Super excited for ya, but how is a 955cc engine allowed in the supersport class?
The same way 765cc triple bikes are allowed in BSSP, and how Ducati had their 1198cc twin competing against 1000s in WSBK. Bike specific RPM limits and restrictions on modification are the most likely solutions. Possibly also a restrictor plate like in the junior cup Ninja 400s. The ZX6R already has a 37cc advantage over the GSXR and the R6.

Im excited. Just confused. I thought max cc was 750 & 2 cylinder for supersport. This bike makes significantly more horsepower then any bikes in that class. This bike with Josh behind the bars seems like everyone is just just going to be fighting for second place.

@@joshherrin I rode 126 miles yestrday on an errand.. got caught in snow squalls and dropped from 37F to 34F very windy .. In SW Michigan .
If we ever get enough snow to Snowobile you better be out there as it snows or it wll be raining and melting a day or two later..

Lost your superbike ride at Yamaha?
I wouldn’t say I lost my ride. I didn’t pursue them and they didn’t pursue me. I think it was a frustrating year for everyone involved and we are all happy to move on.

Really looking forward to seeing you race the Panigale. I went in on Saturday to see if they had a Panigale V2, and they were out, so I went home with a new R1 instead...

@@joshherrin nah, it’s all good, I tend to be impulsive. Haha. I decided to get the R1 now, and wait for the street fighter v2 to hit showroom floors. I had the Panigale 959 and like 8 other Ducs…. Really looking forward to the new street fighter. That will be my naked street bike and the R1 will be street and track.
You still doing the minim Moto stuff at the compound? My wife Donna is looking to get back into that and loved going down there…

I have not been to the Herrin Compound in a little while. I plan on going out there in December some time!
@@joshherrin yeah, I wanted to get the SF v4 but the cost, and the fact that 208hp is just crazy for a naked bike…. Kept me from buying it. Doing road Atlanta on a naked bike is not fun after 140mph…. At least for me at 6’4”…. I have nowhere to hide from the wind…. The smaller v2 looks brilliant for the road. Still fast, but doesn’t have all that wasted power that you can’t really make use of…
Good to hear you’re racing for 2022,but it doesn’t make sense to have a bike that is way more displacement and torque than the 600cc supersports,so will they let the gsxr 750 compete to even the playing field or allow the bore and stroke to be unlimited.I have a feeling that the competition isn’t gonna be close like it has been for the past years because I love the neck to neck racing!

@@Dashport-ih7ww if I am riding a bike with auto blip I only touch the clutch when I am starting and when I am stopping my bike. If I am riding a bike that does not have auto blip, I only touch the clutch for my shifts and as soon as I am in the gear I want to be in, I release the clutch. I never hold the clutch in the corners.
