Amazon sells stacks of CDs online that have more durable quality than low quality Walmart CDs he's in the wrong place of business and will thank me later.
I bought a $70 Motorola android some years ago. I meant it just to play music but it really is top notch as far as the usual stuff. Everything worked 100% without lag. Made a great temp phone, and now it's being used as the remote and screen for my Dji drone. Mid-tier androids can really have you questioning why you'd ever spend more than a couple hundred for a smartphone ever again.
I have a Moto G5 that's been playing audiobooks for years now. I first used it for its camera, which was s**t, but in an artsy way, and I was using this crazy app called Open Camera to weird up a bunch of otherwise ordinary photos. I love that phone, for all the stuff it did for me, and is still doing.
I got a Moto G Play in 2021 and i dailied it for a little while, and I loved it. The battery life was legitimately better than my Pixel 6 pro and even my iPhone 16 pro. It ran COD mobile surprisingly well, and it's still holding up relatively well today. The newer G Play is actually a downgrade, since they moved to a pretty crap Mediatek from the Snapdragon in the 2021.
30 dollars for a secondary phone that serves it's basic purpose of being a phone is great, actually. This would easily go for 80+ euros in my country. I usually only find these low tier phones at 60+ euros where I'm from and they perform way worse than this.
I know it's a bloatware mess meant to sell a subscription and all, but still. This thing has significantly better hardware than my family PC had growing up in the early 2000s. For $30. In 2024. We've come a long damn way pretty fast.
It's pretty neat, low end budget phones are actually usable phones now. Yeah, they're still a laggy mess, but they do what they need to do, given the low price. You wouldn't be able to find stuff like this often, even like 5 years ago
What is great about a phone like this is that in an Emergency , you can get a phone for 30 dollars and it will work... Not everyone is going to run 1080p videos or play video games. They are going to use the phone and text.
I think the lag in UA-cam is when apps are actually being installed. It runs videos smoothly while the apps are being downloaded, and actually lag when the app is being installed. I have this same issue with my Samsung M34 (not as much, but definitely noticable)
12:15 Bruh, I remember wanting to play goat simulator so bad when it first came out and my laptop at the time BARELY being able to muster up double digit fps, the fact a modern 30 dollar shovelware burnerphone can play it better than that is insane to me. Also kinda funny that goat simulator also appeared to run better than your game lmao
When content creators compare sizes, I almost never have the thing they compare it with. But I actually have a Pixel 8a phone, so I finally have an idea of how big this el cheapo smartphone is lol
Ahh Tracphone. I used to buy their under $20 smartphones 10 years ago. Great price back then for a fully functional android device to play around with. I think I still have a sealed one in my storage unit. The refurbished ones on their website were even cheaper.
Of course they were all 3g only phones do you didn't have to buy a separate SIM card. And sometimes I did have to buy the cheapest $5 airtime card to even order a refurbished unit. Still was only like $7 for the phone itself.
fun fact: you can stop lag from slowing down the speed of geometry dash by turning off "smooth fix" in the settings so instead of the speed changing and the sync getting messed up when you lag, it just skips frames and stays synced
Honestly for 30 bucks this is better then a phone i got for 200 in 2016 I feel like with a better version of dolphin and some tweaked settings (alongside a better optimized game) this would do pretty okay
I think the apps which were getting installed were not from Play Store these phones have their own app stores which keep on installing these apps you can disable them to prevent installing and it will reduce the lag too
I actually bought the blue view 4 last year for 30 dollars, and have been using it while at home to not always be on my main driver, wearing the battery. The phone works perfectly fine! I've spent more for two people at fast food then I did on the phone, and I use it at least every other day for UA-cam, Facebook, discord messaging etc
its the almost all of human knowledge in the palm of your hand for the price of a few shirts or a couple days of groceries the fact you can even run portal on it is amazing
I think because they are downloading preloaded programs. Thats why this phone can be $30. Once the download is done, just delete everything you don’t want. I think it may go faster
Even just being able to watch 480p UA-cam videos for $30 with a headphone jack makes it worth it. I listen to a lot of audiobooks and listen to name UA-cam videos with the screen off. The lack of a jack on most brand name phones means these cheap devices are a refuge for the 3.5mm jack.
