I too am never bored with your videos Kevin. You have so much knowledge to share with us it is amazing. A video regarding what to choose for starter animals would be good, like the snake family, monitors, other types of lizards, turtles and torts, iguana's, there are a bunch of interesting animals out there, but not all of them are good for a beginner. Example: I got a silky bearded dragon. Big mistake and ignorance. She shed so bad she lost toes. the vet said we were doing all the right things for her. we tried so hard to prevent that from happening. That's what you get from buying from a pet store. those kinds of warnings not too many pet stores will provide you. They just want the sale.
@Kevin your videos are not boring and you are filming while trying to teach us how to handle different species and getting chewed on doing it I think your very much about these animals and about changing people's minds about reptiles. I wish I could do your job but I don't think I want to be in the public eye as much but I love that you are called to do this work for if nothing else conservation of reptiles and the ecosystem!!! I love the videos!!!!!
Hi Kevin Loved this video. The little chicken was so cute. Your knowledge of knowing the mood of the snake is so amazing. You let that mangrove bite you. It is an angry snake.❤🐍Cindy
How can someone as skilled as you be boring kevin ? Every time you make a video , you are showing something new and you spread knowledge not only to reptile enthusiasts but to anybody. You are a gem that keeps improving the hobby and the business.
Your behavior videos have taught me a lot in the last year but I think I've been gifted with the two sweetest ball python a person could ask for. My BEL is the only one that's ever struck out...and it wasn't even near me it was at thin air behind him. It was a "watch mom...I can do this" like a toddler. The same little boy love to crawl up to tongue flick my nose and just rest there. It's one of the most awesome things to be nose to snoot with a snake and just have them calm and watching you without fear. My normal girl will crawl out of her cage and up my arm when I open for her...her name is Indiana and she's always ready for adventure. BP's are just total characters with huge personalities.
I could never get bored of you Kevin!! Your personality, or rather, personalities are so entertaining and I anxiously anticipate every video and short you post!! ❤

The Malagasy Ground boa and the Dalberts are gorgeous, as is the Papuan Python. So sleek! Also, cute chicken lol. Edit: if you do a patreon with a lower cost like five bucks ill join in a heartbeat. Not bored at all! Love watching you and learning new things! When I moved into my current house the previous owner left a baggie with a note about the house and ended it talking about taking care of the Monarch Butterflies and I've not seen this many in over 30 years. I remember a previous video you did about them and I'm trying to go back and find it! I've told the butterflies that I would find it and see what I need to do to keep them around and they said please tell Kevin thank you lol. I talk to honey bees too. And of course they talk back to me. You should hear the cats when I'm in the catio. They talk back too. I need a chicken now😅
You might want to look at my Instagram. Evilmorphgod, I was able to show further. I’m documenting further as I let him chew on me for over 2 minutes and I wanted to See what happens next!

By the way I am on my first ever clutch of ball pythons they are currently in the incubator I have a question I can't seem to get an answer for . So when I point my temp gun in the incubator it self it reads 88.5-90 but when I point it at the box my eggs are in it reads 84-86 which temp am I supposed to have at 88.5 the box or in the incubator it self now my eggs are on day 53 and they have been doing amazing no mold and I see movement in all of them (I learned from the best , you and Brian ) also Sunday is my husbands birthday and I really wanna cut them open that day would it be ok too that would be day 57 . Thank you in advance if you get a chance to answer my questions and if not I understand and still appreciate you!
Absolutely. Snakes only have a few emotional states. Fear, hunger, contentment. Stick to no more then small stages. 15-30 min max in the beginning. Some will enjoy it some won't. Learn to read your animal
I couldn't hear it mentioned in the video (though I may have missed it); what species is at 13:38? That snake's absolutely beautiful. (Although, I think all are!)
I find it super clean and keeps my employees on top of things. With mulch in many cases they tend to get sloppy. It cost me more but I can inspect instantly.
Ive got to be honest. I hate to see an animal live its whole life cramped in a box like that. Its nothing to do but sleep. As an animal lover im surprised you do that. Bit disappointed in you.
@user-wz8kj6ly9u correct, but they have enrichment, they can move around, they can bask if they want to, they can hunt their food for something to do. Would you put any other animal in small a box with water and paper only? If his other snakes are given great enclosures with enrichment he know that snakes require it. Would he do that to his favourite snakes?
I agree. The snakes are clean and well fed, but are they living their best lives? The move towards naturalistic and bioactive enclosures is going to soon be the industry standard, I hope. It will raise the cost of snakes across the board, but that's not always a bad thing.
@YochevedDesigns I think it's time that we stop sweeping it under the carpet that breeding snakes are often abandoned in boxes. Just because you really like a breeder doesn't mean you can't call them out. Most other animals have had their habitat made better, like dog breeding not being kept in small cages. Not a single breeder has ever replied to these comments.
I mean Brian kind of did some sort of it I could never see the snake smell enough I mean I love Brian to death but they only let us see him talking not the snake when he's describing it
I wonder what if snake bites you from brachial vein. Seems like you wanted it to bite back of your arm. Its not a joke and snakes are not domestic animal. You are making very bad impressions for money.
Had a female Boa Constrictor for years and pet the side of her head on occasion. She would always flick her tongue towards my finger. She was a sweet heart and never bit me the nearly 15 years I had her. I never handled her for a week after eating.
Ami doing something wrong? All my snakes never musk hiss or bite and eat on their own terms. Except the kingsnake he likes takes food from hand and carries it away

7:43 Beautiful snake
Is there such a thing as handling your pet snake/reptile too much ? Also,Tell that chicken not to interrupt me while i'm commenting :)
Yes you can over handle/Over stress your snake.
Absolutely. Snakes only have a few emotional states. Fear, hunger, contentment. Stick to no more then small stages. 15-30 min max in the beginning. Some will enjoy it some won't. Learn to read your animal
Now you have to make a follow-up video if you got envenomated and it effected you.
Exactly, that’s coming.
@@NewEnglandReptile lol, taking one for the team.
What an excellent video
someone needs to get this man a gopro
Hey Kevin, you better be careful he nearly took off your whole arm.
I couldn't hear it mentioned in the video (though I may have missed it); what species is at 13:38? That snake's absolutely beautiful. (Although, I think all are!)
Axanthic Boiga dendrophila mild venom. Mangrove snake.
@@NewEnglandReptile Thank you!! I had wondered if it might be a mangrove snake, pigmentation abnormalities do make me second-guess though haha.
10:10 Stunning!!
Kevin, you pissed off the snake
I LOVE CHICKEN!!! ❤😂❤
15:00 Is that some kinda black and white mangrove snake?
What locality is that big boa?
Do they respond to different tones of voice.
Great question. Not sure.
bro keeps his animals in drawers
Why do the pythons live in paper instead of some other type of medium?
I find it super clean and keeps my employees on top of things. With mulch in many cases they tend to get sloppy. It cost me more but I can inspect instantly.
Where is snarfles
He’s here.
❤
👍🏼
Wow
Ive got to be honest. I hate to see an animal live its whole life cramped in a box like that. Its nothing to do but sleep. As an animal lover im surprised you do that. Bit disappointed in you.
Most snakes live most of their life in a burrow with their heads stuck out .....especially pythons that's what makes them feel secure and protected
@@smarttechaddictIt surprises me because I’ve seen set ups with more room and enrichment in his other videos.
I mean Brian kind of did some sort of it I could never see the snake smell enough I mean I love Brian to death but they only let us see him talking not the snake when he's describing it
💜💚💜💚💜
You're my hero. Probably a weird comment to leave, but I mean it. Thank you for everything you've taught me, Kevin. 🤍
