  • Have resistance bands? Here are some ways they can enhance your workout:
1.) They can make an exercise easier by providing assistance.
2.) They can make an exercise HARDER by providing resistance.
If you want to know more about the benefits of this, look up studies on "variable resistance." This is basically bands.
3.) They can target very specific muscles and movement patterns you may want to improve.
I sell them in my shop (I'll tag the product) BUT if you're confused:
-You don't NEED these. Harder and easier exercise variations have always worked fine, and will continue to work unless the laws of physics and physiology change.
-I worked with a supplier to make these slightly thicker than some other bands BUT you can likely get similar products elsewhere. If you don't live in the US, consider saving shipping cost by buying domestically.
    Hope this helps!

This is for those of you that recently got bands and are unsure how to best use them!
Please be careful. If they feel like they're overstretching, try using a different one or skip that variation.

Doing your progression exercises on one arm pullups, and alongside the archers and advanced one hand pullups, im gonna be doing actual one arm pullups but with a resistance band, since a couple bands come bundled with these gymnastic rings. i heard banded one arm pullups also help with building up to a one arm pullup! In that case, the 3rd part about using it to target small neglected muscles might help you the most. If you look up "resistance band face pulls" you can find an exercise that a lot of people find helpful!
Edit: It's worthwhile to note that some make the argument that face pulls shouldn't be done with bands for safety reasons. I've done them without issue, but I admit that there is validity to the warning.

For me personally, I went to a nearby playground and practiced on the monkey bars.
When it started to get a little inconvenient for me, I just asked my father-in-law to help me build a pull up bar since he's a carpenter. You can get most of the stuff at a Home Depot for a DIY pull up bar for relatively cheap, about less than $30 I would say.
From what I saw, it took him less than a few hours to put it together, but then again, he's been a carpenter for over 20 years so it may be difficult for people with no experience.