Those cheap Tracfones make nice mini-tablets on Wifi. Now I gotta go look for one so I can have another device for Cross Stitch World.... yes I said Cross Stitch World LOL.
In case you're interested or just in case you didn't know, there are styluses (styli?) such as what Amazon has, that can work as such on *any* phone. The ones I use are rubber tipped. And though they're nowhere near as good as, say, an S-pen or Apple pencil, they really do make working with phone touches more precise.
I know this guy who found a bunch of rectangles and circles and polygons and triangles and squares while doing a dumpster dive. Now *that* was geometry trash.
Looks like you're running the old port of source engine, which was based on Nvidia Shield port and not very well optimized especially on Mali android GPU drivers. Nillerusr did release a new port which uses steam resources, and should run much better and has better controller support. Anyway cool video as always.
LMAO literally watching this vid on the EXACT same phone 😭 (my iphone 11 broke a couple weeks ago so I have to settle for this till I can save for a new iphone.)
Reminds me of a phone I had when often you'd swipe up and a full 5 seconds later it would finally move. The worst part is it visually has no lag spikes, but the touch was super delayed.
To properly review these kinds of cheap phones is to update and download everything so that it doesn't stress the system much. Debloating also helps by uninstalling and disabling unnecessary apps. After you done all that I bet you can run 1080p 60 on this phone decent enough and run geometry dash too.
I wonder how much ram it has. Because the box never shows the whole picture. Amd you have an awesome beautiful speaking voice. No joke dude, i wish i had your voice 👍🏾 great video too.
9:30 The reason why its downloading these random apps is that, When it gives you the prompt "Continue setup" and you wish to continue, it gives you another prompt for reading what apps will install. and you didnt read it. Idk why it wont show in the updates thing, and it happened to me too.
I've been with straightalk the past like 10 years, and just about any time I connect to wifi, it auto installs games and stuff without asking me first. I've got a Galaxy a54, by the way. It was originally 300, but I got it on sale for 150.
All government and pretty much all cheap pre paid phones are reconditioned to exellent shape physically, but are rejects for good reason. The Blu phone you have looks pretty nice. All phones no matter the quality, take time to get things adjusted and updated. A few hours is needed most times for that alone, plus some more along the way for a few days. All cheap phones come with bloatware, the automatic apps you never wanted. Most of them can be uninstalled or disabled
With so many questionable pre installed apps, You wouldn’t want to use any apps that may steal your personal information. For this reason it’s highly recommended if you value your business personal information don’t buy any phones with bloat ware especially those you can’t uninstall or disable at worst case.
probably glitchy due to background app installs. Pretty sure that is not legal to install apps without your consent after setting up the phone but anyways... Curious about CPU specs.
Apparently uses a Helio A22, that is a quad core using Cortex-A53. The GPU is a PowerVR. Except the fact the Helio is able to support Vulkan and OpenGL 3.2, the specs are on the level of a middle tier phone from 2016 (My old Android 5 Samsung Grand Prime was a A53 quad core)
Okay, so that's a track phone. You buy Gigabyte packs for that phone. Right? So, it's downloading all those games in the background using up your gigabyte pack that you just bought for it.
As an European I find it crazy your plans are still by the Gigabyte, while here in Romania they throw at you +5 GB offers at you in disgust just because they are only 5 GB
You have to turn off updates and any installs you set it to ask if you want something installed. Those would either be in the phone settings or in the play store. My phone kept trying to force me to install games to get thru the system update...I kept having to tell it skip this but it would not complete the updates without it so I finally just let it install one game then I uninstalled it, so you would need to uninstall them and also set it to update onlly when you confirm it to be updated.
