Almost 6 years later (2020) and this video is helping me find a new route to Cloud Splitter! Thank you guys again! You never know what a 6 year old youtube video could do.

When I lived in Cincinnati, I used to go the Gorge in the summer/fall. Cloudsplitter was my secret sanctuary. I loved that place. Enjoy it!

Thank you for this video. It's because of this that my son and I found cloud splitter today and it was everything we hoped for.

Used your directions to get there today w my 7 and 5 year old kids. Thanks. The log at the split is now broken and requires a nice chimney climb to get up into the split

Thanks for the video guys! This was a lot of help, I've gone to the Gorge numerous times and have never gotten directions as specific as these! Great choice in music by the way, definitely makes you want to watch it to the end!

The Internet is weird. I found this video while I was searching for reviews of Russel Banks' novel *Cloudsplitter* about the famous abolitionist John Brown - it's named after this exact mountain, lol.

Great video, who picked the music tho?
Cloud Splitter was my favorite spot to visit. I carved a bowl into the rock on top in 2001, i hope it is still there. I would put my roaches in it and seal them in there with a bottle cap for the next visitor to enjoy.

YES thanks for adding this we got lost to trying to find this also.. I believe we found the trail just not cloud splitter, we hiked up as if we were going to Indian staircase sorta kinda. My question is instead of parking at bison way is there a place to park where you would enter the unmarked trail head at where you referenced 6/10 of a mile before???

great video, very good directions. we had one heck of a time finding it last summer. Did I recognise a little bit of Indian Staircase near the end of this video ?
