@@DorrovianIt 100% does. Look at any other gacha and you will see how well hidden spoilers and future patches are from the community by the community. Most of them are at worst months apart, yet spoilers don’t appear from their games biggest CC. That includes Touhou LW, HI3rd, Arknights, Revue Starlight, Princess Connect and many, many more. It's just these games are not that big on story as FGO is.
@@Dorrovian Can you elaborate? Because there is a difference between information being easily accessible and the community and content creators spoiling it. In HSR for example, not only is Information accessible for the next patch due to leaks, but the CCs also have access to it in a program offered by the company. Even so there are measures in place so these things don't go out, yet that wouldn't matter if the community was actually hellbent on making content even faster. Meaning, and to add to my previous comment, it's not only the servers apart that are at fault for CCs making content of the game, but also the conditions FGO has (or better said hasn't) provided for their community. Also saying other games are not big on story like FGO is purely subjective. FGO had some highs yes, but it also has some really big lows and this inconsistency is not that apparent to other industry standard gachas which actually are consistent. I'm not even going to talk about the difference in story presentation and the time it takes till they release new chapters as that is night and day.
@@alexandrunache9078 I think we are talking little around each other, yes, other games I played didn't have content creators as obnoxious with spoilering people with thumbnails and titles as FGO does. Whelp like you mentioned to me on social medias I guess looking at characters is safe for now but all of these guidelines are just absolutely INSANE to me. The thing that I'm wondering about is if this move by Lasengle was considered after reading all of the results from surveys? I'm not sure on how things look in the JP side and I can only speak for myself, but whenever I'm asked on where I hear news or watch FGO related content I always answer non-official UA-cam channels. I wonder how this will affect content creators making things for the NA side of FGO? As someone who used youtube to help in more difficult CQ's cause I'm too lazy to read lots of texts, I'm VERY worried that I'm going to have a hard time in the future.
Seriously, if it just latest content and ask to not spoil for weeks or month I would understand But LB5? That already a year for EN and years for JP Streamers couldn't really do any content like that, most of them even do live on day 1
The Main problem is that Story recaps help new players progress faster without feeling like they are going to miss context for new events, I could see them try to make it one or two months ban, but the fact that it is LB 4 that can be released SUCKS I mean it wouldn't be as engaging if people can't see the visuals but I guess story recaps can be like a podcast....
Reminds me of early PS4 generation when so many games had sharing features disables streamers were getting copyright strikes to hell. It’s disappointing but not surprising to see them go back to this.
This is just baffling. Completely backwards to muzzle everyone for a few people who can't control themselves and curb their social media usage. It's on _us_ as the player to control what we see. I'm still pre-LB6, but guess what? That's on me! Avoiding spoilers for anything beyond where I am is MY responsibility. The most creators need to do imo is just not put blatant spoilers in the thumbnail and title.
What's even the point of this? To avoid spoilers? Do the Devs not know that Western Players play JP and spoil the latest story chapters all the damn time? This seems like a pointless (and mean-spirited) middle finger to content creators who are literally FREE advertising for the game. Talk about shooting yourself in the foot.
I could understand telling content creators not to show the cutscenes and dialog but to not show gameplay is absurd. Most of it is just running the same nodes over and over again and the event farming nodes especially often have nothing to do with the story of the event anyway.
Lol, OC2 Gudao face. 😅 Speaking of OC2, with these guidelines in mind, I'll probably not know when (or IF) a certain group of characters are ever coming back in the story.
My main FGO content I upload is my story playthroughs but until I start seeing Sony actively hitting videos of people’s playthrough’s I’m not too worried since commentary should absolutely be protected by fair use right? I know Sony/Aniplex also had similar guidelines for the Tsukihime Remake and Mahoyo but full length playthroughs of those games still exist on UA-cam. Only thing I’m actually slightly worried about is soundtrack copyright, because UA-cam’s handling of that with gaming is so bad, if there’s even a hint of a copyrighted song in the background of a game you’re playing the entire video will be taken down so hopefully the developers can at least get that across to the higher ups at Sony/Aniplex. If the OST became copyrighted it’d be a complete nightmare for creators 😅
@@henriqueabreu9706right, but UA-cam is based in America and if I’m not mistaken we get fair use applied because of that don’t we? I’m not super familiar with how the back and forth of international laws would work here so forgive my ignorance.

