The Gentle Giant: A Commercial Hen Caring For Heritage Bronze Poults ☺️

My 40 lb. Broad Breasted White turkey hen has adopted the newly introduced Bronze poults. I find this fascinating, simply because the Broad Breasted turkeys are too big to reproduce naturally, this one doesn’t even lay eggs, yet the maternal instinct is still there. Enjoy!

Turkey hens are the best babysitters. Mine took over the care of some chicks because momma chicken was done.

@@pretendfarm All I can say is I have seen two other hens act this way so I don't know if it is a turkey thing.
