Without filth, we wouldn’t be able to clean, and we wouldn’t have channels like this. Jason is basically the reason this channel exists, so he’s cool by me.

Anyone who ever moved into an apartment or house after I’ve moved out has gotten a spotless house/ apartment. Literally every wall window light fixture floor cupboard, baseboard, carpet, sink, toilet, tub or shower shower is thoroughly cleaned, the garage and basement are emptied and swept, the fridge/ freezer and oven and range top are sparkling clean. My mom and dad taught me this ( military housing and it’s just how I roll.

A tip my mom taught me when we were cleaning windows was to clean up and down on one side and side to side on the other side of the window. That way, if there are streaks, you can tell what side the streaked were on. Hope this helps in some way!😊

I think Jason needs to consider reporting his boss to HR for this ongoing harassment in the work place and by HR I mean his mom. Seriously though, their relationship reminds me of my dad and I. We always busted each other’s chops and had a good time. He passed away 17 years ago and I really miss him. Glad to see someone else having fun with their dad too.

I would LOVE for literally any apartment I've moved into to have been cleaned properly. I'm talking stuff in the fridge, mold and algae in the shower, grease/food in the oven and microwave, old stuff in the drawers and cabinets. And I'm always like... "so is it going to be cleaned before I move in?" and then they look surprised and say "it's already been cleaned." Someone wiped down the front of everything ... And that's all they did.

I just want to say - I’ve shown your videos to my sister who was following our mum down the path of neglecting her home and hoarding tendencies. We both have ADHD and cleaning just so happens to be a sort of hyper fixation for me but is painfully boring for her, so she was reluctant when I asked her to watch your videos with me. But she loves them, and we’re halfway through a huge declutter and clean of her home. She even made her own APC a few days ago ☺️

My mom's mental decline pretty much showed itself by the things she was hoarding and where she was stashing stuff (a cracker box in her linen closet? Paper towel holder in the underwear drawer...) I believe she was, as my nephew and I are, ADHD. It runs in families. Sometimes I find myself 'anti-hoarding', where I just can't stand seeing clutter anymore and start tossing stuff. Occasionally a family member will catch me in the act - but I'm getting older and beginning to feel the itch to shed the past again. Either that, or start leaving notes with mementos of when and where the bits came from. Or have a bonfire. Notes sound the least crazy.

Wish my landlord paid someone to do this before i moved in, instead i spent 2 full weeks deep cleaning EVERYTHING and took before and after pics just in case. The fridge and behind/ sides of the stove took 8 hours to finish at least. Nice trick for ovens is to line the bottom with heavy duty aluminum foil. It's a lot easier to change it once dirty than to worry about scrubbing out the oven.

Something to consider for cleaning burnt gunk is a pumice stone, found at big box hardware stores and elsewhere. Look for Pumie Scouring Stick. They’re best for the first layer of cleaning because they definitely can scratch surfaces. Use it on the oven racks and surfaces.

For toilet: There's a product called Mr Strong, it's big tablets that you can put in your toilet, if you use 3 of them and let them sit over night, no matter how dirty the toilet is, it will be as new the next day. For stinking fridges: If you place a deep dish with vinegar in it, in the fridge and close it and let it sit for 24 hours, the vinegar fumes will neutralize the stink. Afterwards the fridge will smell heavily of vinegar, but just let it stand open for a few days and the smell will be gone.

We moved into a rental house across the street from us when our house burned and was being rebuilt. All of the burners had burnt on food. I took photos. I cleaned the burners and had them sparkling. No more burnt on food. I cleaned all the baseboards, shampooed the carpeting, and washed the windows. In general, I cleaned every speck of that place. When we moved back to our house, the realtor said they had sent a Cleaner to prepare it for the next tenant. However, there was nothing to clean. The cleaners said the place was spotless. Always leave a place better than you found it.

Yes, they are devil worshippers. In Scandinavia nobody uses top sheets, they use duvets and change the duvet cover and fitted sheet each time they change the bed. If two people sleep in the bed they have one fitted sheet, two twin duvets. No fighting over the blanket because each has their own. They also make a lot of devil worshipping heavy metal there too and I’m sure these things are connected.