Yeah, sadly guidelines beat copyright laws since it’s telling people how to use their property. Meaning people that don’t listen to them have no excuse since they made rules about them. Still stupid and low effort from them.
This is just insane, the proper way would be that you are not allowed to show anything of the current event or chapter until 48 to 72 hours have passed. As for the weird registration of old chapters I think is more for NA, since right now we are doing the road to seven campaign, after all is no secret and even Albert had been very vocal that they hate that na has that 2 years of insight in for future content. Hopefully they don't add new things in the future.
So they just wanted to one up their F**k up with the servant coins and head straight to screw the people who "technically" do their free advertisement of the game while the said people also spends money and the time to play the game. That's one hell of away to ruin the reputation of the game. If their only concern about is spoilers of the story, sucks to suck but, the "majority" of the reason I watch FGO CCs is because of the Battle Gameplay, How the new Servant works and Strats. and plus I'm a dumbass when it comes to reading the japanese langauage, the FGO CC's help with understanding some of the story and the new mechanics of the game as well.
Looking at the dates, at least with lb7 in mind, I wonder if this put in place with with english version in mind, as shown in the livestreams when they get annoyed at our clairvoyance on future content, so they are trying to minimise what jp content is getting put out in the wild. not sure how i feel bout that, as the way it is at the moment lets me look forward to what's coming up and plan for the future.
No, from other people have said it's because JP players were feed up with global content creators spoiling story hours after release, before they were even able to see it for themselves. So they complained and Sony did correct thing, but made too strict limitations.

@@MrArrino Again, you can get spoilered without searching for content by thumbnails and titles made by many content creators. This is on them, not on someone who went to see if there is something new on anything else on YT.
I suspect this is related to how flustered fgo fans claimed to feel about if it was possible or not to catch up. They do not want to do that and I know some of us gave ideas on how that could be done and theorized about it, but I don’t see that happening in a very long time, unless they make it a thing to work on that. Mystic eyes EX or whatever it was called, is done, that era is going to be a bygone thing.
Content creator is one of the top place for the community to talk about the franchise. Creators are also the one place who hype up the community. Take that away, people honestly would slowly but surely leave the game. What are they trying to get with this really
They DO realise this isnt pre-covid era where FGO was king of gacha right... They DO know that they have been de-throned by Mihoyo for like 4 years right... They are literally killing the Legacy players (which is basically the majority of the players still left)
The bulk of the playerbase (and of revenue) of the game comes from Japan. Aniplex aren't hurt by Hoyoverse games since they have very different target demographics and is still generating more revenue than the vast majority of mobile gachas. The one you should be worried about specifically is FGO NA.
This is pretty crazy, i can understand not wanting people to be spoiled if that's one of there reasons for doing this but at the same time it's very easy to avoid spoilers by just not watching gameplay streams and videos of the jp version unless there's spoilers in thumbnails which is pretty annoying, it is your fault anyways if you go out of your way to watch gameplay of the jp version when you know there's a high chance you will get spoiled, such a shame what sony is doing.

