I was lucky enough to see the japanese national team twice when they came to Germany the last two nations leagues. And from a pure technical standpoint, they are straight up ballers. Don't always get the results, but still awesome to watch, especially for shorter people like me, it's really motivating.
sanchez is absolute beast. Watching him set Middles from a really low contact point is so satisyfing, it looks at lot like a shoot to the outside because the arch is higher. And his location is perfect. Great video dude! Lets get this viral so you can afford a HD cam ;)
Great video! Sadly the truth about vertical jump is that it can't be sustained that long (short and long term). Often with 5 set games the shorter players tend to lower their vertical thus lowering their scoring chances. They're also prone to injuries due to the long-term load in practices and games. But the few who make it are extremely resilient and tough. The work that these guys put behind the scenes is admirable! Hats down
Would you consider using metric system alongside imperial one more often? At least on screen. Sorry but 5'7 or 6'5 doesn't mean a thing for me 😊 a line-up comparison scale was a nice touch but would appreciate if the metric system was always there on screen for the small part of the world that uses it 😉😉
my favorite undersized player is Moritz Karlitzek from germany. He's 191cm tall and a outside hitter. His spikes and blocks are just insanely good. He jumps so high that his size doesn't matter.
With my hand raised, it goes up to 7 feet and some are even higher than 7 feet in volleyball teams. But i managed to touch both hands up to 8.6 and thats when i am standing vertical.
Really liked your video I'm 1,83 and its though when you have to go against some 1.90 and higher. But is still manegable! You tend to be faster but you really have to train your jump. Still having a lot of fun playing dispite being "short" for volleyball 😅😉👌
I like verry much your videos.i'm from Bulgaria i think we have good vooleyball and exampale of short volley player is todor skrimov- 189sm . Great video. And yes the high isn't evrything but however volleyball is a game for tall people like basket and handball this are the games for tall people
In Bulgaria there are verry talanted players we have the "geens" for volley but , the federation is working only for the national teams our club volley is in not good condition also in Bulgaria you can't whatch club volley on tv.
when you mention that you think the top european leagues should give nishida a chance, do you mean as an opposite or outside hitter? since in the previous video on nishida, I think you mentioned that he should become an outside hitter if he wants to succeed at higher levels
Personally think Yamamoto is the better of the Japanese liberos but I would say Irans libero(cant remember his name) is pretty good too. P.s just discovered the channel and I plan to binge watch it later
I'm 4'10(1m49.8) Male at 18 tryna be a hitter. My vertical is at 40-41"(1m-1m12) on a running vertical and 33"(83cm) standing. Do I have a chance? (And yes, I watch Haikyuu alot.) 🤣

Pretty much the whole Japanese Team is undersized. Especially at the setter & Opposite positions. Extremely undersized. The most entertaining and inspirational team in the world by far.
@@fiveonevolleyball8112 oh thank you for that. but the thrill of watching live is the best. by the way thank you for the awesome videos. hats off to you.
Andrea Zanotti Is the best 193 cm middle in the world, he plays in Verona. Huge vertical, Fast as fuck on the Znak recieves, Great hands on blocking, killer float serve.

yup. awesome as ever, seen them play in vnl '18 and '19 and worldcup 2019 too in japan they really have impressive progress throughout the years.
The japan setter is like 5'10 and is good

great video.
Another 10cm and these guys would be ridiculous
Dude I play outside hitter and I am 5'11 too and I feel you man!
Short enough to be underestimated tall enough to still bang balls if you have a good vertical