    • @maryannanderson2213
      @maryannanderson2213 Рік тому +11

Post 10 does more than clean out blocked drains. He drives around looking for streets that are flooded because of a blocked culvert and he clears that culvert so the street is no longer blocked causing a hazard to traffic. He picks up tadpoles that are in mudpuddles that are drying up and transplants them to a larger pond so they won't die when all the water is dried up. He took many tadpoles home with him and put them in little kiddie pools that he has in his backyard so they can grow to adulthood. One of my favorite videos of him is when he is out in his backyard sitting on the ground by one of those pools, sharing a watermelon with his little tadpole friends! He also will not kill a spider.
He just seems to respect all LIFE whether plant or animal and I think he is the best friend of the planet I have ever seen on UA-cam and it is all strictly on a volunteer basis. He just does it because he wants plants and animals to thrive. His videos are often used by teachers to show their students how something works or to teach them to respect their environment. He certainly does "clean out blocked or plugged culverts" but he does WAY more than that. No, I'm not his mother! 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Your client actually did a pretty good job cleaning up the place before she moved out. Saved you all a ton of cleanup time. When my hubby did maintenance work for a local landlord's duplexes, whenever someone moved out, the units were almost always trashed. Cleanups took a week at minimum. He has all kinds of stories of stuff he found in there.
Interesting to note about the hard water in your area. I always thought the Midwest had much softer water than here in AZ. AZ water is so hard it'll cause your hair to break off. You just about have to have a water softener out here if you want to save your water appliances and plumbing.

My husband had a good idea for glass shower doors: After cleaning - Spray with Rain- X [usually used on car windshields] per directions then after each shower - use a shower squeegee to get the excess water off the glass. It helps in that you don't have to clean the glass as frequently. Love your channel... you inspire me and have taught me some cleaning methods that I love and that really work. God bless you and your family.

I got a Bissell steam shot, almost entirely to clean the fridge. I hate wiping off soap/cleanser in the fridge so much. I have a bunch of sensory issues and frustration around traditional fridge cleaning. And there's always like rock hard grenadine syrup somewhere that takes 8 hours to rub off. But with the steam cleaner, the steam just destroys dried food like that, then you wipe up the pink water. It's awesome, for non-commercial cleaning at least.

Your suggests on cleaning products is very helpful. And I love the before and afters. In all my years of renting apartments I have never moved into a CLEAN apartment where you didn't have to clean and just move your stuff in. The last few apartments I did move into I asked the landlord to clean the carpets and make sure the cupboards and bathrooms were scrubbed. If they didn't have the time I asked for money off my rent to do it myself. And they would. Sometimes you have to strike a deal, or drop kick them, lol

💯 agree about glass shower doors. I had a friend who was in the window washing biz. He, after years of begging him, gave me his secret for absolutely beautiful glass cleaning. Keep in mind tho if ur dealing with Pella windows or tinted windows don’t use this trick.
Spray with whatever window washing solution ur using. And swear to God this is the key…
Use 000 super fine steel wool. Clean the glass in small circular motions. Go over the glass with a squeegee. Wipe edges with a micro fiber then wipe again with a ultra micro. What this does is remove grime and at the same time smooths out the glass. That keeps raindrops from sticking to the window and creating water spots. I find that it cleans glass shower doors (make sure their actually glass) beautifully. But to be safe always do a test spot. This works great for mirrors as well.

As someone who hates the energy expenditure required to clean, especially on top of the energy expenditure to pack and move, it is always appreciated to move into a mostly spotless house. It makes it easier to do regular maintenance cleans.
Unfortunately, some of the slum lords I've leased from will check for damage (e.g., cat used the closet as a litter box, former tenant spin kicked the door off its hinges) or if the place needs paint. However, they leave it to my judgment if the house is clean. If I say it isn't, they'll deduct from the former tenant's cleaning deposit and 🤣 I'll still have to clean anyway.

Hey Team, I am a cleaner here in Australia and we also use bar keepers friend. So all our showers have glass doors and a little tip for soap scum or lime scale on them, get some bar keepers friend on a soft scourer (damp) and make it in to a paste. Rub it all over in circular motion and leave on for a while if you can. Wash off with water and a wet micro fiber cloth and then wipe with a dry micro fiber cloth. Detail as normal with whatever spray product that works for you. We have a product here called Halo and it’s AMAZING! Hope that helps! And as always, suck it, right in the face hole ❤❤

This apartment was very well taken care of. I like the hard wood floors. Great job cleaning 👍 You were lucky to get butterscotch in the mystery crud in the refrigerator, lol. Years back, I ordered a caramel sundae from Burger King. I licked the "caramel" off the lid 😬😵 it wasn't caramel! Someone put some kind of sauce they used on sandwiches into the caramel pump container, and it was on my sundae 🤢 The caramel and this mystery sauce was about the same color, and they come in a pouch. So, either it was an honest mistake, or someone deserved a major spin kick. See ya next time 😀
