As a Colts fan in London - only saw him play live once in a loss to the Jags at Wembley in 2016. Didn't know at the time how injured he was because he played top level, gave his all and had a smile on his face doing it. Still can't believe he's retired - I'm happy for him, disappointed for Ballard, Reich and his teammates, angry with Grigson and Irsay and trying to be optimistic for the season with our talented, hungry, young team but this should've been so much different. One thing I'll never forget - his deep ball throws to TY (especially the post routes against the Texans and Titans). Majestic.

Thanks for this. I'm a die hard Patriots fan but I respect Luck's decision and what he was able to do during his career. It sickens me to see other Pats fans laughing and saying "ha Brady has pliability Luck can't keep up." Like seriously? What works for one guy doesn't necessarily work for another guy. Not only are those comments insensitive, but they give Pats fans a bad name and feed the stereotype. I can name names, but rather than screenshot a reply for my Instagram story, I'll keep quiet.
Andrew Luck had a great seven years in the NFL. Hed led his team to the playoffs and made the pro bowl last season. I wish him the best in his future endeavors. 🙏
After hearing Shannon Sharpe talk about Andrew Luck, I feel retirement is what was best for him. To many injuries and surgeries year after year can impact how you view what you're doing.

When you’re injured and you sit back and think, “why am I doing this” most players can think back to where they came from and find the dog in them that it takes to persevere. Others, they *QUIT* and walk away with their one-of-a-kind contracts paying out bonuses of 25 million plus.
This guy Andrew makes me so sad: a great quarterback who was just crammed full of talent. He created so many yards by moving around the pocket, going upfield himself if needed and could obviously outsmart defenses managed the clock with the best. Even his rookie season it was obvious. He would sometimes throw interceptions but then after that would overcompensate with a win if he didn’t dig too deep a hole. He literally made the sport fun to watch because like Manning, found a way to win so with enough time in the game it was doable. It just makes me sad because he had so much potential kind of like our country has so much but politicians hold it back. But I shouldn’t get started.. I get why he quit but hated how he did it since the timing was so bad. He made the game insatiable with his ability that I can only imagine the networks loved it. Cheers, Bill
