aluminum was more precious than gold.
Does Shorey still like chocolate?
Stuff he didn’t like that
