Ever since she was the one from the 40s team to have the courage to take that skateboard leap, I've started liking her so much, I really thought she would make it much further with her courage and ambition, and she seemed like a genuine, nice person :(((
Ileana dodged a bullet there. I honestly thought she was going to go home, considering Gordon warned her she had "one more chance" after sparing her in the Punishment Pass Challenge.
She has been quite flawless before tonight however, quite confident in both challenges and services. Definitely no Alex of Cheyenne, but very very strong.

We can say whatever we want about Ileana this service near the end but at least she was still able to try and hold her own and bounce back off the meat station.

Mindy in the beginning of that service didn’t hold the Apps station down on her own and had Dafne babysit her for half of the service. At this point of the game, Ramsay expects you to hold a station down on your own and also have more confidence in yourself. Mindy unfortunately didn’t have enough confidence in herself and her plea here kinda showed it. At least Ileana gets the boot the next episode lol.
Mindy is literally my 3rd favorite this season. I love her volunteering herself for the half pipe, I love her spirit and tenacity. I love the Cool Old Lady archetype she brings to the table (note: I don’t think 40’s is old, but considering most contestants are in their 20’s or 30’s…). I love her sweetness and her fight.

This is why she’ll always be respected & appreciated as a favorite this season, for she’s more than an inspiration for her family. At least she lasted longer than most of the 40+, especially Billy👎
This bothers me too, and it seems like I see it every season. Everyone brags about how good of a leader they are, but most of them never back it up. Plus, what good is a team full of leaders? Surely someone has to take orders from somebody else
Let’s be real, Mindy was sent out not because she was the worst of the season nor of that episode, but because she didn’t bring the drama or much good TV, like what was expected. She seems like a sweet woman, though, and she’d be my choice for Miss Congeniality of this season.
Iirc, in FlynnMasters stream, S21 contestants said Mindy had 5 producers walked out from her because she refused to mock her fellow contestants. While it couldnt be sole reason Mindy got eliminated, it surely become one of the consideration why they kept Illeana instead of Mindy.
I know Jim from S6 said producers eliminated him for refusing to start a fight with Robert so it seems producers care more about drama than the cooking part of the show

I 100% agree. Abe's behavior was disgusting. You can't be a leader by putting people down; You have to bring them up. I'll never know why he thinks he's worthy.
The 20 something’s are literally one of my least favorite HK teams. Like I’m not saying that they were season 16 blue team level of bad, but every one of them (aside from Alejandro, Vlad, and Sakari) got on my nerves in some way. Like the whole looking down on the 40 something’s, mistreating Tara (my 4th favorite of the season), all sorts of stuff

Yeah, I noticed that the 20+ women are bullying the 40+ women and the culprits are mostly Sommer, Cheyenne, and Illeana. Dafne is mostly neutral since she's the oldest of the 20+ group , Allysa also used to but she already got eliminated. Later, they will conspired against Tara as the only 40+ woman left.
Unpopular opinion but I don’t think Mindy was robbed. Not only was her hand held for half of that service but her plea to stay was kinda disappointing. Had Mindy believed in herself more and stepped up more, then maybe she would’ve stayed but I say she went at the right time.
And she had the audacity to accuse Zeus of wanting to hear himself talk, after she lost to Orange Soda boy nonetheless. Plus, if you go back to the video, you’ll be able to see why that scene bothers me so much
she swapped careers and jump right into the deep end with hell’s kitchen, especially in a season in which the older chefs really had the decks stacked against them. it doesn’t surprise me, honestly.
Alot of these chefs explaining to gordon why they should stay are juat gaslighting. He can see right through it. But can't blame them for fighting for there careers I guess.