That's because September 1 unlocked in-game content up to and including LB4 (previously LB3) as far as guideline-legal content goes. October 1, that restriction is relaxed further, up to and including LB5.
Everyone saying this is to avoid spoilers are valid for thinking that. But then they put out saying that you can post videos and streams of the corresponding story chapters starting next month.
Looks like Aniplex wants to kill FGO now for FGO2(copium) 😂 But seriously, this is what happens when the higher ups of a company are old people on a market that contains coomers as the consumers. I swear, Japanese gacha game companies are so behind in times.
Well according to what I have heard if you delete a video it can potentially still get a strike. If it's deleted you can not contest it so private is the best option.
I get they want to avoid spoilers for later stuff but this is kind of ridiculous imo. I’m guessing the next coming chapters in JP must be so huge that they don’t want any sort of spoilers coming out.
This is incredibly minus. I'm not even a content creator, but I often record my high difficulty quests and the boss battles to share them with friends and fellow FGO players in my own smaller communities to discuss gameplay, minturns, theme runs etc. Not being able to share the performance of my servants in relevant content is incredibly dismaying.
To be fair, FGO JP content are not supposed to be put out to global "yet". Of course they can't just out right to demand NA side not allowed to streaming this, it can cause a heavy backlash instead. If you do aware, there incident that forcing qooapp to delete everything related to FGO because the promotion content was supposed for JP not global.
I can understand wanting to put the kibosh on people posting Story related spoilers for content that hasn't come out in NA yet or is still even relatively new for JP. However events that have clear requirements other than Fuyuki (So you mean basically everything nowadays?) and stuff like *Bond CEs*? What the hell kind of nonsense is that.
They're either try to kill hype for their game or rank down the international versions clairvoyance. This is insane the only thing this will accomplish is stopping international player from learn how abhorrent they speed of game update be new story chapter or events
WAIT... STREAMING TOO????? What in the actual fuck are they thinking??? They keep making more bad business practices since the stoppage of re-run events. They ruined the expectations of the anniversary, the summer event, and the excitement of animation updates, and now they plan to ruin creators from playing their game online?
I agree i think its bad. I can understand them saying hey until its out on global you cant cover the story on that part because the worst thing is when you see a thumbnail that is a clear spoiler. I also think events are fine because if you havent done an event you cant read it anyways so i dont think its a problem especially for older events which they dont have any plans to bring back.
I wonder why don't they just limit how content creators make fgo content without giving too much spoilers. I mean, they could just give cc permissions to stream the content after a week or two, and only limit to streaming. This is basically append skill fiasco all over again
The fact that the potential for spoilers can cause some JP players to throw tantrums like children is pathetic, honestly. Even more pathetic is the devs listening to that minority of people who are clearly so attached to the game they would never stop throwing money at it. The only thing this does is hurt content creators and the community at large. If you don't want to be spoiled its really easy unless you're online 24/7 with no life(which I suspect is the case with these people) so screw em. Hopefully content creators figure out something cause I'd hate to see all the effort and passion so many of them put into their channels go down the drain
What's next to KuSony? Banning those who played JP server thru VPN? If that happens, I'm uninstalling the game for good. Especially that I'm slowly into retirement phase of playing games, watching videos, everything.
Besides the story mode and events, what else is there to do in the game? In other gacha games, this would be bad, but in FGO, it’s even worse. At least in other gacha games, you have different game modes and other features to create content with. FGO doesn’t even have a story replay option, so basically, content creators in the endgame will have to either whale out and spend money to generate gacha content or create multiple secondary accounts to replay old stages. It’s insane!

If they were concerned about NA being spoiled, maybe, just maybe.. they should've made the games as close to each other as possible. Instead of making NA waiting 2 FRICKING YEARS APART.
Servers being apart doesn't have any effect on the fact that content creators spoil content for JP players.
@@DorrovianIt 100% does. Look at any other gacha and you will see how well hidden spoilers and future patches are from the community by the community. Most of them are at worst months apart, yet spoilers don’t appear from their games biggest CC.
In Fgo not only do you have to deal with a lack of content due to no endgame or story (since it takes months to years for main story chapters to come), but you’re also dealing with a game that is so hard to manage that unless you have 2 years of content in advance you will not be prepared to pull who you want. That’s why the wiki is literally an extension to the game.
PS: The whole JP players being spoiled by NA is stupid since JP players also made content on OC3 and anything in between to LB5. This is obviously elitism and it’s not hard to tell. JP players complained hard when we got something they didn’t a while back, even though they get “QoL” 2 years earlier (another massive problem with the servers being apart “ They just like to play favorites when it suits them
@@alexandrunache9078 I have no idea what you are about, all gachas I have played which had time gap between servers had easily available informations about future content.
But that's on person, not on server gap.
As per story, I didn't mean FGO is the best one (even I think that, with HI3rd, HSR and Another Eden as next best), but that for FGO story is much more important part of overall package than for other games.
Whelp like you mentioned to me on social medias I guess looking at characters is safe for now but all of these guidelines are just absolutely INSANE to me.
Guess they just don’t want us streaming their game. I think most other FGO creators will just go, “Fine, there are other games.” And that will be that.
For those that don’t know, summer 8 spoils LB6 yet requires only Fuyuki to experience.
By their own rules it’s ok to spoil major characters and bosses from LB6 but … not spoil major bosses and stuff from LB6.
Yeah that tracks.
I guess they could not wrap their heads around what free advertisement they’ve had until now.
All I know is if FGO ever gets another Arthurian Legend chapter no way no how they're gonna stop me from yapping about it and posting a vid about it
Ready your rant essay.
I mean. The game icon is Artoria. One of the main characters is Galahad Mashu.
We haven't seen King Arthur(male)'s end of journey yet. Playable Agravain? Palamedes? Galahad Alter? I'm almost sure there's gonna be one more arthurian legend chapter. If not, there should be a new chapter where some arthurian legend characters appear.
Enjoy the copyright strike then.
i dont care, ill upload the spoilers if nobody does

What was the point of these guidelines generally? In what way is something like showing a craft essence bond breaking their bank somehow?
It's basically to prevent spoilers
@@kitasean they can add a feature to the game to obscure them.. they want global dead.

