- LG has created a brand new device: LG G8X ThinQ! This device allows you to do SO MUCH.

here's a tip I don't know if people know, on your second screen if you don't want to always pull up the bubble menu to turn the screen on/off, you can just do the knock on or double tap the screen and you can turn it on/off. no more pulling down the menu.

I just got this phone and the Dual Screen and love it. I was also afraid that it would be too heavy and bulky but those fears were unfounded. I would like to point out that there is a way to get wide mode in almost any app and not just Chrome. There is an app in the store called G8X WideMode that will allow any app to use wide mode.

Loved your vid as I have had the g8x for 2 days now in Chicago. Now I am super excited since you went thru real world situation's and how it would be used daily. I can't thank you enough since you made me feel like upgrading from the v30+ was the right choice. LG is 🔥🔥🔥don't sleep on them. I went with no case on my v30 for 16 months and i dropped it so many times n got it wet countless times n it gave me zero issues. I am going to pamper my new g8x for it's lifetime. Michelle my flagships had always been samsungs but your keeping me woke to LG. Glad they have such awesome ppl repping the brand too they are truly blessed to have you.

LG flagship devices all have military standard and IP 68 so that is why you were able to drop it and got it wet.

The Sprint representative was almost surprised when I walked in the store and asked for the LG device over the more expensive Samsung one with the same processor. Love my LG G8, never lags and the software has been great so far.

FYI there is a third party app called G8x wideview on play store. With that you can open almost all the apps in wide view - whatsapp, instagram, twitter etc. I have been using this phone for 5 days now and it's so much fun !

Now that's how u fully review a mobile not like others who just open few boxes and tell us the specs which we can read on internet easily.
One thing LG needs to work on is how they advertise these dual screens. Because you have to buy the phone separate ( through carriers)and it takes almost two months to get your dual screen. Then when you try to contact LG you get the run around because they keep sending you to the promotion Department who gives you vague email responses. When LG does promotions need to add the dual screen and it is very ridiculous when LG doesn't even have the dual screen on there website. I have the LG G 8x and I just got my dual screen after almost 2 months, now I have to wait longer for the mastercard. Now when I asked about the LG V60 dual screen LG customer support said they don't even sell it online at their website yet. LG definitely needs to clean up their advertisement and promotions because you will lose customers by giving them a partially functioning phone and not even offer the accessory on your own website. Getting a LG dual screen phone nowadays is like getting a Galaxy Note 10 but you have to wait two months for the S-Pen to ship to your home

Or did you mean wide mode? - for wide mode, go into your browser and then you’ll see a floating icon (dual screen setting bar), you can toggle wide screen and you’ll have extended screen on both screens

@@Baybe828 I received the phone and have been using it about a week now and really like it. I am still learning about everything it can do. I like that while other phone makers are taking options away like the sd card and headphone jack that LG tries to offer more options. The review was great because it emphasized what the features and what the phone can do. Practically every top tier Android phone in 2019 has about the same specs. The features are what differentiates the phone from others. Good luck in your career.

God damn! I want to buy the phone so much. LG recently launched the phone in India with 703$ usd. But paying that much money when the phone won’t be updated. Otherwise would have got it. Also the quad dac is such a big winner for me personally.

I like the lg g8x but from the videos I seen it doesn't do dual wide screen video. Like one video covering both screens
Derrick F, you are able to do wide view only when you’re on browser. So if you would like to watch UA-cam on wide view (expands to both screens), you’ll have to go through chrome and type in UA-cam.com in order to activate it! The hinge does cut off the video a bit so not everyone thinks it’s ideal, but you do have the option to do so! I hop that answers your question :)

i want to know is that beside the feature is that can you answer the incoming call even the dual screen is close?.. Imean not opening all the time when answering the phone just to clarify
and also can you play something like spotify if you fold the phone 360? especially when the phone flip to other and close the screen will it stay playing the music?

MarkieVloriA hi, yes you can pick up the calls when the screen is closed. Just simple press the google assist button on the side of the phone and you can easily pick up the call. There is also a cut out on top of the display screen, so you don’t need to open your phone while speaking :) hope it helps!
Also, the music will keep playing as well until you pause it, just like how most phones Spotify still plays even your screen is locked.

Can you use two apps on one screen when both displays are in use? Like, one app on the right and two on the left? And does the stock keyboard have any cursor control functionality? I feel like a trackpad between the split keyboard would be amazing for getting some documents typed on this.

banson6G2 Im so sorry I’m not sure when it will launch there, as my understanding every region launches different models too depending on the target market. I think Asia also has the V50 which is also dual screen! Hope this helps
It won't be sold in the Philippines. LG stopped selling phones and are more focused on appliances. They still sell it on other countries tho like HK, south Korea of course and such.

James Aron yes, you’ll need to use LG Keyboard to enable the smart keyboard function on the second screen! Hope that helps
@@Baybe828 Yes, thanks for the confirmation. I am concerned about that. I much prefer using the Hacker's Keyboard app over anything else, factory default or otherwise. It would be great if I can get it to work on the second screen. Hate to lose the home, end and delete keys!
if the next version of this can shrink the dark bezel area between the 2 screens by a significant amount then it will sell like hot cakes
That would be great if they did that but the phone looks very useable and really great as it is now but shrinking it would be even better.

Joel Marrero there’s a gaming looking icon, toggle that first and then you’ll see a controller looking icon, toggle that and the game pd should show up! Lemme know if it works :)
@@Baybe828 i dont have the gaming icon like you show in the video the only way i was able to activate it was by opening the game and then using a small tab that opens it
Pretty sure that keyboard is the LG one and not the Google one which kinda sucks cuz you can customize the Google one with a background of your choice. Minor issue but still cool.
