  • Tim's toy collection contains a number of items of cutlery. Not normally associated with toys, there are in fact many knives, forks or spoons that are either rather novel, or in some cases joke items. After all, you don't expect a humble teaspoon to play tricks on you, do you? But with Tim's collection, anything is possible!

Canalave Maiden Unfortunately that isn't the case, at least not to my knowledge. I've asked someone before if they have ever felt it (I described the feeling briefly), and they said no. They told me they had trouble sleeping, which is why I suggested it. Many scientists don't even think ASMR exists, so I said "You may have it," meaning that the person may experience it. I didn't mean to make it sound like a disease.

Really, though, I know some people say they don't get it at all... But there must be some tiny level to which we all experience some form of ASMR. At least, that is what I think.

Tim’s videos are calming and relaxing thanks to his soft-spoken voice and tone. The items he showcases are unique and most often things you have not seen before.
And I suppose the greatest quality that makes his videos so impossible to quit watching is his passion for his collecting hobby. He loves what he does, and we get to be a part of it thanks to this channel.
In this age of over-the-top yelling and action in UA-cam and entertainment in general, it’s nice to take a break from all the fuss and sit down with Tim, indulging in his hobby.
His gentle tone and genuine interest in what he does makes the already interesting items he shows off that much more enjoyable to watch him play with.
I never thought I would be interested in a channel that reviews decades-old novelty items, but here I am, two days after discovering the channel, already having watched at _least_ 40 videos. These enthralling, relaxing ASMR-inducing videos are like a drug without any negative side effects, other than perhaps the fact that from now on, I probably will never be able to see something interesting in real life again without immediately going “Extraordinary!” with an English accent.

+harmsolidsnake Do you have and can you demonstrate anything that does even half as much? The spoons he shows are very similar to some folding ones that come with some self heating vending machine snacks. They are not meant to get a standing ovation. They come in a range of colors indicating different temperatures, some fairly close, hence the slight change in color. Activate the heating process, stick the spoon in, when it changes color it's just right. Some spoons will go through further color changes if left in longer or stuff gets hotter.
There were some similar stirring sticks in a chemistry set I had as a kid.
You call yourself an intellectual? Intellectualize before speaking. "insulted by popular culture and media." and yet here you are at a popular culture and media site. And doing the insulting yourself.

I suspect Tim didn't know their best feature: turning to a deep color in cold water -- dark yellow or dark pink-red. I've seen tumblers of pale pink thermochromic plastic that work this way. Fill one with cold water, and it looks like you've filled it with cherry juice.

There are people dying everyday in the middle east due to bomb blasts thanks to Al-Quida and Taliban while Americans are busy watching a little shitty pop star being arrested. Stop whining about something that happened more than 10 years ago, you have taken your damn revenge by screwing over the middle east.

I remember the spoon with the knot in it!
It used to belong to a commercial for a German soup company. In the TV Ad, people would prepare the soup, then try it with a spoon, and of course it tasted so good the spoon knotted itself up.
Didn't know those existed as actual, buyable items! Very nice find indeed.