If not for content streamers I literally would have never picked up this game. This is typical SONY nonsense from as long as videogames have been around.
I thought Concord's fumble was enough for Sony to learn from their mistake. But it seem i underestimated them
This is a nightmare even for me as a figure UNBOXER!!! As I use their soundtrack and some animation to decorate my videos. So they are not allowed now? All my videos revolve on these. Those makes my channel unique! Gosh, this is terrible!!!!
As I commented in similar videos. If they start to hit informational content and sites. I'm out.
Its a massive overkill. Limiting the movies and such is one thing, but you will just curbstomp interest like this.
Watch this start to affect their stocks in the game they are going to hit the uno reverse button so hard they're going to pretend this never happened and sweep it under the rug. I know this is wishful thinking, but it's better to think positive for now and to wait and see how this will play out for now.
No, if anything JP welcomes the new changes. It's only the entitled American content creators that are upset.

@@cameraredeye3115 Respectfully, not all of JP welcome these changes. Also, do you have a problem with those guidelines? Cuz I distinctly remember you commenting under a OC3 story chapter.
@@alexandrunache9078 Nope. Real person here.
@@thedragonoftheuchiha I'm one of few who doesn't.
It’s hard enough getting people to be interested in FGO since it’s daunting as a gacha game, now they are doing everything in their power to kill interest in the game. It’s super out of touch with the community.
Not really surprising considering what japanese fans had to say about nintendo suing pocketpair. Japanese love their original ip and will support them no matter how detrimental it is to everything else, even to themselves.
“How to ruin public interest in your own game in 1 easy step!”
I swear this is the dumbest thing they’ve ever done. And they’ve done a LOT of really stupid shit. Like the new appends without initially giving a way to get more. And this is somehow even stupider than that for their own game.
Seriously, if it just latest content and ask to not spoil for weeks or month I would understand
But LB5? That already a year for EN and years for JP
Streamers couldn't really do any content like that, most of them even do live on day 1
The Main problem is that Story recaps help new players progress faster without feeling like they are going to miss context for new events, I could see them try to make it one or two months ban, but the fact that it is LB 4 that can be released SUCKS I mean it wouldn't be as engaging if people can't see the visuals but I guess story recaps can be like a podcast....
Most of it is just running the same nodes over and over again and the event farming nodes especially often have nothing to do with the story of the event anyway.
this gonna hurt community that reads plays fgo JP that skips story and im one of them because i skip the story because i cant read japanese
Lol, OC2 Gudao face. 😅
Speaking of OC2, with these guidelines in mind, I'll probably not know when (or IF) a certain group of characters are ever coming back in the story.
In Japan there's no such thing as fair use. Anything can be a copyright infringement basically.
@@henriqueabreu9706right, but UA-cam is based in America and if I’m not mistaken we get fair use applied because of that don’t we? I’m not super familiar with how the back and forth of international laws would work here so forgive my ignorance.
@@MaximizingLIVE It's not just Japanese copyright laws you have to contend with now. Because of Sony's new FGO content guidelines, not even "fair use" is an applicable defense anymore.
At least servant reviews are not affacted, but the best dummy for testing is mobs in x-a Fuyuki, like jp CC do.
@@Dorrovian Bro, I am global player thus two years behind and up till now with I managed to avoid most spoilers (the biggest one I didn't avoid was Oberon, but well... his class is one big spoiler so it was something unavoidable, yet I didn't know his full involvment in LB6 story, so no fuss) and those guys cannot avoid spoiler for few hours?
@@MrArrino So you got spoilered on biggest reveal of LB6 and somehow you are avoiding spoilers? That's big cope, your post is only argument in favour of that ban.
@@Dorrovian the only thing I knew was that he is pretender and doing something behind the scenes, thing that was heavily hinted in whole LB6 story. I didn't know that he was Vortigern, I didn't know that Morgan will be murdered so early in the story, I didn't know about Cennuros, and I didn't know that Oberon will change into big bug. If this is biggest spoiler of the LB then sure, I was spoiled terribly.
The thing is (unlike JP players) I am 2 years behind. And If I have to wait 2 fricking years for game to catch up I will use clairvoyance to plan my rolls, spoilers or not.
But here we are talking of few hours gap and guys who for some reason are watching streams and game plays of content available for them instead of playing this content :)
@@MrArrino Again, you can get spoilered without searching for content by thumbnails and titles made by many content creators. This is on them, not on someone who went to see if there is something new on anything else on YT.
This is just annoying, if that the case might aswel play and stream other games than fgo.
If they do not want spoilers, they need to basically shut down any story discussion on comments and reddit
I suspect this is related to how flustered fgo fans claimed to feel about if it was possible or not to catch up. They do not want to do that and I know some of us gave ideas on how that could be done and theorized about it, but I don’t see that happening in a very long time, unless they make it a thing to work on that. In the meantime we’ll have to do with being two years behind and being in the dark until they « release » stuff for NA as a surprise.
I wonder if they’ll do some kind of contracted influencer streamer program in the future so they can control information…
So this is how Soyny wants to do this... Maybe I should just drop.
The Japanese brought upon this civil war
This is literally a bad news for fgo content creators and others advance guides and stuff so it's not just for the hype of the game itself but no theu literally kill the game itself for the content and s***
From what Radiant-Hope-469 wrote on Reddit, the limit is going to expand monthly and "By December 2024, the banned quests are Interludes, Ordeal Call Main Quests and Olga Marie Quests. And not Fuyuki-locked events."
FGO, the game that I love but I can't support.
Just when I thought of trying it out for the first time, love copyright woo!!!
They keep this up and it will kill the game with the rate they release stuff typically.
Ok so hear me out...... CLOSE THE 2 YEAR CONTENT GAP!!!!! thats the simple solution to this that will hurt no body and actually bring the game back to NA players who left for JP
:l it wouldn't bring the players back. It would kill the game faster.
Speedrunning like that causes burnout
Just accept it, they will never close the gap. Never. They have been very clear about this. If you don't like it (like me) just quit and maybe come back once the story is over.
@aizeroth8858 then this decision will most like slowly kill the game, other gacha games r innovating faster then fgo and eventually the story can't save this game. Sooner or later nasu is gonna haft to get to the point, the story is already going down hill atm so......
@@kingsora3087 FGO is indeed a sinking ship, I don't see any hope of saving it with the mindset the devs/managers at Lasengle/Sony have. That's why im quitting after LB7 despite being a hardcore player for 5 years.

