Great interview with a great kid - Saw his High School film when recruited and thought he would be good. Didn't realize at that time how good he would become. Kenny THANKS for being you and helping us achieve the ACC Championship. For long time Pitt fan (1962) it was without the biggest highlight next to the National Championship. So happy we made to Charlottee and the experience! You are class and one hell-of a representative of the Univerity of Pittsburgh.
My name is Richard Lovelace. I am 75 and a Panther fan for 70 years. I have seen a lot of good players in my years both Pitt and its opponents. Starting with Dan Marino and Joe Montana of N.D. a Pittsburgh kid. I may have been the first person in Pittsburgh to recognize Kenny's talent. My son and I were at his freshman spring game, and I remember him coming in at some point in the 2nd half. I was watching his command in the huddle, footwork, , accuracy, presence, and composure. He definitely had a swag and I could sense that he had the it. After just a few moments, I looked at my son Jarrod and said, "this kid has talent and is going to the next level. My son looked at me and said, Yep I think we are seeing someone special. So, here we are in 2022 and this once boy faced young skinny freshman is the premier quarterback in the NFL draft. Go get 'em K.P., we believe your career is going to be fun to watch! This pod was fun to watch. H2P!
Your Interviews are so great, this mix of casual intimacy, with the insider look on things related to athletes, the connections/coaches you guys have in common, just awesome !! I hope your cast becomes a national success !! So refreshing and smart ! I'm pleased to discover a smart and cool guy in Kenny's interview. I like his style and the generosity in his game, he makes it look like he's playing with a big heart, and that's really enjoyable to watch. I'm curious if you could get George Pickens on interview ? His rehab is something from outer world, he has exceptional talent and would make a great look from the receiving part of the ball...now that we got to know Kenny a little more. Those two are a specially promising duo in the league.
I feel like I am the president of the KP8 fan club. I have been a fan of his since he dazzled in his first game vs Miami. I took heat from many backing this kid. He passed the eye test for me long ago. Now others are finally realizing what I have known for years that Kenny would be a fantastic QB. Buying his jersey on draft day no matter the team[even if it is the Browns😉] #H2P.
I couldnt be more disappointed that the Steelers picked this future back up AT BEST. If covid didnt allow him to play at PITT til he was.... what, like 30.... and it wasnt the weakest QB draft since 2013, he MAYBE gets picked in the 6th or 7th rnd. This is gonna set the Steelers back 10 years. Ah well, maybe we can FINALLY get rid of Tomlin with all the losing on the horizon. A terrible QB and a coach who hasnt won in the playoffs without players Cowher drafted...... its gonna be a ROUGH few years.
