Pretty card Vianney! And if you want to avoid the curling when you remove card stock from the mats, turn the mat over and start rolling the edge of the mat off the paper. You can peel the card stock away from the mat as you roll it backwards and the cardstock stays flatter and you avoid a lot of the curling.
Thanks for the tip! I recall that the mats for the Explore were like super sticky and that was an issue people had complained about...I think that's why I got especially horrible curling! This wasn't too bad, but if I notice crying I will try your tip.

Great tutorial! I cant wait to get mine. I'm here in Michigan and mine is still "packaging". I dont have a dedicated craft room. I've got an Expression, but never use it because I gotta pull it out, put it back. So the Joy is perfect for me.
Hi, Carla! I like this little guy just for that reason. I love my Expressions more than any of the newer machines I have, but I never lug it out and don't have room for it to just be sitting out. I used to scrapbook a lot more but now that I make more cards and small projects...the Joy works well for me!
Loving this little machine, can not wait to get mine. I have the Explore, but hardly use it any more. Having the Joy and using my IPhone with it is perfect for me!
I hope you do like it, the next tutorial I will release tomorrow was a real challenge for me. That's just because I have refused to use Craft Room/Design Space. Oh, my...what fun it was! LOL!!

You can fine the image cartridge that has the papers in the patterns tab. If you call cricut they can show you how to get them. I had to do the same thing.

Design Space is not my fave, but I'm going to have to use it if I keep the Joy. What do you mean you "upload" your projects?
I buy printables and upload them to Design Space and cute them out.

What is a good card stock to use?
It made a cute card front. The only thing I don’t like is the 4 corners showing the slits. I guess I am old school, crank the Big Shot.

Ms. Vianney, I tried your technique but now I'm confused. if I use a folded card as an insert I could not open when I placed the fold end in the slots. However if I use the card as a front I can attach it to a base A2 card. Was that the purpose
Ys. This was just to make a card from that will then be attached to a card. Just in case someone does;t have the "card mat" that they sell. TY!

I'm currently a stay at home mama, so I do have a whole day (almost) to myself! I try and do most chores, etc...over the weekend when everyone is home so I can maximize my alone time during the week!! (:

Absolutely! Especially if you have several colors to work with.