2:10 - That part seems dependent on whether FGO's Lasagna bothered to even update this document as the 'Updated' date is September 1, 2024 and strangely not a much later date in September.

Document Update Date: 9-1-2024 (0:10)
KitaSean's concerns: 2:10
That's because September 1 unlocked in-game content up to and including LB4 (previously LB3) as far as guideline-legal content goes. October 1, that restriction is relaxed further, up to and including LB5.
This is the dumbest shot in the foot they ever gave themselves.
This is bad for FGO. I mean, let's face it. It's not the best gacha game to stream right now. But I guess, It doesn't matter to them.
It seems you can show High Difficulty Quests tho, even Events and blank earth ones.
Everyone saying this is to avoid spoilers are valid for thinking that. But then they put out saying that you can post videos and streams of the corresponding story chapters starting next month.
Looks like Aniplex wants to kill FGO now for FGO2(copium) 😂
But seriously, this is what happens when the higher ups of a company are old people on a market that contains coomers as the consumers. I swear, Japanese gacha game companies are so behind in times.
This is Crunchyroll all over again bruh.
Is this the synchronized intelligence nation?
They really hate their fanbase i see.
Bro, that’s rough for FGO JP content creators. At least NA is safe. 😅
What's next to KuSony?
Banning those who played JP server thru VPN?
If that happens, I'm uninstalling the game for good.
Especially that I'm slowly into retirement phase of playing games, watching videos, everything.
What am curious is why did jp players specificially report these?
Besides the story mode and events, what else is there to do in the game? In other gacha games, this would be bad, but in FGO, it’s even worse. At least in other gacha games, you have different game modes and other features to create content with. FGO doesn’t even have a story replay option, so basically, content creators in the endgame will have to either whale out and spend money to generate gacha content or create multiple secondary accounts to replay old stages. It’s insane!
Guess they hate money
maybe this restriction is for the NA player who are still far behind?
but still, interlude is prohibited??? why???
Ok but why though? It at least makes some sense in the case of persona where they make money by selling the story. What is the point here?
The JP mindset is on a whole other level when it comes to boot licking. If this hits the states, someone better sue sony.
I kinda support it too, you JP players are too comfy spoiling stuff, Ive been avoiding lb7 spoilers like the plague and I've clicked on one of your vids and had something spoiled before when it wasn't even related to lb7
